  1. Putting it on the nand is iffy at best, unless you have a 4gb console. Fake anim will always be sort of slow, as it has to wait for the system to initialize the video, and runs on top of the nxe dashboard, so it still has to load the NXE files, then dashlaunch launces the fakeanim app, then your default app. The stock animation works at more of a bootloader sort of level. That is a bad example, but I hope you get the idea.
  2. Have you tried running it from NXE? all propperly installed god games will show up there. also is contpatch enabled in your launch.ini. If this all checks out, try installing the game in NXE and see if it plays from hdd. if it does run nxe2god on it and try again. Also, I have had issues copying GOD/DLC/TU files via ftp, if this is how you are transfering your games, make sure your FTP client is set to binary mode, not ascii, or try copying via usb device(Better option, much faster). If this is the case, when you go to storage settings under NXE settings, the game will show up as corrupted data.
  3. I never use the installer from the disc when installing on a JTAG. I always just copy the content folder to my internal HDD, after having issues with GTAV content installer freezing when running from HDD, and not installing any data. I have also found it is slightly quicker to install this way, as you dont have to remove the whole disc from the hdd, and update your database. You only copy the needed data.
  4. If I run the test, using a UPNP enabled router, it fails all ports, but I have successfully played on link with the settings the way they are. Then again, I havnt actually played on link in a while.
  5. Out of curriosity, Did you try taking the original 2tb drive out of its external enclosure and hooking it up directly to an onboard sata port? It may be worth trying, as the usb to sata converter may be the problem here.
  6. It has been said many times, you can launch disk based games from the hud, or the file manager, or the file browser, so it is not a priority. While it could be done, it might be a while, or it may be never.
  7. Be patient, they havnt finished converting the existing trainers, give it a month, and there should be a few hundred of them. It would be nice, if they would release 1 bulk package, with all of the trainers, for easy install. It would also come in handy for installers, so they can send out the consoles with all the trainers. It would make it easier for the clients, as they would already have the trainers for what ever game they are playing.
  8. So it is kinda like the way it loads the title updates? I noticed that it patches in the TU at game load also, which takes a while on games with bigger TU's. eg. Black Ops 2. Every time I launch this game, it takes like 20-30 sec just to apply TU. I would guess that FSD handled this in the same way, just didnt tell you like aurora does, as that game took forever to launch from there also. Just out of curiosity, is there any reason we manually patch in the title update at game load, instead of sticking it in Cache folder, like a retail. Maybe games would load quicker if that was handled.
  9. the games will still be there, you will need to reset your game paths, and redownload your covers, and title updates.
  10. I had this problem when my R-Jtag chip stopped sticking to the dvd drive, and the cpu_rst wire broke. at first, it would glitch, but would take like 10 minutes to boot, which is horrible for r-jtag. it was an easy fix though, resolder the wire, and then add some tape to stop the chip from moving. long story short, I would take it apart and check all the wiring.
  11. I can attest the unofficial dashlaunch is crap. I updated just to see what kind of issues it had, and I found that plugins would randomly crash, and some of the patches didnt work at all, the only thing it did do right was autostart the dash, and run fakeanim. I wouldnt trust it with anything else though.
  12. That would be an awesome feature, but that seems like a lot of work, not only on the Freestyle Plugin, but also on the link server software. Also, I was under the impression that the plugin uses up to much memory on the xbox as it is(Just confirmed by MaesterRowen). I could be completely wrong, but I would add to that list on the plugin a Trainer option menu, so you can easily adjust game modifications, and to the link side of thing, a popup that tells you when you join a system link lobby if the host is using trainers or not. Either way, the biggest thing that should be changed in the Plugin, is the fact that it still says Freestyle Home, instead of Aurora Home. All that being said, It would be awesome if they would integrate a media player that supports more then just mp3,wma,wmv files, that doesnt require xell, and also works with DLNA servers. I really hate that most of the stuff I stream from my computer has to be re-encoded on the fly, it uses up to much CPU time, especially if 2 or 3 people are watching videos on xboxes throughout the house. As I said before, I am quite happy with the new Aurora, and have no complaints, and I REALLY appreciate that the DEVs are taking the communities advice, as far as adding what we want to aurora.(File Manager, Language Packs, Built in Trainer manager, etc). At this point, I cant think of what they could do to make it any better. I am sure they will find a way though.
  13. after playing with the new version, I must say I am happy. Just a thought though, if you guys could add a trainer downloader, like the TU downloader, that would be great, and if you could have it download the required TU, or tell you that you need a specific TU that would be amazing. Also a quick switch on the filters would be nice also. Keep up the good work, and thank you for releasing this awesome work.
  14. download a fresh copy and start over. or get the new aurora v0.3b. It has most of the features of FSD, and a built in trainer engine. It is epic, and a lot faster then FSD.
  15. So I am trying to update aurora, and the download keeps failing. The most it got to was 85%, then it shows up with a pop up that says download failed. any ideas on how to fix it, as aurora says I have more than 200+ games, so I would rather not start from scratch, as that is a lot of covers, and Titile Updates, etc to redownload. Update: I got it to work, if you are having issues, disable auto content scan, and try again. Also have to say, I am loving that file manager, it is amazing, Now off to get rid of FSD, and all my trainer apps(not that I use them anyway.)
  16. Yeah, people really need to mess with it before they complain that it isnt working. lol.
  17. Awesome News. Thank you Pheonix. Keep up the good work, and good bye FSD.
  18. Thank you. Been waiting for this. Cant wait to check it out.
  19. I dont see them adding fakeanim to aurora. It would be nice, if they could have fakeanim show up as fast as the stock animation. I understand why it doesnt, but it would be cool if they could work this out.
  20. Well, I figured it was on the internet already, when I saw this, but I try not to download my games. lol. This also explains how it gets on the internet. I thought all of the leaks were either beta versions for testing, or something leaked internally at the games companies.
  21. I thought this game wasnt released yet.
  22. Will do. Didnt think that could cause that kind of issue.
  23. Recreate the mu, but dont forget to customize the size. there is an option, then set it to size you want. I have never had it erase the drive with this method.
  24. No trainers, I dont use them. XBDM.xex is probably loaded, as I use xbox neighborhood from time to time. I couldnt say for sure, as I am not in front of my xbox right now.
