Does FSD3/Aurora Flash KV?

Recommended Posts

Thank you in advance for any and all help provided,

I am asking as I was trying to flash a nand back to retail but got this message from jrunner. Read that you can't flash back to stock if KV has been flashed. I don't recall doing it, but don't know if FSD3/Aurora does it automaticlly.

I got this error, must mean the KV was flashed?

Read the error message one more time, does it mention KV? no... it mentions SMC...

JRunner clearly don't copy a clean SMC for hacked images... use xeBuild GUI instead...

But no, Neither FSD nor Aurora make ANY changes to your keyvault (KV) whenever you flash your NAND you also flash the KV as it's stored in your nand... basically, you can only flash back to retail of the same CB version that your console had when it was first hacked and you must have a clean (untouched) keyvault that is from that particular console...

Thank you for the reply swizzy,

I looked up on how to retail my system and thats when I saw that the KV would be an issue if flashed and maybe the (******* ERROR: hacked or unknown SMC binary found? you should use a clean SMC binary for a retail image!) error was an indicator that it was. I don't have my original files when before my system was serviced.
