You don't ever accept an official system update when you are using a JTAG/RGH console. You need to apply the correct update to match your console's current kernel version. For example, if your JTAG/RGH console is on 16747, you can apply the 16747 update to install Avatar/Kinect data. It is also worth mentioning that XeBuild's Update Mode will send the data to your console's internal hard drive (HDD1) if the correct $SystemUpdate folder is present.

You can delete the settings using xexmenu... i don't remember in my head which folder it is, but you should be able to figure it out easily (it's a quite obvious one) just erase that whole folder and it resets F3 to it's default settings (this also removes all saved data for each game you might have in your db)

This has nothing to do with the DLC language... It's more likely a TU version mismatch or a connectivity problem...

When they replace the motherboard your console might already be banned (the new motherboard may already be banned) You should seperate your profiles between hacked and retail so that you avoid any traces of the hacked software, for instance, F3 don't work/exist for Retail consoles... if they see that in your profile you are likely to get a ban... It's logical that they write the original nand to the motherboard's nand by default yes... unless of course you asked for something else... The DVD Drive should probably be kept with OFW to avoid ban as much as possible, because... even if it's safe now (haven't heard of anyone beeing banned for ages due to having a flashed dvd) at any moment microsoft might start mass banning flashed consoles... The best solution for Online + Hacked is 2 consoles, that way you are as safe as you can be...
