you need to give your xbox a static IP. Right now you have it on automatic so it will changet. Go to network settings on dash and set it to manual. First make note of the default gateway as you will need to set that as well set your ip to 192.168.1.7 there and it will not change again

I am just happy having the ability to play online with many of you Would it be nice to play games online that do not have link capabilities? Yes...but it is not like that is not possible...you just have to pay for it. If people really want to have those features then put your money where your mouth is. So you mean find another way to play games that allow for online play, but not link? The way around that is to have a non modified system and have xbox live. Does not seem like you have a complete idea yet...

Thank you for making this topic. I was wondering about this too. You will have to take out your external and connect it to your PC. You will have to boot with clonezilla by mounting it on a usb or something. I have tried with acronis and such, but like BL4K3Y said...it cannot pick up fatx partitions. Bline clone will be your way to go. I am also going to do this tonight.

I am not sure you can port forward with that (could be wrong) Also..if the connection is not decent...it might be pointless to play on link since your connection will drop constantly

you cannot have DMZ on and port forward at the same time. you need to set port forward for TCP and UDP to your xbox's ip Do not give your xbox an alternate mac address...that has nothing to do with it. What I have to do with some routers is port forward twice...example: 1000 - 1001 for TCP and 1000 - 1001 for UDP & set IP as your xbox's ip Some routers that works okay...but others you have to set it as follows 1000 - 1000 for TCP and 1000 - 1001 for UDP & set IP as your xbox's ip make another one 1001 - 1001 for TCP and 1001 - 1001 for UDP & set IP as your xbox's ip It all depends on your router. (Note that you can limit control for teamviewer and turn it off so they cannot connect again...he was just trying to offer help...) send a screen shot of your port forwarding settings so we can help further

it all depends on your connection speed i use wireless and my connection is fine

follow the instructions fully log into your router and port forward those two ports for both settings. You will be good after that. no way around it bro. Gotta port forward

i play .avi files all the time Do what als3 said and format it to fat 32. Then you will be able to play the video

I know there is a list of games being played on link, but is there one for the arcade games? I saw some posts about people playing some...So if anyone can post the game that they use on link maybe we can make it a bit more active I have a few and would be cool to play some people on them

I am on the west coast and am interested in setting something up get home usually after 5pm

I have Upnp enabled on my router and it still says that it is not - does not give me an issue when i connect to Link or anything. Are you playing your games off the external too? If you are then there is a workaround for the title updates

Here is what I do...I download the title update manually from here: http://www.xbuc.net/ Then download the horizon program...plug in your external drive...sorry this is assuming you are using an external...and then I inject the update into my external and voial! Just make sure you match up the region of your game to the update your are dowloading
