Shikamaru21 1 Posted December 30, 2015 Need help guys. All of my burnt games won't work. Once I inserted the disc it only shows Play DVD not the usual game photo and it doesn't play at all just the Xbox logo. Original games work well. Is there any update I should install in my Xbox? Thanks in advance.
scorpNZ 207 Posted December 30, 2015 Your post is vague to say the least,so start at the begining -Were burnt games ever working before -What dash were you on & did you update & loose the ability play copied afterwards -who made the iso's -what firmware you running on the dvd drive -what games are being burnt 7gb or 8 -if 7 or 8gb what discs you using & made where -what burn program -what burner & method to burn said 8gb -what speed is burn I think that about covers it
Shikamaru21 1 Posted December 30, 2015 Well it was working before using an old xbox with FSD. Now I'm using a different console with Aurora dash. Every single game won't work with this unit. -what firmware you running on the dvd drive: no idea about this man. - My friend gave me all those copied games. Don't know how or what program he uses. - its 8gb

Neither FSD nor Aurora enables you to play burnt games with a stock DVD firmware
FaTaLiiTYz 56 Posted December 30, 2015 I had a similar problem back in the early days, one day everything played and then your problem happened. I was using LT3.0 so i just reflashed it and they all worked again. Could never figure out what caused the issue.
andoryuu3 59 Posted December 30, 2015 Just tossing in my two cents. You can try my "trick" and see if it works, but a reflash is probably your best bet. The only time I experienced this was intermittently when using LTU2 firmware. Often, if I powered up the console and immediately inserted my burnt backup, I would get the "Play DVD" error. My best results were from powering on the console with an empty disc tray, waiting for the system to load the dashboard, then inserting my disc. Usually, but not always, I could also power on the console with a disc in tray and it would work fine. But since you have no idea what firmware you have, you probably don't have a LTU2 drive. As DarkXorCist recommends, reflash your drive with LT3.0. It will likely fix the issue, and may even be an upgrade to what you currently have.
