Crazygoldfish 0 Posted September 30, 2013 Hello, I am returning to the scene after well over a years break. So a wee bit rusty,,,,,, not long after rgh was taken off I sold my slim with rgh fitted to fund baby things. Now that I am getting some time back I picked myself up a falcon xbox with rgh & latest freeboot. Kernal is the latest version. I installed fsd & dash launch via usb but forgot I had no wireless adapter so couldn't get updates. Fsd wasn't booting at first but then worked after I upgraded dash launch from 3.02 to 3.08. When I go into file explorer I can start a game with no issues. When I try and select the game in games library I get a message telling me " this is an installed game to play insert an original disc. What am I doing wrong , is it a messed up install due not connecting to the Internet & get fsd updates?
irishdave 236 Posted September 30, 2013 They all say that (all my Games on Demand games say it), it should still load no problems You can change the text via http to your xbox. PS. Congrats on the little one. Unfortunately we offer no support on that PPS. GTA V is an install disc, you just need to install the content then you can dispose that disc, you only need disc 2 once you've installed the disc 1 data

Crazygoldfish 0 Posted September 30, 2013 Hello, Thanks the little one keeps me awake! Thanks for the quick replies. I've also installed a few other games such as metal gear revengence, and halo 4.... These boot with no issues when I launchit via file manager, but if I try and launch via games library it does the same..... I hit A to launch the game and nothing happens. Crazygoldfish 0 Posted September 30, 2013 Forgot to add. The xbox doesn't have a hard drive, for the fsd install I'm using a 40gb ssd drive that's been formatted on the xbox & the games are installed on a regular hard drive that's fat32 formatted. Crazygoldfish 0 Posted October 1, 2013 Ok I haven't installed nxe2god..... Could that be the naughty wee reason?
irishdave 236 Posted October 1, 2013 Ok I haven't installed nxe2god..... Could that be the naughty wee reason? If you installed the games to your hard drive via disc then you need to load nxe2god.. even after you done that, it will still say "installed game - insert disc"
Crazygoldfish 0 Posted October 1, 2013 I will try a reinstall of fsd and dash launch with latest updates. I am trying to install from USB to USB as my DVD drive has packed in Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
Crazygoldfish 0 Posted October 1, 2013 Hello everyone. I re installed fsd and dash launch. Issue is still there. I can see the game and when I click a to launch the game it does nothing. If I launch the game via file search in fsd it works perfectly. What am I missing? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
irishdave 236 Posted October 1, 2013 hmmm, try this, in dashlaunch, set hddalive = true (hddalive keeps usb devices active at all times, if your drive goes to sleep - games wont load) / worth a try. save and reboot.
JPizzle 0 Posted October 1, 2013 on the game press Y for options and then try to delete it, see what folder it is linking you to but do not delete it. Make sure it is using the same file to launch that you are in the filemanager.
Crazygoldfish 0 Posted October 1, 2013 Thanks guys I will try those and report back....... Will I save myself allot of pain if I just buy a xbox hdd?
Crazygoldfish 0 Posted October 2, 2013 Ok the paths for the game are infact wrong. When I go to settings and add the path it creates a path for content on the main drive. Usb0 is formatted to metro format in the xbox and contains fsd, dash etc. Usb 1 contains games and is fat 32. Formatted. If I try and add the path to usb 1 it automatically adds a duplicate path to usb0. If I try to delete the path to usb0 it also takes the path for usb1 with it
JPizzle 0 Posted October 3, 2013 I would suggest not using 2 USB drives, the issue is the same drive will no always be USB0 or USB1. The console will assign them as they become available.
