XBox can't write any data to USB HDD

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone.

I tried to search an answer in this forum, but found none.

What I have:

Dash Version: 3.0 Rev 58

Skin Version: 3.0 Rev 63

Plugin Version: 3.0 Rev 54

Kernel Version: 2.0.16202.0

XBox 360 Slim 4Gb + external 2TB USB HDD (UDF filesystem)

I found that my box can't write anything to USB HDD. So, I can't copy the games through network using FSD FTP and Samba servers.

Any copy/move/delete operation using FSD FileManager fails too.

Can anyone help me? Maybe I should not use UDF, but what filesystem should I use then (for 2 TB)?

Thanks for your answers.

Fat32, if you continue to get data transfer failed it could be a corrupt file. Try using something else to copy the files.

Format the 2tb via the xbox, I dont think windows will allow a fat32 format that size.

The biggest files Ive seen are 2gb and thats arcade games, some retail games like Final Fantasy would use 1-1.5gb files

other than that, nobody is 4gig :)
