  1. Okay then, I'm certain I could fix this, however, I live in Utah so you'd have to ship your box.

    Xbox

As I understand it, if you have weather enabled in FSD3 it can cause slowdown in some games.
  3. New games require new assets supplied by the dashboard, current kernel is 16537, without the updated assets your Xbox will start acting weird. Be sure you understand what you are doing thoroughly before updating as updating incorrectly could brick your Xbox. I wrote a tutorial a while back that explains many of the reasons why it is important to keep your console up to date. here is the link: http://www.realmodscene.com/index.php?/topic/349-update-your-rghjtag-with-xebuild-gui-and-nand-flasher-for-xbox-360/ The tutorial is out of date, so don't use that to update your box, but the info contained in the article is important for understanding how your RGH works.
  4. Are you running the latest dashlaunch, F3 and microsoft kernel?
  5. Welcome back Chee5y! Love your work and am excited to load up my favorite skin of all time: Freestyle desk!
  6. I'd delete the file from your hard drive through your system settings and then download it again.
  7. I think cheating is retarded and I don't blame microsoft for handing you a profile ban for doing it.

    F3 Skins

Nope! Why not just update your f3 rev 402 to 775?
  9. I vaguely remember dealing with this before, try this: open your tray and then, without turning your console off first, unplug your console. Then, push your tray halfway in and plug in your console. Power your console on. When you do this it will suck your tray back in which I believe should fix the problem. Then again, I'm going off of a memory of something I tried for a customer about 2 years ago so it might not help at all! If that doesn't work, maybe try it with the tray fully ejected when you plug it back in. Good luck!
  10. Only flash eh? That's a shame, when I first saw it I thought it was going to be this big revolution in the mod scene and then it fizzled out and you never heard about it after that. If it only plays flash then its no wonder I suppose.
  11. I actually recall a small bit of news about a guy named PSDev running homebrew through his DVD tray, but it has been a while and I don't know that it is being actively pursued. Here is a link to the story: http://www.dashhacks.com/xbox-360/hacks/psdev-goes-360-gets-homebrew-running-with-ixtreme-flashed-boxes.html There are links from that page going to PSDevs twitter account showing some screen shots. Could be a fake, but its an interesting idea!
  12. I use a program called fatxplorer, you have to buy a licence for it, but after dealing with the frustration caused by other programs I find it well worth the money. Be sure your external drive is formatted to fat32 otherwise your xbox won't be able to read it inside of freestyle dash. Your microsoft dash will not be able to read fat32 at all, The 32 gb sounds like you have formatted it inside of the microsoft dashboard which uses a format called fatx, this is the max that your Xbox will natively allow you to format. By using a feature in fatxplorer you can increase the amount of fatx memory that your Xbox 360 can read from a usb drive. This will allow you to use any size usb drive in your microsoft dash.
  13. You have the latest fs3, which is good, but be sure you have the 16537 Xebuild dash and dashlaunch 3.10 installed. This might not have anything to do with link, but is solves 99% of the problems that people report on this site.
  14. Can you access it from the file manager?
  15. It seems like we've been getting a lot of this sort of thing lately.
  16. Man, I can't tell you how many teenagers come to me asking me to mod their box so that they can go and cheat at CoD. I tell them it can't be done and send them packing. I hate cheaters, even cheating in single player games only cheapens the experience for you. Makes you overpowered and shortens the game, the whole point is the struggle to achieve victory, without that struggle the accomplishment of winning the game or beating your friends is pointless. That being said I do enjoy mods that change the game in an interesting way that deepens the experience with greater variety. Hell, DotA all stars was born from creative modding! However, those sorts of mods are few and far between.

  18. Then it sounds like you aren't running the latest version of Xell on your console. You will probably need to update it as well as get the latest copy of xmplayer. Correct me if I'm wrong Swizzy, but aren't we on V0.0.4? Thanks for the awesome video player by the way!
  19. i believe fatxplorer has a function for this, but you have to pay for the program.
  20. The official response is that it is no longer in development, but that shouldn't stop an enterprising coder from developing his own plugin.
  21. Hi there Jason, there are three things that you need to update in order to make the most of your new console. 1.Freestyle dash, which is currently in its 3rd release meaning you are way behind! 2. Dashlaunch, the newest version of dashlaunch contains many fixes that allow your system to work correctly with the latest and greatest games. Dashlaunch works behind the scenes doing many things but one of its functions is to redirect your console from booting microsoft dash to the Freestyle dash. If it is doing this (even intermitently) then yes, you have dashlaunch although it is probably extremely out of date. and 3. your microsoft kernel, this can't be updated through microsoft, you have to use a specialized program to update update the microsoft kernel or it will break your jtag. Their are many great tutorials on this site that will help you to do all 3 of these things. So to answer all of your questions:1. No, you don't automatically have it but yes, you do have it but need to update it.2. No, to play the latest and greatest games you need the latest dahlaunch, freestyle dash and Microsoft kernel (modified through Xebuild)3. Here is a tutorial by Wabashman for getting your console up to date through Xebuild, since you don't have the latest version of Xell (push eject to boot to find out what Xell is) you won't be able to use the tutorial in your link to update. It has a lot of pictures and is very easy to follow, I would recommend it. http://www.realmodscene.com/index.php?/topic/413-quick-and-easy-way-to-update-your-jtagrgh/4. I would update your microsoft kernel first through Wabashmans tutorial. After that, find the freestyle dash update program found here http://www.realmodscene.com/index.php?/topic/24-fsd-22-installer/ it will install the latest version of freestyle dash and dashlaunch for you if you have your console connected to the internet (do NOT accept any updates or try to connect to Xbox live, this will brick your box!).For more understanding on HOW updating works and why you should, check out this tutorial, the tutorial is a little outdated, but the info is good to know. http://www.realmodscene.com/index.php?/topic/349-update-your-rghjtag-with-xebuild-gui-and-nand-flasher-for-xbox-360/
  22. i think irish dave is right, it doesn't sound to me like you have the knowledge or tools to fix this on your own. If FSD was corrupt, your Xbox would still boot to the microsoft kernel. The FSD kernel isn't actually a replacement dash that runs your xbox 360, its a game that operates as though it were a dashboard. This game must have the microsoft kernel files in order to run properly. The primary function of autogg isn't updating FSD, if you wanted to do that you should have just used the freestyle dash installer located on this site. The freestyle dash installer can be burned to a disc or run from a usb and will update your freestyle dash and dashlaunch if your xbox is connected to the internet. If you enable beta updates in FSD it will even update itself when connected to the internet.Going on, when you updated through autogg, you were not updating just FSD (even though that is one of the things that autogg CAN do) you apparently rewrote your Nand. The Nand of the Xbox can be thought of somewhat like a bios for a PC; without the Bios, or without the right bios your computer wouldn't be able to boot up. Similarly, if you updated your Nand through autogg with the wrong type of bios it will cause your Xbox 360 to stop functioning correctly. What you've described about the way your Xbox is booting, one green light, nothing else, is indicative of an incorrect bios. If you can't boot to Xell by pushing the eject button, I'm afraid your screwed. You will need to take it to the person who RGH'd or Jtagged your system in the first place and hope that they had the decency to save your CPU key and Nand. They will have the equipment needed to reflash (flashing meaning to rewrite) your Nand with the correct image. Then your console should work just fine again. In the future, it would behoove you to thoroughly research the process before updating your kernel. You'll want to know what type of motherboard your console has, what dashboard it needs, what your cpu key it needs and above all, never ever turn your console off in the middle of a Nand flash until the program your using says it is done.
