Customs Games (Media ID & NXEArt)

Recommended Posts

Hello,

creator of customs games, I wanted to know how to change Media ID of a XEX and modify the NXEArt file to add the cover of the game?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Best regards

You don't want to modify the MediaID as it'll cause TU's to not be a match anymore...

I'm not sure about the structure of NXEART files, so i can't really help you much with that :/ honestly tho, i don't think you can add covers to them...

There is a tool in the SDK for changing / creating an nxeart file. In the documentation it explains how to do that.

As for adding covers, In F3 we had custom sections for covers we read from nxeart, I'm not sure if we ever implented that in Aurora as well.

So how do you create multiple games based on the same model (Sing It HSM3) ?

There is no update for this game so the problem does not arise . I want that people can have directly the cover and the name of the game in Aurora and FreeStyle , as is possible to do on the Wii (see StarSing Wii ) .

Thank you in advance for your return.

what do you mean exactly? you can edit the game name and cover etc. within the dash... the cover is downloaded from xboxunity.net, the name is downloaded from xbox.com (if available, at first it takes the name from the GOD Header, the XEX or the folder depending on what it can find)
