  1. I'm a little confused here. Are you hooking up the wireless controller via a charge kit like seen below? http://imgur.com/XDa12lQ Or are you trying to connect completely wirelessly?
  2. You can edit the launch.ini file so that dashlaunch will look for your FSD install on the external. You would have to add the line "Default = Usb:Freestyledefault.xex". Once you have dashlaunch looking for FSD on the external, then you would just add the game path in FSD to look on your external for the games. You do this by going into FSD then going to: Settings>Content settings>Manage Game paths. Then just add the directory where all your games are saved (Usually usb:games).
  3. Yes you can. If you ever do set it up, then you'll see how unstable it is. Follow this tutorial: http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86026 Here is a list of compatible games: http://www.xbox360iso.com/fsd-connectx-games-t525655.html You are able to set a path to ConX: once you have set up and configured ConnectX on your console. In FSD, Settings>Content Settings>Manage Game Paths.
  4. Yeah you're right. After I posted that last comment I thought about it a little more. Both a NAS and a SMB share should work with connectx. Odds are is OP isn't configuring it correctly. My main point is, even if he/she did get it working, it's not compatible with every game and is known to cause lag and/or crash the game completely. I'm not even sure the plugin is still supported with FSD 3. I'm pretty sure it only works with FSD 2.2.
  5. I've never done or heard of it being used with a nas (I know what a nas is). I have had results with this method though (using the smb share). Only issue I ran into was the occasional lag and sometimes the game would just crash. I would recommend just using an internal hard-drive (It really is the fastest/easiest way).
  6. Yeah I mean 2tb should be more then enough for ya. If you want more get an external too.
  7. I think the plugin was called connectx. You need to make sure it's configured properly. I found this tutorial with a simple google search: http://team-xecuter.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-86026.html
  8. 2tb is the limit of the internal hdd on 64ksectors i dont think the xbox supports 128k sectors.
  9. You should only need the latest update. After it's in the directory it should be automatically enabled. The only reason I mentioned 7-zip, is because a .7z file is usually made with the 7-zip software.
  10. to extract it get 7-zip. Usually the newer TU's go into the 000000000000000game id000B0000 folder. I don't know what to tell you about the windows 8 error, try compatability mode?
  11. It's got to be some kind of hack or trainer running. Have you seen this yet? http://www.xbox360iso.com/trainer-bo2-tu15-t679250.html
  12. you need to install the season pass dlc first. Also make sure all dlc are unlocked via yaris-swap.
  13. I've seen my buddy play it through his laptop before. But it was an alienware, and like Swizzy and Dr. Stewey both said, he had an hdmi INPUT port. You cant find a tv with the standard composite connection?
  14. As far as I know the latest phat model (jasper) and the two revisions of the slim (trinity and corona), all have great success rates with the RROD. I've never heard of any slim getting the RROD, as far as I know, there's a fail-safe that turns the xbox off, before the RROD even occurs. You can always adjust the temperature at which the fan speed increases (you do this in dashlaunch). I'm a cheap bastard, so I would stick with the stock warranty. Only thing I would make sure of, is that they include with the purchase, a copy of your ORIGINAL NAND image, as well as your CPU Key. This is usefull for future updates and troubleshooting issues (if they arise in the future).
  15. What confuses me is it says JTAG v4, but then shows a picture of the TX CoolRunner chip (which is used for the RGH exploit). It appears to be already modded (with the RGH exploit). It also states it comes with FSD3, Dashlaunch and xexmenu installed. If all this is true and you get a Corona with a 250gb HDD and the Kinect sensor, I would say go for it. Just so you know though, you can get any 2.5" Sata (laptop) hard-drive and put it into a modded xbox. The xbox will recognize it, configure it, then all you have to do is install the freestyle dash. I only mention this, because they have the stock model (16mb) xbox for 229,00€. You could buy that, then price out a laptop hard-drive (may be more cost effective for ya).
  16. Sounds to me like you need to modify your launch.ini file. Should be on the root of your HDD. If the console won't boot at all with the hard-drive plugged in, I would recommend putting xexmenu and the dashlaunch installer on a usb thumb-drive. In dashlaunch, you should be able to change the directories.
  17. 1) The database refresh is usually done each time FSD starts up. It will scan any path on your hard-drive you have set up, then attempt to get the covers from the jqe site. I've never had a problem getting rid of the second disc. You need to hit "Y" on it then go to "move" then to "no section". That should remove it from the list, but still keep the data there. 2) Like I said before the covers should automatically download when FSD starts up. Make sure you give it enough time to get the covers though. On the bottom of the screen you should see a status bar. Make sure it's not downloading anything when you go to check your game list. 3) If you go to Content---> Game paths. You can add a new title path. All in all I would recommend updating to the newest version of FSD (rev 775). Be patient when FSD is downloading content (sometimes it takes a while). Also explore the settings menu, you can do allot of cool stuff in there.
  18. Are you planning on having this console modded? If so I would go with an older trinity slim version. Usually there is a siight price drop, but right now the slim is pretty affordable.
  19. You should be able to get the cover through the Freestyle Dash. I really don't see a need to get it directly from the jqe site.
  20. The debug light should be red for the most part, When it glitches though it should flash green (like every 5 seconds or so). If it doesn't flash green, for me, it's usually faulty soldering. If I were you I would attempt to open up the case and post pictures of your soldering. Make sure when you open it, that you're careful with the front faceplate. I've seen people rip that ribbon off the RF board before. Here's a video to help you with disassembling the case: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rkCQISmAM4 I would also post pictures of your motherboard over at the Team Xecuter's forums. If what you have is a genuine TX product, why not use their official forum, right? I gotta warn you though, they have a strict template you have to follow when making a new help thread in the "RGH/JTAG for noobs" section. If you don't follow the guidelines, they won't help ya. Here's a link to their forum's as well: http://team-xecuter.com/forums/forum.php I gotta say though If the guy/girl who modded this for ya, didn't give you a copy of your NAND when they were done. Then they probably didn't know what they were doing, and it's a strong possibility that their soldering is sub-par.
  21. Judging by the lack of information you provided, I'm gonna go out on a leap here and guess you had someone else rgh your console. In addition to Swizzy's questions, do you have an original backup of your NAND?
  22. Are you having an issue downloading covers through FSD3? Because I'm pretty sure (and I could be wrong) that Freestyle gets em from that site anyways.

    GTA V cash

I don't think it will. Trainers are basically just another piece of code running in the background, that lets you do some crazy shit. I used this one by retrobytes:http://www.360haven.com/forums/threads/27707-trainer-%5Bretrobyte%5D-gta-v-trainer/
  24. I would re-apply the thermal grease under the heat-sink (if you're comfortable enough doing that). Another easy and practical mod is doing what The Sanchez suggested, removing the dvd-drive and adding a fan on top of your case. I soldered the 12v connection directly underneath the motherboard, right where the psu plugs in. This way you don't draw from any other components. Here's a picture to show you what I mean: http://imgur.com/BFogUfE

    GTA V cash

If you're on an RGH/JTAG and don't go online then you could use a trainer. Playing the stock market is another great way to get some extra cash.
