  1. Ah yes, good spot! The path is actually correct on my external, but for some reason I added 'Fallout3' when typing here (sorry). My fingers all too often get ahead of my brain and do their own thing! Thanks for confirming, saves me reshuffling all those games with DLC from external to internal.
  2. Hello It would be great if there was an option to press a button whilst browsing games to bring up and scroll through game screenshots. This would be great for when browsing with a friend looking for a game to play and just want to have a quick look to see if it's the sort of thing they'd fancy playing. Good for more unfamiliar games like XBLA games. At present it becomes a button mash, in to the game details, scrolling down, pressing left to bring up screenshots, scrolling screenshots, exiting screenshots, exiting game details and on to next game. Strange request? Perhaps, but makes sense when that friend is a girl causal gamer and she don't like games that have 'fancy' graphics. Good example. She loves Donkey Kong County (SNES), but doesn't like Donkey Kong Country Returns (Wii) because the graphics are too fancy. The mind boggles. ALSO would be great if again there was a shortcut button to see back of game cover at full screen, so my old failing eyes would have half a chance of reading the blurb. Thank you
  3. Hi kira125. Is it possible you could share your 'Script one' again please? Swizzy I understand this script originates from yours, so thank you. I'm currently using yours, but as it appears it shows ALL multiplayer games, it would be great to get another script to filter for just co-op campaign games as kira125 made here (now AOL).
  4. ooh sounds eggcitings! It's no biggy as I can just edit database via DB Browser for SQLite, but all those changes would be lost in case re-arranging games/deleting path/re-scan etc, so ideally Aurora would take and keep name from actual game header. DB Browser for SQLite is a great little app that I'm sure I learnt about from you when recommending it to someone else in another post (thank you). I've never worked with a SQLite file before, so was apprehensive, but easy peasy to make edits with this app. Can I ask why no 0.6a, or is this considered unluckly like Windows 9?
  5. Hello First and foremost I can confirm I have the correct file structure. Example... /Usb1/Content/0000000000000000/Fallout 3/425307D5/00000002/ While Metro dashboard picks up on the DLC (as confirmed via settings > storage > Games and Apps), Aurora does not. Just found this post that suggests that a future Aurora version will support scanning externals for DLC. Is this a definite please as I'm currently re-arrange my games so that I can see all DLC's in Aurora, but if future versions will scan externals for DLC, then I can just leave as is and wait for update. Thank you
  6. Any thoughts please? I know now Aurora is taking the name from the folder. I assume it's using a database to find the game name relating to the title ID and applies to the folder (in brackets within file manager) and to the actual game in cover flow. FSD on the other hand I'm sure simply used the name from xex/GOD file because as said I corrected the name before converting to GOD, and that exact name would always appear correct once scanned into FSD. If it's not currently possible for Aurora to use name from xex/GOD file, perhaps this could be a suggestions for future versions please. Thank you
  7. Hello I add all my games via ISO2GOD and in the process correct the games name and remove TM symbols and what not. I'm pretty sure in FSD it would then use the name exactly as I set in ISO2GOD, but this is not the case with Aurora. When scanning, I've watched very closely what happens. At first the game will correctly be displayed using the name as set by me in ISO2GOD, but then by the time the scan has finished, the name reverts back to it's original name before I changed it in ISO2GOD, which is often a mess. For example... 1. Original name: Army of TWOâ„¢: TFD 2. I correct name via ISO2GOD to: Army of Two: The 40th Day 3. Aurora original scans in as: Army of Two: The 40th Day 4. But then by end of scan reverts back to: Army of TWOâ„¢: TFD I understand I can manually chance this via the database, but it would save a lot of time if it's possible to set Aurora to use the xex name (or from GOD file after conversion) instead of the original name, which I assume it's somehow taking from the folder titleID. Is this possible please? Thank you
  8. Ah OK well that certainly solves the riddle, thank you. The fact that this particular 'Content' folder didn't include the game title ID as with other two discs games I've had threw me off a little. To sum up then, is it safe to say that all DLC goes in "content\0000000000000000\titleID\00000002" folder?
  9. Have you actually tried playing a game via LiNK? As far as I know if everything else is OK, you can ignore UPNP failing. If this is just something that bugs you, if your router has the option, just enable UPNP and then it will pass, but will make no difference if you can already connect/play LiNK.
  10. Hello I've installed Oblivion GOTY disc 1 as GOD, and now trying to install disc 2 content and while everything appears OK, the 'Downloads' option within the Oblivion start menu is greyed out. I'm assuming when the DLC from disc 2 is installed successfully, this is where I would choice to load Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine, but with this option greyed out I'm assuming I've gone wrong somewhere. As this is GOTY I'm guessing that I don't need to patch the DLC, but just to be sure I also trying patching via 360mpGUI but still the 'Downloads' option is greyed out. Usually DLC from disc 2/3 etc will include title id, so is simply a case of FTP'ing 'Content' folder whole from disc 2 to Hdd1, but Oblivion disc two appears different... content\0000000000000000\FFED2000\FFFFFFFF Therefore I simply created a DLC folder '00000002' within 425307D1 and placed files there, so now my Oblivion GOD folder looks like this... 00000002 00007000 Within the 00000002 folder I have these two files... 746A1727A1677C6F47B8B50538A2AE7B20AA5C0242 BFD659CAE17313AF57CA318C3DA26992E9727E2542 Is this correct please? If so how do I actually load the DLC content? Thank you
  11. I would highly recommend connecting with cable over wireless as less change of lag. To play LiNK you just need the newest title update. You don't need all or in fact any DLC, unless I guess you wish to play that particular DLC and the game supports it via system link. Great F.A.Q thread, thanks B3NZ.
  12. Yep running f3plugin. So this should work right Mattie? As said auto-swap works when disc 2 and disc 3 installed separately, but not when all installed as GOD, but it should right? I can confirm when testing all installed as GOD that I first removed separate installing of disc 2 and 3 so no conflicts there.
  13. Thanks guys, but is it still possible for me to identify exactly what I have please? If I ever sell my 360, it will be good to know exactly what I have.
  14. Thanks Swizzy. Yeah I noticed that many games do not like 'fakelive' enabled, so will try disabling other options there if I do run in to problems.
  15. Hello I read in the sell section Swizzy mentioned the 512MB JTAG Jasper being quite rare. I've had mine for so long now that I can't recall if it's 256MB or 512MB (I know it's not 16MB), so how do I go about checking please? This post mentions checking NANDPRO Flashconfig, but having not done the JTAG myself I am not familiar with this, so wary of using it. In the same post Swizzy mentions to simply check memory unit size, but mine is unformatted so no size is given. I'm sure this has to remain unformatted as it could mess up the JTAG if formatted (correct?). As such how can I easily identify my Jasper model please? Lastly other than the obvious size increase, what are the actual noticeable benefits (if any) of 512MB vs 256MB please? Thank you
  16. I personally prefer no flipping sounds, so hope it stays that way, or if is introduced, option along with it to turn sound off or on.
  17. Hi JValeNtine. Yes I can confirm they are all in the correct GOD location, so for this game... Hdd1/Content/0000000000000000/4D5307DF/00007000/ Inside there are the three GOD containers... 9C8EC7A6307E3D0450EC.data CCD2A22AF4793DC86D4C.data EFD48D3684798FE8DBBF.data 9C8EC7A6307E3D0450EC CCD2A22AF4793DC86D4C EFD48D3684798FE8DBBF Aurora can clearly see that each disc exists as can load each separately, but it's just unable to auto switch them.
  18. I've heard that Livestrong works even better with a tin hat on your head! Oh boy b3nz, you ask a lot of questions, which I like because it saves me from asking them! According to this wiki, Corona appeared August 2011.
  19. Hello First and foremost to avoid any confusion, I fully understand that not all multi discs games are the same, ie some have 'Content' that needs installing, where as other have 'story continues' across multi discs. This questions relates to 'story continues' multi disc games. Take the game 'Blue Dragon' for example. While Aurora will auto switch if disc 1 is installed as GOD and disc 2/3 install separately (hdd1\Games\Blue Dragon\Disc 1), if I install all discs as GOD, Aurora will not auto switch discs when prompted. I don't believe the issue is with all three discs being GOD as they are all separate files, and they all scanned into Aurora separately with each disc identified correctly, ie subtitle states 'Disc 1', 'Disc 2' & 'Disc 3'. All three discs load successfully, but when testing auto switch by loading disc 2 first, auto switch does not occur when screen prompt 'Insert disc 1' appears. Question is then is this an anomaly? Does Aurora support multi-disc GOD format auto switch, or will I need to install multi-discs to hdd1\Games? No biggy if that's the case, but will be a difficult conversation with OCD. If Aurora cannot multi-switch this way, I've recently read that Dashlauch also has a auto switch, but the two should not be run at the same time. How then can I turn Aurora auto switch off? If nether is able to auto switch, do multi disc games still require disc 1 when progress of the game has moved to disc 2 already? OR can I simply load disc 2 and continue from there? Thank you
  20. Sorry for my ignorance, but does this mean my original thought is correct, that if ISO passes ABGX360, it's good to go? In other words it checked everything, so game should run just fine/no crashes. Just to repeat I understand ABGX360 is primarily used for checking stealth for playing online, but as I don't play online, I used it to confirm ISO was good rip, but perhaps this is waste of time? I know the game will sure enough let me know by way of crashing if there is an issue, but nice to know before reaching end of level boss before that happens. felida, sorry for late reply as been beavering away loading up new drives with games, but as soon as that's completed it will be an honor to shoot you in the face with a rocket launcher! I'm generous with my giving so there is a rocket for everyone else too that wants some!
  21. Thanks for the vid scorpNZ, but as said I have the new 2015 version (vid is for old). Pretty much same procedure though, but the new style drive is much harder to open and had to use a stanley knife in the end. Good news is that once installed internally, worked perfectly formatting to max capacity (besides 32GB as Swizzy correctly mentioned). With regards to transferring content from old drive to new, I found this guide (by charincol) very usual... 1. Swap the replacement drive into the 360 caddy, connect it, and format it within System Setting>Storage. 2. Connect your old drive to your PC and use Party Buffalo (Google) to copy everything from the Data folder to your PC. 3. Connect your replacement drive and copy everything back to it's Data folder. 4. Connect the replacement drive to your 360 and run the official MS update that matches the version of your dash. This puts the proper system files on the hard drive. Make sure you don't run an update version higher than your dash. I will add if you want old Xbox backwards compatibility again, run hdd_compat_partition_fixer_v1.
  22. Brain fart. Maybe I just don't need to know the hows and whys for every little thing
  23. Thanks scorpNZ, I've noticed that too with regards to extracts being same size as GOD full padding. I still prefer GOD though as I read somewhere else in this forum that as there are less files with GOD, less files for 360 to index, therefore avoiding slow down. I'm currently using five instances of Imgburn at same time to rip and working very well.
  24. Ok thanks. Good to know then that Imgburn will warn if error, plus like the fact that I can run two instances to enable rip two games at a time. I never knew about Forza 4 legit games getting banned! That's crazy! I've never really play much online, so that side of gaming passes me by, although I recently setup LiNK and enjoyed a bit of COD Black Ops II last night, so might see you on there at some point if you play? I was dead most of the time as haven't played COD since the first Modern Warfare, but still enjoyed it. I'm off to get some shut eye now. Thanks for all your help tonight, it's been very much appreciated.
  25. Haha, I know I know an elaborate way indeed, and no good reason other than I thought I could rip directly to ConnectX folder, which then lead to this bazaar way of attempted rip. Doing things the easy way would be far to easy! Ah OK I thought a rip had to be perfect in everyone for it to pass ABGX, and even though I never go online, I used this (incorrectly it would seem) to verify a rip was ok. So other than game not working properly, which might not be the case until last level, how do you actually tell a bad rip then? Would imgburn or XBC not stop or warn if it failed to read part of the disc?
