  1. sometimes depending on the server load you will get DC. it's just the way of the walk and the amount of traffic, also, it's been known to sometimes pass the tests but still work, if you want to be double sure then add your static IP address of the 360 to DMZ that way you can guarantee that the ports are open to the 360, as long as you have gave it a static IP address that is.

  2. extract the disk contents using xbox back up creator and copy the whole folder across to HDD1/Content/0000000000000000/

So it looks like something like this.......

(as you can see the layout within that folder)

Then you can have a games folder any where you like with the other disk as an ISO2GOD file.

    Does that make sense?

I don't have a "Games" folder on the attached HDD as that's just for FSD and all the other bits and pieces, all my games are on the USB drive. but in your case you could and can put the other folder anywhere you like, as long as you have FSD scanning depth set to a few folders deep, it'll pick the default xex of the game up)

I'd just get a nice layout of a folder/structure and then you will know where everything is.

  3. NO.

What ever disc has "content" that needs to go into your 0000000000000000 folder. the other disk can just be run through ISO2GOD and put any where, external, etc.

For example, GTA is disk 1 to content, and ghost is disk 2 to content, iso2god the other disk, (This is either that way or the other way round I can't remember now) but just look at the lay out of the disks and use xbox back up creator and if the disk has contents then that's the one that needs to be extracted and goes in your "contents" etc.

  4. yip, there's a skin been made that you can load, it was discussed not to long ago on here...... some kid had managed to delete all his games or something like that and the new skin that is loaded is also password protected etc. and can only be changed via FTP or something like that.

  5. yes it tells you. and if you go to metro dashboard (Stock) then have a look and it should tell you it's 16537 then you can check your dashlaunch etc.

    ------ flashing console ------
    sending flash data to console...
    file sent OK, awaiting result...success!
    Completed in 2s

------ loading and sending avatar data ------
avatar data skipped, no HDD detected
    sending reboot command...OK

  6. try internet explorer or chrome, or firefox, have you got the correct IP address of the machine.....

if you have your CPU key you could always use "simple nand flasher" from Swizzy and get a copy of your nand that way. ;) HERE

There's a couple of ways to get your nand ;) NAND Flasher 360 etc.

  7. it's dead easy, this tut will update your dashlaunch and metro (stock) dashboard to the latest 16537, then you can simply FTP in and update your FSD or go to settings in FSD and enable beta updates and that should then next time connected to the net download the latest FSD. or you can update your stock dashboard the manual way using your cpu key and nand and create your self an image and flash it back with xell and a fat32 formatted USB key.

  8. This isn't as easy as what it would seem, I've been trying tonight for testing the theroy out and have run into a few problems. I thought I'd simply take the HDD case apart and plug the drive into the PC and then copy the drive across to the new one but it isn't shown on my PC.

By default windows pc's are not able to read storage devices formatted by the Xbox 360 console, however UsbXtaf will allow Xbox 360 storage devices to be accessed on Windows when connected by USB

So tried "horizon" and I guess you can do it that way, a little long winded, also I guess you can use FTP from FSD or xex menu etc.

Just been having a play to see what the best way is, I have a HDD that's 120 gig in size and everything is working fine on it, like FSD etc. and just been trying to copy it across to a 320 gig HDD.

Any suggestions on the best way to do it.....

I guess I can plug the 320 HDD into a caddy and use Horizon.....shame there just isn't an easy way to copy it all from A - B

Just having a look at USBXTAFGUI_v44.exe

  9. How did you get on with this, I'm sending me mate a bigger hard drive as he only has a 20 gig on it and it's full, so we want to be able to copy it all over to the new one. I'm not sure he'll be able to plug 2 HDD's in his PC at once, so maybe we can use stock dash/FSD and copy the lot over too his attached USB drive and then back again to the new one.

    Thoughts?

Your best bet would be to by a standard 2.5" laptop drive and place it into your current case as Microsoft's drives are insanely overpriced (really easy you just need a torx screwdriver), plug it into your JTAG and format it. If you go this method the way you transfer files is by pluging both hard drives into your computer and copying, or plug one into the xbox360 port, and plug the other in with the transfer cable and use Xexmenu or another file manager to copy the files.
