ok not sure about this but once your in the dashlaunch miscellaneous setting i see up top its v.3.08 but at at the bottom is says running v.3.10. Try and run the default.xex installer from dashlaunch v3.10 not v.3.08 and see if it works. Edit: ok i wanted to know myself if this was the problem or not so i tried on my xbox. well its not the problem. So i rewatched your video and your on kernel 16547. xebuild nor dashlaunch has been updated for that yet. The only time ive read about people being on 16547 with a modded dashlaunch v3.08 is to get on live with that over priced BS server. My guess is that whoever modded the dashlaunch messed something up. Only way i can think of to fix it is to flash 16537 built with a trusted app and install the offical v.3.10 dashlaunch. Edit2: jtag's/rgh's dont need to be on live. stay off of it. Hope you get banned.

I dont think GTA V has system link so LiNK is a no go

I have a WD My Book USB HDD and it flashes when the xbox is off. The USB HDD isnt on its just in stand-by mode(the HDD is off, its not spinning). If you think thats all yours is doing it shouldnt shorten the life of it. If you think your HDD is still spinning then you might want to look at something like what Swizzy linked you to.

Do you pass the tests in F3 for link? Do other games work with link?

as far as i know the newest F3 is Rev775 so it cant update if their is no update.

you need a newer dashlaunch think atleast v3.03 for dash 16197 the latest is v3.10. if your dash launch is old on that installer disc im sure your FSD3 is also might want to get the latest of that too v.775. Place both on your ext. HDD and run the dashlanch installer from xexmenu. In dashlaunch settings set your default dash to where you have your FSD3 default.xex and save. google "Simple 360 NAND Flasher" its a .xex you can run from your xbox to backup and flash your nand to boot to xell you should just need to turn on your xbox by pressing the eject button.

if you have an old version of dashlaunch 16537 wouldnt be supported. do you have the newest dashlaunch v3.10?

1st thing i would do is make sure you can launch xexmenu form the MS dash. It will make thiing easier later on. if you dont have it google it and get the Live version and transefer it to your hdd Content/0000000.....ect/the CODE9999 folder/00080000/C0DE99990F586558 or whatever that file is named. launch it with FSD make sure it works. Then see if you can also launch it from the MS Dash. 2nd make a backup of your curent nand. Well after reading your post. Did you RGH your 360 or have it done? You say your on kernel 16197. That only came out a year ago (well back in Oct 2012). Not 2 years ago. - Dash Version: 3.0 Rev 58. Thats your FSD version. Your kernel and dash are the same so your dash is 16197. All FSD is as far as your 360 is concerned is a game. So your FSD version is 3.0 rev58 not your dash. You mention FSB a few times. I'll take that as typo's (i hope)? Well you should update your dash to the newest 16537. You will need the newest xebuild, xebuildgui, J-Runner, AutoGG, or any app that will make a new hacked dash. YOU WILL NEED A BACKUP OF YOUR NAND. ORIGINAL OR CURRENT. ALSO YOUR CPU KEY. For FSD you should always do a new install for newer versions. With a new dash/kernel you need to install the latest Dashlaunch for it to work. None of this will need a reformat of your HDD. For GTA V its a 2 disc game. One of them has to be installed on an internal hdd or a USB xbox360 formatted divice to work. Sorry for being hard on you, but to me it looks like you had your RGH done for you. You might want to check out the tutorials at xbox360iso. They seem to have more info on stuff like this.

it the overscan setting of your T.V. not FSD. i had the same issue. i tried FSD's overscan and nothing. i tried changing settings in the M$ dash, and nothing. for me i had to go into my T.V. settings > video > advance options, then turn off overscan. hope this helps.

just edit the USB0 or HDD path to match where you have your roms
