vicicarus 19 Posted October 29, 2015 Thank you in advance for any and all help provided, I am asking as I was trying to flash a nand back to retail but got this message from jrunner. Read that you can't flash back to stock if KV has been flashed. I don't recall doing it, but don't know if FSD3/Aurora does it automaticlly. I got this error, must mean the KV was flashed?Wednesday, October 28, 2015 11:00:58 PMJ-Runner v0.3 Beta (8) StartedChecking Console..Version: 10Flash Config: 0x0002301000023010Trinity, Jasper 16MBCB Version: 9188TrinityVersion: 10Flash Config: 0x0002301000023010Trinity, Jasper 16MBCB Version: 9188TrinityReading Nand to E:\Downloads\J-Runner v3 (5) Core Pack\output\nanddump1.binReading NandDone!in 3:21 minecReading Nand to E:\Downloads\J-Runner v3 (5) Core Pack\output\nanddump2.binInitializing nanddump1.bin..TrinityGlitch2 SelectedNand Initialization FinishedReading NandDone!in 3:21 minecComparing...Nands are the sameRetail SelectedLoad Files Initiliazation Finished17489Started Creation of the 17489 xebuild imageKV Info saved to file---------------------------------------------------------------xeBuild v1.16.728---------------------------------------------------------------base path changed to E:\Downloads\J-Runner v3 (5) Core Pack\xeBuild---- { Image Build Mode } ----building retail imagedone! fsroot found ok!******* ERROR: hacked or unknown SMC binary found? you should use a clean SMC binary for a retail image!***** FATAL BUILD ERROR: -4 unable to complete NAND image---------------------------------------------------------------xeBuild Finished. Swizzy 2085 Posted October 29, 2015 Read the error message one more time, does it mention KV? no... it mentions SMC... JRunner clearly don't copy a clean SMC for hacked images... use xeBuild GUI instead... But no, Neither FSD nor Aurora make ANY changes to your keyvault (KV) whenever you flash your NAND you also flash the KV as it's stored in your nand... basically, you can only flash back to retail of the same CB version that your console had when it was first hacked and you must have a clean (untouched) keyvault that is from that particular console... vicicarus 19 Posted October 29, 2015 Thank you for the reply swizzy, I looked up on how to retail my system and thats when I saw that the KV would be an issue if flashed and maybe the (******* ERROR: hacked or unknown SMC binary found? you should use a clean SMC binary for a retail image!) error was an indicator that it was. I don't have my original files when before my system was serviced.
