  1. Now you have a glimpse into why Micro$oft fights against hackers and bans so many players. They ruined Live games and probably cut into their profit margin. I think that's also part of why they will eventually shut down Live for 360 and start the new service for Xbox One (like they did with OG Xbox -> Xbox 360). Welcome to the real world, hackers gonna hack cheaters gonna cheat. Best way to avoid them is to play in password restricted rooms so you can better control it. They even have a whole section here for meeting other players, which i'm surprised is totally underutilized... Matchmaking. However, I have fond memories of playing COD Zombies with some friends till the buttcrack of dawn, seeing what level we could get to with trainers enabled... I think we reached level 40 or 50... Swarm!!! lolz. But even that was a private room, so as not to ruin it for others.
  2. BTW, I went back and revisited this. I guess when you made the gametitleinfo box bigger, you changed the x-scale. I tried fixing it by keeping x-scale at 0.50 and changing the box width from 1255 (or whatever it was) to 1700 and re-centering it. The results were much better. Same text size as your original, but now much longer texts fit in the box. Hope you don't mind. Shield GTX.xzp
  3. PM me the file, I'll take a look. Don't know what you did, but it sounds like you missed something.Edit: fixed, he was pointing to his image on his computer, not inside the working folder.
  4. Every frame, and at least the start and end of each transition. To create a new xzp, just make sure you name your folder whatever you want the file called, then open xzptool, select build and point it at your folder. You may also want to use the skinmetagenerator to modify some info, but not necessary. Not sure what edited files you are talking about. I just modify the files I extracted. Then go to File->Export Binary, and overwrite the originals
  5. My understanding is that the power of two he was talking about was more for combinations of flags. If they were sequential it would have only been single values. But that's really best directed at Swizzy, since like I said, I just poke around.
  6. You mean the flags like 4|1=5...? Start at the top of this page and check the first link Swizzy gave. Use those flag values to compare with what you see in your db and it will make more sense. Basically, like I said "retail + kinect 4 | 1 = 5" retail has a flag value of 4, kinect has a flag value of 1. When you combine them you get 5 and that is what is entered into the database. If you wanted to change that to drop the kinect, you would just subtract 1 and change the database to 4. Then after a reboot it would change that game to a retail game (green case) instead of a retail + kinect (purple case)... make sense? The example I had on mine where it was a 9 was just because my game was scanned in as a devkit game instead of retail... I could have probably changed it to 8 to drop the kinect off it, but I never tested that. Swizzy is the db guy here, I just go poking around in things, lolz. As always, back up your database before messing around with it.
  7. Might be too hard, never know till you try it. That's why I said 1 week might not be enough. Are you sure you extracted it, or are you just loading it from inside the xzp program. I never had any luck with the images showing unless I extracted it all to a working folder... even then, I had issues with the extraction button on top. extracting only worked for me if I did a "select all" and then right clicked and selected "extract to". Once I did that I had no issues with backgrounds, images, etc. But I'm no good with Windows, lmao. As far as the logo goes... you're probably not drilling down far enough. If you did, you would be able to actually click on the logo and the info on the right side of xuitool will populate and tell you the path of the image, e.g. Images\Aurora.Skin.Scenes.Settings.About.Aurora.Logo.png Just follow the arrows down to xuicanvas/splashscreen/logo... and it's actually a 900x235 image for logo, 1280x720 is the full screen size. Make sure to watch felida's videos, it can help with understanding some of the basic controls in xuitool. [Tutorial] Changing the Loading Screen [Tutorial] Skin Tutorial [Tutorial] WHY there are ALOT of frames in the skins
  8. Best way to learn skins is to jump in. You need the XDK (you're on your own finding that) to be able to edit/build them, but once you've acquired that you can get started. I would recommend editing a skin you like, as starting from scratch would not be easy at all. You will also need XZP Tool 2 to unpack the skin before editing it. There are some video tuts around RMS and you can always pull up the help files in xuitool, those are always... helpful. But once you jump in and start looking around the xur's you'll see the task ahead of you. Try starting by changing some images, then move on to changing/adding transitions. Good luck though, I'm guessing 1 week isn't enough time to finish a skin project, but if you take the time to look at a few skins and try to understand how they make things work, maybe you'll get hooked and want to continue.
  9. Make sure live strong is not enabled in Dashlaunch. It blocks Xbox.com where much of that stuff is scraped from. Cover is coming from Unity, title is from the game's xex.
  10. You're missing the point to all this, anyone can copy and paste. The reason the title update isn't showing up in Aurora is because Aurora doesn't know you installed it yet. That's why in my very first post I explained the two things you need to be sure to do when installing tu's manually. This is now the third time i've mentioned it, and felida was kind enough to walk you through it just incase you missed the importance of this step. It will work, Aurora was designed to work like this as a fallback/secondary method to install tu's. If doing a manual scan still doesn't work, then the issue is with the TU you are using, either it does not match all three TID/MID/BV or it is somehow a corrupt file. The only other thing I can really do to help is ask you to post all the info for the game and Title Update, including the path you used to install the TU, or post pictures of all that info.
  11. Then you missed a step somewhere along the way. Either the TU doesn't match the game or you didn't scan for title updates.
  12. As long as you have Dashlaunch installed, you can check your launch.ini to be sure liveblock = true If liveblock is enabled you can use your console online without worrying about being banned. But downloading tu's over wifi is not recommended as there is a lot of potential for file corruption, so if you can't get an ethernet cable you may need to stick to the manual method of tu installs. But even over wifi you can download your covers etc. and use Aurora to it's fullest potential. I would start reading up on Dashlaunch so you understand how it works to keep you safe and how it controls many of the behind the scene settings of RGH/JTAG's. All the info you need to know is here on this site, so read up and ask questions if you don't understand something. For how to verify the TU's TitleID, MediaID and Base version, they are listed for each game on the Unity website just click Updates to view. To compare that to your Game's TitleID, MediaID and Base version on your console, follow below
  13. Yes, you can. Not sure what you mean by "tried FSD but nothing... Using Aurora now..." Neither dash will download tu's without an internet connection obviously, since they can't connect to Unity website where the TU's are stored. If you want to do it manually you can stick TU's in their corresponding folders. hdd1:/content/0000000000000000/<TITLEID>/000B0000/<TitleUpdate> - for lower case tu* or hdd1:/cache/<TitleUpdate> - for uppercase TU_* Or you can use 360 Content Manager 3.0 which will automagically put it in the correct location. But doing it the manual way you need to be careful of a few things... First is that it's on you to verify the TU's TitleID, MediaID and base version is a match with the game's TitleID, MediaID and base version. Second is that you need to make sure you scan in your Title update using whatever dash you're on. Why are you not wanting to connect the Xbox to the internet though? Is it not available where you are or is there another reason?
  14. Probably not then. I'm spoiled with my Tritton Warheads so forgot that game audio doesn't work through controller.
  15. I think you answered your own question... If you want sound you either need an adapter that carries sound, in which case you should bypass the monitor completely (since you say it has no speakers), or use headphones from your controller. I'm curious though, neither VGA or DVI carry sound, so why would your monitor have a 3.5mm (headphone) jack? It probably does have a speaker and the 3.5mm jack is the input. Easy way to tell is if the monitor has volume buttons, lolz. If that's the case, you can probably modify the original Xbox 360 A/V cable to plug in over the HDMI cable at the same time, then just use an RCA to 3.5mm stereo adapter to plug audio into the monitor. Plenty of videos on youtube showing how to do that.
  16. Lolz, and you're lucky if you don't jump to your death so far in that you get to play the whole level again because the checkpoint system sux.
  17. Glad you got it going. I would join you for a game, but have a meeting early in the AM. PM me this weekend though if you still want to game, I might be up for it... If i'm not throwing my Xbox One controller through the window playing Styx
  18. 2 posts above yours you'll see Swizzy has answered your question.
  19. Anyway, sorry for off-topic... as you were
  20. Like I said, you're doing fine. Good on you for wanting to help. Don't put me on the same pedestal as Swizzy though, anything I've done was on his shoulders too. But I do it honestly and only on this site (I hope that's the impression I leave anyways). Yes, great site. It's been a pleasure to be a member here. One reason it's still around is because they keep away from copyright bandits and people who tempt M$ with actions that get sites shut down.
  21. You're doing fine... After all, you're about the only one that seems willing to help an ex stealth user who may, as far as anyone knows turn around and follow the same guide he used last time to put stealth back on his console after getting everything working again. Not saying he will, but that's probably why you're helping him here and not Swizzy
  22. I know, after all he wouldn't have built his image without the dump in the first place. But he asked the question "So, I should dump my NAND now. I'm really, really afraid to do this." I'm guessing he was just confused with the lingo...
  23. Sorry, I meant leave the patch enabled. I don't use XeBuild GUI so not familiar. If the patch is enabled it shouldn't matter, but it could cause an issue on a couple different drives. Since you don't know, start with the patch and try a game dvd. If the DVD won't play, rebuild with patch disabled and it should work again. All this info is here on this site, easily searchable. BTW, you can always dump your nand, after all it's only a read... It's the writing that you have to be sure about.
  24. Leave it checked, if DVD doesn't read games after you finish reflashing, rebuild without the patch.
  25. That's the spirit Work with what you have. Besides, I changed the meta info for the skin on purpose so you can put it right alongside the default skin and still tell them apart. This at least allows you to swap the skin in about 20 seconds if you need to silence it for hearing trailers.
