  1. i have a (i believe) problem where i am unable to rip discs after repeated attempts. they simply fail at 0% or whatever other percentage, but when i play them frmo the disc itself, they play fine. the disc surface looks clean and undamaged.

i don't know if it is even a problem but wanted to throw it out there for people who may have similar issues, and hopefully a solution.

  2. 1) The database refresh is usually done each time FSD starts up. It will scan any path on your hard-drive you have set up, then attempt to get the covers from the jqe site. I've never had a problem getting rid of the second disc. You need to hit "Y" on it then go to "move" then to "no section". That should remove it from the list, but still keep the data there.

my question is- once i do that, how do i actually get it back?

    2) Like I said before the covers should automatically download when FSD starts up. Make sure you give it enough time to get the covers though. On the bottom of the screen you should see a status bar. Make sure it's not downloading anything when you go to check your game list.

it is not doing so- on the status bar it does not say that it is downloading anything. i know this because when i manually ask it to download a cover, it usually gives me the speed of download, number of items, etc.

    3) If you go to Content---> Game paths. You can add a new title path. my question is- how do i change a game path for a tile in the library? is it possible?

All in all I would recommend updating to the newest version of FSD (rev 775). Be patient when FSD is downloading content (sometimes it takes a while). Also explore the settings menu, you can do allot of cool stuff in there.i have updated to the latest version.

  3. i have a few questions on FSD that i have searched the forums for but not found a reliable answer. posting them here now for your kind assistance:

    1. what is a database refresh and how is it done? (when i have to move a disc 2 to 'no section', it gives me the warning that i will need a database refresh in order to restore it). i have tried delete data from settings but did not remove the names, only the covers

    2. how do i download all covers at once? i have like over 20 games and i don't want to download all of them manually

    3. change title path- sometimes i extract a disc but it fails and when i do it again, it makes another folder. i would rather just change the path of the title in the library (the little tiles). is this possible?

  4. thanks JPizzle

i did what you asked- i copied the content folder which had a gameid folder in 0000000....however, in my own hard drive, in the HDD>Content>0000000 folder, there was no existing game id folder matching what it said on abgx360.net. i still copied it, but i thought it's important to mention that the same golder folder was there in some other folder in the HDD>Content folder. that folder also had a 0000001 folder inside it.

let me know if i did everything OK

  5. i'm having a strange problem with this game. i'm using an RGH Corona Xbox 360 and using the latest FSD to run the game. it's all good until i came upon the hot pursuit mission where i'm supposed to crash into a guy's car after chasing him through the market and steal his phone.

after i crash into him, just as i'm walking back through the crowds when i steal his phone, xbox crashes the game saying 'game could not be started'. did i mention i am playing the game ripped from the discs? initially i thought it's a bad disc but i deleted the files, got a new set of discs and ripped it again (i'm still using the original gamesave). still same problem.

any ideas what the problem might be? should i delete the gamesave and try playing again?

  6. i have a corona RGH box and i have a few game discs such as Battlefield 3 and MOH Warfighter which ask me if i'd like to install HD content. upon reading online, i believe this is referred to as DLC (downloadable content- i'm writing out not to teach but to allow someone to correct me if needed).

when i click yes and choose my hard drive, it says it's full. i read online that it needs to be installed as DLC in the appropriate game folder, thanks to some nice guides out there.

my question is, is there a way to install the DLC directly from the disc in the appropriate folder?

  7. xexmenu is a program, synonyms for check would be "to look at" or "to investigate further. noob questions come from lack of knowledge, lack of knowledge comes from not ever using google to investigate a question before crowding a forum with noob questions. Literally the first 4 entries in google were xexmenu tutorials.

there is a reason forums exist- to help users. also, forums exist despite the presence of google.

you wasted more time writing a useless message than trying to help. you don't want to help just ignore. next time you need help, don't expect something better.

  8. You can check it in xexmenu or fsd if you have it or not. Load the defaul.xex

umm, excuse the noob question, but what is xexmenu (i do know i have fsd), but how do i 'check' and 'load....'

  9. It likely didn't work because you switched it in the official microsoft kernel by switching your demon to boot to the stock dashboard.  You need to boot your console on the RGH side while holding down your right bumper on your controller.  This will boot you to the microsoft dashboard on your RGH side.  You need to understand that freestyle dash is not actually a dashboard, it is a program that runs on top of a dashboard.  The dashboard it runs on top of is the microsoft dash, only on your rgh side it has been hacked to run homebrew programs such as fsd3.  Your microsoft kernel and your rgh kernel (commonly called freeboot) work independantly of each other.  Your microsoft kernel and your freeboot kernel both do not know that the other one exists, which is why changing a setting on the microsoft kernel will not effect what happens on the freeboot kernel.

thanks but i do know how to boot it in stock dash. my vendor provided me with a button at the back, for using xbox live, etc. anyway i did manage to get it fixed based on the method outlined above.

  10. i'd like to know-

what exactly is dashlaunch? i'm running fsd 3.x and i'm trying to run multi disc games and hence the reason i'm here. numerous guides have asked me to disable autoswap in dashlaunch but i don't even know if i have it and how to configure it.

second, how would i determine if i have it, and what version it is?

third, how do i configure it?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  11. didnt work

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i took the hint from  post on another forum (the one by the manufacturer of the Demon chip, titled 'Just got a Jtag'. i pressed the xbox button and went to settings and changed the console settings>display settings. got it done!

thanks for the views and attempted help.

  12. i have a corona demon xbox 360 with fsd 3.x. my problem is it crashed while playing a game and now it's stuck in 480p. the display is really poor and i don't know why this is or how to fix it. please help. i tried switching to the regular non-RGH mode and it is showing 1080p.

    thanks in advance

  13. lol I'd say try reading the bottom of the screen and pushing the delete button. Yes you can overwrite, it'll even say something like "Do you wanna overwrite this crap". If you copy it in the official dash, yes it'll be checked(more like error out). You could use NXE2GOD afterwards on the extraction.

you mean i can actually rip it in the retail dash? how would i play it? i already have a bunch of games on the hard drive, but i couldn't find them in the retail dash.

  14. i just got a corona xbox 360 with the option to extract to my hard drive and play from there. i'm a bit of a noob so please bear with me if you will.

one of my extracts got messed up in process and i need to do it again. 2 questions:

    1. how do i delete the existing folder? (i tried going to the folder and pressing delete but it just took me to the inside of the folder)

    2. is it possible to overwrite?

also, as a side question, is it possible to check while extracting if the disc is faulty or some data are corrupt, so in case the disc is not working properly i can get a replacement (i do buy a few used games)
