GOD multidisc swap on FSD??

Recommended Posts

Hi,

so I bought from Amazon a 2,5" 500 gb hdd, formated it within NXE, converted some iso's to god, transfered them to the hdd and it all works great!

I was wondering if i can play multidisc GOD files in FSD 3? if so what do I need to do?

Yes, and enable disc swap in your launch.ini or in dashlaunch (do not, i repeat, DO NOT use both)

You just load the game (disc 1) and when it ask for disc 2, wait, it wont, it will just load it automatically.

I played Final Fantasy 13 (3 disc) not once was I asked for the disc

Thank you! I have another question. So i ripped Castlevania Lords Of Shadow to GOD format and now i have two folders with the same name (4B4E809) which are the two dvd's of them game. So how do i place them in the 000000... folder? do i place the files from the disc 2 in the disc 1 folder or?

thats fine, the GoD format will have will different names, if they are GoD format, just put them into 1 folder. It will be fine.

If your using the Launch.info for your swap (plugin1 = Hdd:swap.xex) you may need to add this to the multi.ini file on the hdd1 folder.

I don't know what it is for your game, but for my game (FF) it was this.

; FF13

[535107E4]

disk1 = hdd1Content0000000000000000535107E4000070001D280FE094D6E1197B5C

disk2 = hdd1Content0000000000000000535107E400007000AB3FFE225604A8E787AA

disk3 = hdd1Content0000000000000000535107E400007000F274389AE30CB3383DB5

Some people will say this doesn't matter but I do it out of force of habbit.

That way the system will know where to find Disc 1 2 and 3

If your not using the swap in the launch file, try disc swap in the dashlaunch, I never tried.

do i really need to specify these paths or will it work just fine without it? simply enabling the disc swap option in launch.ini?

nope, I am fairly new to FSD so you could say that I'm a rookie :lol: I have always launched my GOD games trough NXE and had no problems. I have instaled the newest version of FSD 3 with the latest Dashlaunch so it could boot straight into FSD. If you could give me some hints for the multidisc issue i would greatly appreciate it.

So i have finished playing the first disk of dead space 3 and now the problem is with disk 2.I own a jtag xbox 360 and i came to know about the multidisk feature that can be used to play the second disk using FSD but i hadn't worked for me yet.So what i have done so far is:

Made folders in my usb like this:

Games/Dead space 3/Disc 1 Disc 2 or

Games/Dead space 3/Disc 1 Dead space 3/Disc 2

i'm running FSD through USB.Should i install it in my HDD?

I'm using imagebrowser for both of these iso's that is DEFAULT.XEX

i'm even playing the first disk through usb and when INSERT DISC 2 message pops up nothing happens.

A HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED A LOT...!!!

JPizzle-I merged the files and it worked.No need to make disc 2 folder

This "Merge" only works for some games, not all.

Disc 2 for most games is usually a add-on similar to DLC (goes into the 000002 folder), some games like Halo 4 you can get away with as the 2nd disc only installs content. Games like FF13 you can't merge.. I tried, didnt work :(
