  1. Ok, so your 00009000 folder is in AAA... presumably. That's what I was trying to get at, just a different name than my example of 4CCCCCCC. You may be ok removing your AAA... folder but not the others in content/000...000. I still wouldn't remove it without going in to the avatar editor and removing any items your avatar has equipped or backing up your profile first (or both) because I'm not sure if it will cause problems. But yeah, like Swizzy said, don't remove any other folders from content/000...000, only your AAAAAAAA folder. I wasn't going to recommend removing anything until it was more clear where exactly your 00009000 folder was, lolz.
  2. Sorry to hear that, tell him I said to get better, then i'll bring my bottle of Crystal Head over and we can laugh at how it resembles Dan Ackroyd, lmfao.
  3. I wouldn't know anything about stacking chips, lmao. Matter of fact, (and aside from the fact yours already has 128MB I think) I would turn most people to Trusty for memory upgrades. But honestly, the Bios options out there are pretty limited, aside from the many revisions. I never used any of those other bios because my 3294 on my X3 chip is better than most out there, IMO. Hit me up one of these days, we should get together and BS about it. I've been retired since 2010, so I just sit around with my nose in the computer. Maybe get Sladez and we'll knock back some Micky's and play zombies, lolz. edit: I think retail is 64MB memory chips, the 128's are only on dev/debug or custom installs. You have to have a custom file somewhere to take advantage of the extra memory too, I believe XBMC has it built in, IDK.
  4. That was never my chip, I turned it down as I didn't need it or the console it was in. Haha, that was Bunnie Huang, the first guy to reverse engineer the Xbox (and bypass the security). I have his book/paper, he released it to all for free, so it's out there.
  5. Haha, I totally miffed that. Yeah xboxdash.xbe is what I meant. Hard to remember without being in the filesystem. That and I have created a shortcut to launch XBMC anyways, so that's for all intents and purposes my default dash.
  6. Maybe something got corrupted during transfer. If your FTP app is set to ascii instead of binary, this can happen. Another way to avoid this is to transfer it using a USB stick formatted to fat32. Make sure you open Dashlaunch and point Aurora as the default dash to boot to, then it will always start with Aurora.
  7. I don't know if the bios not booting issue is tied to the fact that maybe a special default.xbe was used for your console. Maybe it was somehow looking for the dash in a different location than you currently have (if any) or it needs a special dash file. I know I read that many of the dev/debug kits booted with a wireframe display as opposed to the normal looking dash, so missing this dash might be causing your error, IDK. Without the knowledge of seeing a devkit personally, it's all just guesswork for me. But maybe there is even a different partition scheme that it looks for???
  8. Do you actually have a 00009000 folder directly in the content/000...000 folder? If you used the Friday Patcher method, it should have prompted you to create a TitleID. That should be easy enough to confirm in Aurora File Manager by going to content/000...000 and looking at all your titleID's. The one you created should stand out by not having the game title in brackets, i.e. 4D5307D5 [GEARS OF WAR] for regular game, 4CCCCCCC for the folder you created yourself. You might have multiple folders without names listed alongside your titleID's, but if you just check them, you should find it quick enough because inside it will show 00009000 [Avatar Asset]. If you're on FSD still sorry, I don't think it lists the names alongside titleID's.
  9. Yeah, I don't think it was ever compiled and released. Last time we spoke about it gavin was willing to compile it for me, but I passed since it was only a minor inconvenience.
  10. I think he might be referring to something like this... http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/multibios-tsop.php Looks like they use two SPST's though. edit: Only reason I linked this one is because it sounded like a legit way to test all your bioses.
  11. Thanks for all the links. You make a compelling argument for the newer method. Last time I as5'd my OG Xbox I just used a pea sized dab and spread it with a plastic baggy over my finger, lmao. BTW, I miss llama, last time I bought from them was I believe '12 when I needed a replacement usb port on my Xbox. Guess I must've bought the last of their stock Lolz.
  12. Well I didn't see port triggering mentioned in the tutorial. I'm not sure if having triggering, forwarding and upnp enabled is causing any conflict, but it seems unnecessary. Just try with upnp alone and remove the others. Make sure to reboot the router after making changes.
  13. Here are the tutorial files and videos for making Aurora Trainers created by AxR. AxR hosted this on XYZmods site but they were lost in a recent site disruption. The files have been returned to AxR and so should eventually be updated on his original post at XYZ. I'm posting them here as a redundancy so that Aurora users will always have the ability to create trainers for their favorite dashboard. Hopefully this will help a few people, even if it's just to learn something new. Keep in mind you will also need additional tools/software that are listed in the readme.txt (and below) but cannot be distributed/linked to here. I have not actually made a trainer for Aurora, but I know of at least 3 members here that have. So if you have questions that are not being answered in this thread, please feel free to visit XYZmods where they are a little more active with trainers . The original thread can be found here... 14. I might be mistaken, but you have port triggering enabled. That might be what's closing the ports, if no data is being sent out. I would remove that. All your other settings look OK, you don't really need Port Forwarding though with UPNP enabled.
  15. Go to the game in Aurora and press Y. You'll find a bunch of selections on the left. When you come across DLC, press A. You can delete from there. I would recommend you back up your DLC before deleting it though, in case you want to reinstall it. You can either do that from the file manager or FTP.
  16. Yeah, idk why either. Maybe something just not working right in the settings.db. Could also be the freestyle plugin itself. Glad you got it though. edit: you could always check your settings.db (found at Aurora/Data/Databases/settings.db) with a sqlite browser and look for PluginScreenCapture = 0 or 1 (1 being enabled), and also PluginScreenCaptureActivator = 16 (for start) and PluginScreenCaptureTrigger = 32 (for back). If those are ok, then it might be just the FS plugin itself, you could just copy/paste the one from your new install over your old one then reboot (making sure to change DL back first). It's located at Aurora/Plugins/FreestylePlugin.xex. Might save some time redoing all your cover, TU's etc. I'm inclined to think the issue would be in the settings.db though, since you said it worked through the web interface
  17. Yes, me too. Just download Aurora again. Rename the root folder so it's different than your original and stick it right next to it in the root. Open DL and point the default launch at the new folder
  18. Yes, that's why I recommended a fresh install, to check if something is wrong with your current install. Should only take a few minutes to check it with a fresh install.
  19. It's the freestyle plugin, it's included in the Aurora package though. Should be good to go with a new install. Just point DL and reboot, then check the screenshot settings and try it.
  20. Ok, well that's a stumper then. Maybe try putting a fresh install of Aurora on. You can keep your original, but just to test, put another installation somewhere else, then point DL to it. That would tell you if Aurora is the issue.
  21. The way it's acting is like the plugin isn't loaded. That's why I asked if the freestyle plugin was loaded or FSD was launched first. You can check if plugin is loaded by simply pressing back at the main screen, loaded modules show on the left.
  22. Again, are you booting to FSD, then launching Aurora? This causes Aurora to use a different plugin that may not be configured at all for taking a screenshot. Edit: never mind. Did you do as Swizzy suggested and make sure it's enabled, not just setting the combo but ticking the enabled box. Also is the freestyle plugin loaded?
  23. Web interface or not, it's still using the freestyle plugin afaik. Works fine here, maybe something wrong with your Aurora install or controller. I wouldn't know about the web interface though, mine doesn't connect in Aurora. Edit: are you launching Aurora from FSD, if so it's using the wrong plugin.
