  1. Thanks to everyone for posing their gratitude to the team up here, these guys and all the other great dev teams rarely if ever get the kudos they deserve imo, so nice to reinforce the fact that the community does greatly appreciate all the cool stuff to use on/with our consoles!!

Keep the great comments coming everyone! Thank you all for helping me share the appreciation!!

(please also note that if I don't "like" your post, I will, the forum limits the amount you can pass per day lol)

THanks to the entire team here! If it weren't for you guys, I would never have made my collection of themes for FSD!!! (I'm planning to make an Aurora theme sometime in near future).

Also thanks to you too begal!I loved your fsd themes and the dashlaunch themes too! :)

  2. the simplest way I know is for FSD skins they will need to be converted to XMA files and then just replace the existing XMA files in the skin that are labeled for each action(scroll, enter, etc). or edit and add the sounds where you want them to play in a given scenes timeline in that scenes XUR file.

I have not even attempted to put sounds into Aurora skins (and In my testing it does not play video backgrounds in the skin either),,given that, and the fact it does not have action "sounds" by default I would have to assume the audio engine code(and xmv video code) is not implemented in the app as it is just excess "fat" that really adds nothing for functionality and of course uses valuable and limited resources that would be better utilized by adding something of actual function.

I was able to add wav sound files to fsd3 themes by adding sound clip into xui file. Im assuming the same can be done for aurora by editing xui files.

Sounds are trivial. You basically have enough resources in Aurora.

They are actually a nice output to recognize user actions. If there will be any sounds in future i wouldnt make them as loud as in fsd. Keep them simple as they can be annoying.

Adjust volumes of sounds with audio editors.

  3. Download the file attached. Unrar it, and put it in your theme root folder (overrite if asked).

The files in this rar: SPLASH.PNG and SPLASHSCREEN.XUR files. I edited the xur file to link it to the SPLASH.PNG file. So all you have to do now is find whatever 1280x720 picture / logo or whatever you want and save it as SPLASH.PNG.

Once done, rebuild the theme, pop it in, select it then reboot. Should work fine.

  4. So I wanted to create a custom skin for F3 like in this video.. And I have a problem  . I cant re-size a pic from 1280x720 to 420x320 for the content tabs... Any advice? Thanks :blushing:

Use PAINT.NET or PHOTOSHOP for pic editing. It gives you the option to size changing. Or you can download a program called Faststone Photo Resizer to multiple and fast pic resizing.

Hey man how do you change the FSD 3 boot screen? I already downloaded the Xzp tool an the jpg2dds to change my image an nothing still working ? What does the image size have to be.. so it can work?

Mod the SPLASH.DDS file to your liking - the only issue is it needs to be specific dds (not sure) I did the next option

    OR

create a PNG/JPG (place it in fsd root) and adjust the filename in the SplashScreen.xur
