  1. what game is it? you may have the in game controller settings set to inverted
  2. Have you tried the Xbins link at the top of this page? It is a near complete repository of all things homebrew for the xbox 360.
  3. If you already have an RGH, stick with it. I don't think there's any reason to switch beyond boot times, what he said about less likely to be affected by updates is totally bogus.
  4. Just booted my console without my externals plugged in and noticed that all the titles belonging to both of those drives were dimmed out and the dashboard would not attempt to launch them, bravo! Little touches like that are making this a great dash!
  5. Not sure if it's appropriate to post this here, however, I put together a little boot animation with some art resources that Mattie was kind enough to send my direction. Hope you enjoy it! http://www.mediafire.com/watch/4q21n9ppxccrl1c/Aurora.wmv Here is a link to the video on youtube:
  6. OMG love dis releaze, just one small thing, could you change it to be exactly like FSDD3 rev 775 cause tabs are super duper and I hate learneing how to do new things and also could you make it be like M$ dash instead cause I changed my mind and also will this be live safe cause if it's not you guys are total boner heads cause I saw a guy do it on youtube with COD sniper modz and it was totes legit cause it was on youtube, plus I won't be donating my monies cause I'm totes broke from buying a $300 RGH and also it should grant wishes and make my dad respect me. K thx bye!
  7. Pretty sleek for an alpha release if you're asking me. I'm finding that this loads and browses significantly faster than FSD. Not only that but the browsing is much more fluid, large boxart looks vastly better on my 55" and even the spines are easy to read. I really like the filters feature and find that though they take a little getting used to, significantly cut down search times when dealing with large libraries. Also, the glowing gold favorites box is a good touch if you ask me. This release actually fixed a pressing problem I was having with FSD. I was using 2 x 1 TB external drives and a 500 GB internal. For reasons unknown to me, when I added the games folder from both Terabyte drives, it added double entries for every single game in my library, even XBLA games stored on the internal drive were doubled. I installed Aurora today and sure enough, problem solved! One minor thing, went to boot Halo 2 to test Xbox Classic compatibility (I'm running the Xbox1 compatibility files) and it wouldn't boot, instead it exited to M$ dash. Booted through FSD, created a save game, applied TU and map packss and then booted Aurora/Halo 2 and it worked just fine. Fantastic release! I can't wait for future updates, fantastic work as always!
  8. And here I thought the 360 scene was starting to fade! You guys are totally bonkers! Downloading now, can't wait to get started!
  9. $100 seems low to me, seems like a non modded console would cost as much, but hey, if you can find one, more power to you.
  10. It'd be helpful if you let us know where you lived, there are members on this forum from all over the world.
  11. If you have RGH there is really no need that I can see to having your DVD tray flashed. You can read ISO's straight from the hard drive and it will copy retail discs just fine without being flashed.
  12. If you are concerned about losing xbox live functionality why not just mod it so that it can dual boot? Then you have the best of both worlds.
  13. I wonder if its simply a hardware failure. Have your tried a different internal drive?
  14. It'd be great if this were fixed, however, keep in mind that FSD and Link is a free service provided by a disbanded development team who make virtually no money from this. If you want it fixed, make a big ass donation to justify the time it would take to fix it, or code it yourself, or just get xbox live.
  15. Yes, you should always strive to have the latest dashlaunch, FSD and Xebuild kernals installed. Don't just download the latest dashboard from microsoft and try and install it though, you'll brick your console. There are many tutorials on this site that will teach you how to safely update your original dashboard.
  16. the laser in your dvd tray is dying/dead. This is a fairly common problem in game consoles, DVD players, cd roms etc. A laser is somewhat comparable to a battery, after a while, they just get worn out and are no longer useful. New lasers cost about $10 on ebay (be sure you get the one for your specific drive) and there are abundant tutorials on how to install them via google.
  17. I'm going back to school in the Fall. I'll be getting a degree in programming, maybe then I can actually help contribute to some of this awesome homebrew stuff instead of just being a forum lurker.
  18. Aww man Swizzy... you're such a tease! now you're making me think this is something that is actually in the works.
  19. It will not, also, if you install dashlaunch along with FSD then you can adjust settings in dashlaunch to insure that it never will. Also, for a second line of defense I always disable xbox live account creation and connectivity inside of the family settings on the microsoft dashboard.
  20. retail as in a retail Microsoft Xbox 360 drive?
  21. Looks great Chee5y!
  22. Looks great, thanks Swizzy!
  23. Sweet! All the offline MW2 mods you can stand!
  24. Sounds Awesome, nice to see some new features coming out for F3, thanks Anas!
