Where do i begin?

First, i'm sorry for my bad english as it isn't my native language. Also for posting this in this section, because i don't know where to put it, if i'm wrong, i hope admin or moderator can move this thread to section where it belongs...

So, i just bought a new Xbox 360 (not sure if its slim or not, i'll upload the picture later) with Kinect, i realize that my xbox is modified one. Still new to xbox term of modified like RGH, JTAG, Freestyle, and else. I did a research through the web of course, and finally i know that my modified Xbox 360 is RGH and has Freestyle in it.

 

Then, i try play with my Kinect, but the Xbox 360 ask me for update, when i try to update, at the middle it stopped and says something like error code with some digit, which is refer to some error i can look in the official website. Didn't found one, but i see similiar digit, which say my Xbox has been banned because modified or else. Is that mean i can't access to Xbox Live too? Because i can't even connect to Internet with my WiFi. Try to tethering with Internet on my Phones still can't connect.

 

Last night, i kinda understand a little bit more, that i have to update my dashboard version to the latest to play some game. i did it and it was success, updated to dashboard 16537 (is there newer version?). But the Freestyle i have is still FSD2, and need to update to F3 or something so i can download cover, change home style and else. But i need to migrate from FSD2 to F3 like in this thread. Might try it next saturday.

So my point question for the moment is

1. Is there a way to connect to Xbox Live with modified Xbox 360?

I did read there is something like fakelive, blocklive in software called Dashlaunch, but didn't understand any of it.

 

2. Maybe just need a little help, about updating FSD2 to F3

U can't connect with live because your console was hacked

So please don't ask how to connect with live because it's illegal this forum should not support that

2,don't try to connect with live (important thing)because

Your console getting banned

3,read your nand(your hacked file) via simple 360 nandflasher if u did anything wrong in your console this backup nand was help u,(if u update your kernel version 16537 to 16747)

New games are not support in your current kernel version so u need to update your kernel version

Try to download aurora instead of f3

Aurora is fastest custom dash

1. There is, but we don't support Xbox Live with a RGH/JTAG console for good reason, you gain a unfair advantage (whether you use it or not doesn't matter) meaning; you can modify your game to let you see through walls, shoot through walls and whatnot... just forget about this whole thing, or we will stop helping you, and you'll be all on your own... you'll also be banned from the site if you push it to much...

2. That thread should be good i guess, it's really not hard... all you have to do is download F3 (or aurora even) then putting it in a folder on your console... then run it and configure it... (tell it where to find games and such) if you want it to autostart with your console all you have to do is change the dashlaunch settings to start this instead of whatever is there right now, easiest done using the installer

Oh, and the latest supported version right now is 16747

Sorry for asking that, i won't asking that again, but, can i go play online with without live? i notice there are Xlink Kai in my Xbox, i used that before with my PSP to play online, is that the same?

 

then, if i'm gonna change to Aurora, do i need to do something like uninstall, or just remove FSD from my HDD and install Aurora?

Ya u can play online game via system link

Link game was supported only systemlink games such like cod,ghost recon ,red dead redamption ,,

2)No need to uninstall your fsd jus download aurora file and transfer to your HDD andthen start your dashlaunch andthen set default path to aurora.xex and

So i just tried to Install F3, but everytime i want to install it, and check the update to latest box, the screen turn to black and back to start (the Xbox 360 in the beginning of starting console). Tried 2nd time and same happen.

 

And then i downloaded the F3 v775, now when i press the .xex file, the screen go black as always, but still black, nothing happen, so i restart the console, and then try the other .xex file, now same thing happen. Only Dashlaunch .xex file work, but take time than usual...

 

Is this common issue or something?

Open your dashlaunch set default path for f3 default.xex then press rb select your hdd press x button for save this setting

Nothing happened after booting with USB already inject, already renamed the $systemupdate to $$ystemupdate

My kernel version is 16747, but i don't know what system update version is, this might be the problem?

Oh and i notice the link is missing after update to F3, might try find it later. Anyway, what is the most common Game played on link?

noupdater in dashlaunch???

2)ReDownload avatar &kinect for 16747

3)make sure your ping patch is enabled,your plugin was loaded

And check the verification on link

for a quick fix, make a folder called $ystemupdate and also a folder called $$ystemupdate. copy the files into them and then try to launch a game etc. or try plugging the USB key into the machine when your on the "stock" metro dashboard.

yes i already enabled the noupdater and pingpatch and nothing is happening...

 

i try to plug when the xbox metro, the official xbox dash right? Only some notification appears about refreshing the mounted device, and it's no asking for update...

 

my dashboard version is already 16747, is avatar and kinect update from the xbox website is the same version as my dashboard? assuming it's the latest dashboard, so i guess the update is in the same version too?

no, the official one is SystemUpdate_16756_USB.zip, you want 16747....as per Swizzy's post earlier on in this thread, and my message "use the correct dashboard for your version"

if you just get "Open tray" it's ussually a hardware error...

I also noticed there is some weird sound after the update...

Well is there anyway to fix this alone? Or should i let the shop fixing it?

Also, can i install a downloaded game via USB? If can, it is just copy to games folder in HDD?

Not sure what sound it is... so i can't really help you there...

Did you dump your nand before updating? if so you can try to write back the previous one, if it still don't work to use the dvd, then it's a hardware problem and you need the shop to help you...
