tinpanalley 0 Posted June 13, 2014 RGH, FSD3, off internal HDD, not the latest dashboard. Is anyone else having a crash in the very first mission in Murdered? Basically right after encountering the first demon, I try to keep moving up the stairs and it looks like it wants to go to a cut scene and it crashes back to the dashboard. Swizzy 2085 Posted June 14, 2014 3 things you should do to eliminate errors: 1. Update your dashboard/kernel and make sure the Avatar support is installed 2. Try ruinning it without the F3 plugin loaded 3. Make sure there's no dashlaunch plugins loaded (some of them can cause problems with some games)

I will update the dash/kernel, I'm two versions behind. 2. I don't know what an F3 plugin is. So I doubt that I have it loaded or even installed. 3. I don't know what dashlaunch plugins are so again, I doubt there are any there.

Post your launch.ini here and we'll see I just checked my launch.ini file and there are no plugins in it... ; example plugin entry ; plugin1 = Usb:\plugin\aplugin.xex [Plugins] plugin1 = plugin2 = plugin3 = plugin4 = plugin5 =

tinpanalley 0 Posted June 16, 2014 That's atleast one thing ticked of the box of possible reasons I'm hoping updating the dash and adding the avatar fix will prevent further crashes. But what exactly is the difference between "FSD" and "F3"?

F3 is the updated version of FSD, basically, it's what was named "RXE" before... (iirc) there's some HUGE improvements to the look and feel of it, there's also the Kinect support and there's LiNK You can think of F3 as FSD v3

Swizzy 2085 Posted June 18, 2014 Hmmm. Maybe I should try it. Anything broken in it? Some issues has been while it was loaded in the past, i don't remember what was the root cause of it, but it's worth a shot
