Hello, I want to do this with a 2TB Western Digital or a Seagate, some one know if with the 17489 the 32g limit is removed? I want to use the disk to store Aurora, and apps to avoid use of connectx to stream apps.

Use wireshark between your xbox and your osx make a packet capture, but try to discard packet garbage by disconnecting from internet (with wifi) close all your apps, In FSD or Aurora change a setting of connectx (no the computer info) just a seconds before press save changes in FSD start the packet capture, when finish and debug says cant mount connectx stop packet capture and analyze the request and answers if you cant analyze the packets, save as pcap and send to me Im very interest in use connectx with linux or osx I hate windows for this job.

Amazing job, another thanks for you team, a suggestion that can work you can implement some like karma or reputation record where people in a room after playing can give a plus or minus points to each member of the room if some one gets negative reputation -10 for example gets banned from playing in nova for a determinant time, this is great to punish trolls and sleep control players ( who just join and don't play)

Hello, Its me again, Im very persistant guy, like some nice guys says you have to try harder I finally found the issue with connectx and windows (from vista to windows 10) theres and issue with smb connections, in some random scenarios (i think. Im allways on those ) smb not correctly connect, so after 6 hours of troubleshooting, trying different stuff, I go back to basics with the OSI stack (Im a networking guy), so I try to connect directly and through a switch the xbox and my laptop, but the same issue, the debug.txt only says that cant mount connectx, so I get bored after 2 hours of trying changing the path of the windows share, users, passwords, etc... So I put wireshark to sniff traffic and what I found is this: Request from connectx: 29 13.579930000 192.168.0.8 192.168.0.9 SMB 274 Session Setup AndX Request, User: \xbox; Tree Connect AndX, Path: \\H4X0RPC\GAMES Response from my laptop: 30 13.580978000 192.168.0.9 192.168.0.8 SMB 202 Session Setup AndX Response; Tree Connect AndX, Error: STATUS_INSUFF_SERVER_RESOURCES Did you see the issue? Yes this little windows bastard STATUS_INSUFF_SERVER_RESOURCES. After some google I found a fix: http://www.stratospherix.com/support/interactive_troubleshooter/vista-insuff-resources.php After applying that fix my connectx working great in fsd in minutes I will switch to aurora and try, I let this info here because can helps people to fix (in some way) problems with windows shares. BTW developers please move the authentication to kerberos so We can move to linux shares Update: Its works in Aurora (sorry Im happy)

Windows use ntlm v1 by default for authentication in smb shares, since maverick osx for default uses ntlm v2, I dont know if connectx uses ntlm v1 or 2 but this can be the issue.

Ok, just before do all the work to extract my HDD from the usb enclosure I make a test, I update the kernel and the dash to 17489 both, so I try to plug my usb hardrive to check if the Dash read it, its does but when I try to prepare to use for save games and xbox stuff the dash says that it have an error, so I think this is an issue with this model or something so Im gone to buy the 2tb usb 3.0 external because this get my bored, I let this info here to save up time for someone, the disk info is: Seagate Backup Plus Desktop Drive, Model SRD00F2, 3TB usb 3.0 Avoid to buy this if you want to use for your Xbox 360.

First task done, I use paragon (because is free) to re size from 3TB~ to 1.90TB this will allow to convert the GPT partition to MBR, the second task will end tomorrow because I have to convert from NTFS to Fat32 using EaseUs partition master pro (because its not lock the partition size limit for fat32 which is 32G per partition) but to convert from ntfs to fat32 in a partition of 1.90 TB I have to format the partition, this will be done tomorrow first I have to backup all my apps and xbox stuff on the original disk. Update: I use Teracopy which in theory is better than an OS (windows) to copy files from a disk to another, the copy progress says its gone to finish in two days lol, I have two Seagate disk usb 3.0 Update: I finish to backup all my apps in almost three days because my job, I finally backup all the stuff, and today I try this: 1) Convert the disk to MBR I do this with EaseUs, and make a partition of 1.91 TB, format fat32, the FSD and aurora were unable to detect, in both I unplug and plug the disk serveral times and just says that it will refresh the partitions but nothing is show. 2) Partion of 2.xx TB format fat32 with EaseUs is possible, but the same fsd and aurora unable to show partiton. 3) Partition 1.91 format fat32, logical partition, fail. 4) Partition 1.91 format fat32, primary partition, fail. 5) Partition 1.91 format fat32, primary partition, active, fail. 6) Partition 1.91 format fat32, logical partition, active, fail. For now I get bored I think theres a problem with Seagate disks, so Im gone to try to put the drive like an internal drive with external connections, the procedure: 1. Take the disk out of the enclosure. 2. Wire from xbox to disk. 3. Update Xbox to dash 17489.0 to remove the 32G limits. 4. Format with Dash the disk. 5. And with a lot of patience load all my apps through ftp or smb. If this doesn't work I'm gone to buy a Western Digital usb 3.0 2TB drive lol.

Hi, I have the same 3TB disk, can I resize my partition to 2TB without format to work with FSD? Right know I play with connectX with the hdd attached to a laptop, thanks in advance.

Hi Folks, I came back to the forum looking for an update of FSD, but I found that the dev team don't gone to continue with FSD, so I migrate to Aurora, pretty cool btw, in my dashlaunch I change my default to Aurora 0.5b, I configure the connectx to connect with a home laptop who has connected a 3TB usb 3.0 HDD where I have "apps", the weird thing is in Aurora connectx cant bind to the share, but when I boot to FSD no problem, I read in the Aurora launch thread that have a know issue in some network scenarios, my setup info: Laptop windows 10 updated with all the network sharing settings recommended. Seagate USB 3.0 3TB HDD. I try with a cat 5 patchcord connected directly between the laptop and the xbox and I try connected to a home router with 1gb ports, firewall off ( I have a policy for smb) in connectx settings I try to input the computer name (FDQN), the ip address, I change the share user password. If you guys need logs or test let me know, I can test wherever you want It will be a pleasure to help in any way in this amazing project, thanks!

A little late but its really sad to read that this great sceners have retire, I hope that a great team like this can continue with this cool project, I believe that consoles like the X360 and PSP have the most amazing homebrew and scene community, I love both consoles, but like the PSP Vita I sad because is dead, I hope the Xbox One don't do the same, the Vita starts at a price of $400 and drop to $200 very quick, now days the costs are the same but almost no body wants to buy one, everybody talks about play in portable devices and little PC's with Steam, and abandon the consoles scene this is really sad, there's no coolest thing that see a branded box like Xbox by hacked and modded. I just have to say thank you all of you console hackers because without you guys our consoles are just waste of money.

Thank you very much I have a trinity X and with this tutorial I don't feel afraid to screw my X everything goes well I decide to update my X because I have problems with fsd 3 rev 75 doesn't recognize my seagate usb 3.0 3tb drive where I have two partitions one with 2tb fat32 with a lot of games almost 300 for now the drive is connected to my laptop and share a linksys router with 100mbps ports with the X and using the conectX plugin I was able to stream games but the problem comes with heavy games like battle field 4 so the games keep frozen in some cinematic scenes and some times playing and not to mention that I have to keep my laptop on to play, even with the update made it I can't see the external drive, when I plug the drive the fsd says that a new drive is plug and will refresh the mounting drives but no detection any help be appreciated
