need help starting from scratch

Hi all

I just got my rgh xbox slim back wih fsd installed and i believe dashlunch because it boots directly into fsd.

But the folders and placement of files ect doesnt look like the jtag tutorials.

I would like to know can i delete all the files and folders an start from scratch example the game hdd1 and onboardmu

Basically what i want is a fresh rgh that onlythe hardware part has been done.

if you start xexmenu from a USB/CD/DVD you can use it to erase everything yes, but i don't really see why?

Its just so that i know why that file or folder is there,and to get the basics of using a rgh.

Like there is a game folder in root and hdd1 folder with the fsd,but the fsd and game folder has the same stuff in

Yeah, the Game:\ folder is a virtual path to the directory your FSD is running from... don't touch it

Game:<what is this folder for

Hdd1:

Onboardmu:<what is this folder for

Ok so lunched xex from a flash the i get the following:

Hdd1:

Flash:<what is this for

Is it safe to delete the files and folders in those

These are the general paths you might find:

HDD1:\ <--- This is your internal harddrive, you store profiles, XBLA and DLC etc. on this...

HDDX:\ <--- This is the Xbox Compatibility partition of your internal harddrive

Flash:\ <--- This is the NAND filesystem (DO NOT TOUCH IT UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!)

Game:\ <--- This is a virtual path to whatever game you're currently running, leave it be, it's better to use the other paths...

USB#:\ <--- This is your USB drive(s) # == a number

USBMU#:\ <--- This is your USB drive(s) configured by the dashboard... # == a number...

USBMU#Cache:\ <--- this is the cache part of USBMU#... it's used only for TitleUpdates, no need to worry about this one...

OnBoardMU:\ <--- This is the built-in memory unit of a trinity, same as USBMU except it's built into the motherboard...

SFCMU:\ <--- Same as above, except for Jasper's

MMCMU:\ <--- Same as above, except for MMC Corona's

MU#:\ <--- This one is only available on Phat Xbox 360's and it's the small Memory Unit you can attatch to the front ports...

Some of these might have different names depending on the homebrew you're using, but they generally have a similar name...

why not just create a new FSD folder and point the default dashluach to it...or am i missing something?

That's what I did on mine pendrive to boot both FSD and Aurora, by editing lauch.ini with FSD path then opened Aurora from homebrew later, after setup in content paths.
