  1. Hay guys I've been on this one thing for a few days now. I'm just learning this stuff. But I didnt wont to asks this as i couldn't find my issue online. Go easy on me. I'm having issues. Saving my changes I make with Xuitool. Aurora_Main.xui? I was having trouble with my logo not saving for Aurora_Loading.xui but that's now sorted.

I'm using the Default.xzp from Aurora 7b1. I've made changes to the other plugin.xui files with success.

But now Im so close to finishing my first Aurora skin. But my changes wont save with Aurora_Main.xui.....if I save.......

XboxUITool/File/Save-my changes AM.xui file to my desktop it fails or keeps asking to save the same file over & over. Then corrupts my Aurora_Main.xui file I used. then the same where ever I try to save my .xui to

Same goes with File/Save As...  it just corrupts once I Save As....

I have Deleted my 360 neighborhoods over & over. tried two versions. 20871.2, 21256.8. Even went into my (C Drive) programs & deleted the Microsoft SDKs & Xbox 360 SDK folders etc. To try delete a cache or something. Lol & reboot my laptop

Even reset the AuroraElements.xml for XuiTool alot of times. The thing is I can make changes to my other .xui & save them successfully same goes with making changes to other custom Aurora_Main.xui skins as I was wondering if it was the Aurora_Main.xui I was using. But those other ones work great

I'm stuck. I was hoping it's not a code thing. As that stuff is beyond my brain capabilities.🤣 any suggestions. Much appreciated for the help as well. Cheers.

  2. I update the 0.6 skin to work with 0.7b. As I just wanted to dabble around with it. So I get the hang of where all the files are & how to change stuff around. Abit mind boggling for a noobie like me but I'm getting there. I will release the 0.6 skin I have updated. With & without the music on here. once I'm done making me a skin.

But cheers on all the info you have put out on here for Aurora skins. plus the rest of the Devs on here releasing tools & everyone else's comments & posts. As I went through majority of everything for skin building like a hawk on here. rectifying programs etc that I needed & were given me hard times.

my halo skin still in its beta stages. Still alot to learn & change on this skin as I'm doing this on the fly.lol I know I wont keep it like this & ill change everything completely. Plus I'll add some music to it once I'm happy with it & I'll release it. So im definitely keeping it halo to match my console.

i believe the quickview was changed.. plus the modules tab.. its been a while, but you can change the skin.xml or one of those to reflect the higher release.. and you can find the differences that way.. albeit, it will be a crippled skin at first..

Hay Felida. Sorry for the dumb question. My first time dabbling with skins. For the SkinMetaGenerator.

For Aurora Version doe's it matter how i put the version I.D in. As it is at 0.4

If I put the version I.D as 0.7, 0.7b, 7b1, 0.7B, 0.7B1 or is it supposed to be specific version I.D or this dont matter what I put there? Sorry bro noob arse question.🤣

It's not that simple lol.. you have to go into the xurs to find what has changed

Yeah I've been looking at the different changes to each .xzp xurs & differences. hopefully. I can figure this out & get this 0.6.xzp compatible with 0.7b1 as it was my go to skin for 0.6 until 0.7b1 come out.

  5. Like the post says. Noob here. While we are all on lockdown. May as well dabble in some skin updates before I try to make one my self.

I read on here there were some changes done to 7b1 so I would need to find those changes & apply them to the 0.6 skin.

I have the skin 0.6.xzp & 7b1.Default.xzp extracted into individual folders. Using xzptool, xuitool, Ddsconvertor etc

Original Author will stay the same. I'm just trying to make this compatible with 0.7b1.

Wish for everyone to be well & safe. Look after your self & your loved ones.

    Great.

IMHO: I don't like coverflow, because most of covers is custom.

    Only FSDFlow!

    Viva La FSD!

So why you even comment. Plus the FSD coverflow is custom? The fsd coverflow didn't build its self out of fresh air. These coverflows are for people that wanted them & a different look than the other coverflows. There not for everyone. But hay I put these up for people to enjoy.

    • Thanks 1
    • Haha 1

  7. Hay guys made some coverflow layouts. A few pics & vids of them not all of them are in the picture/video. Some are pretty much the same. Just the main cover will be In a different position or spin, wheel, flip added to it. Hope you guys enjoy. Be safe out there.

i suggest turning off auto-scanning.. boot process will be faster..

also.. the boot video is nice.. BUT the system doesn't even begin to boot until the video stops, just fyi

I still haven't finished ftping stuff to the hdds. It was just a quick preview of it. Because there is the matrix trident installed to it. It takes a lil longer to boot but its actually alot faster with the cr4/muffin to this rev c installed. As the loading times were everywhere when the CR rev c was installed its original way with the matrix. I'll get 4 - 13 cycle boots even longer sometimes. So the muffin install boots this in like 3-5 cycles.

But it boots rgloader alot quicker with the muffin install as well. As without It i have noticed that it will take way longer to boot rgloader.

With the fakeanim. I'm not worried as it's a nice feature before loading Aurora yeah it may take awhile but it's better than deleting the bootiman.xex.  as I have had customers kids delete stuff by accident & they cant boot ti dashboard & they end up sending it back to me to reflash there nand. So now I just put fakeanim on it.

This console will take a little longer now to load. As I have now installed x2 2tb internal hdds. as one of these are soldered to where the old 4gb memory unit sits. Plus the x2 2tb externals. This console will take 5 - 6mins from power up to Aurora loading everything.😭🤣🤣

when you flash the nand with RGLoader, you make it the nand it was built for.. it doesnt matter if you are on a higher/lower dash.. it will be 17489/16537/etc..

now your older stocks with lower kernels are good for jtag, and if you update them, then jtag is gone but RGH is available. still doesn't matter for rgloader

Cheers I didn't realize if any of my 360 mobos were on the latest update 17599 & flashing rgloader 17489 would not brick my console. For the jtags already know that once it has been updated its overs besides the rgh method. As I have two jasper BB jtags I done & probably close to 600 or 800 jtag/rgh 360s I've done over the years. When 360 jtagging/rgh was a thing & the money was rolling in.

Hay felida I'm not savvy on this type of stuff. I assumed that rgloader 17489 xdk nand & files that were released were only for 360 kernels on 17489 or lower. As I wasn't to sure if you could flash rgloader 17489 to anything higher than 17489 or like 17599 update. As I didnt want to brick one of my consoles for nothing if that was the case. As I do have alot of stock 360s that are on some old updates & super rare old updates that are in the jtag category. Why I assumed rgloader 17489 was only for 17849 kernels or lower

I've done a lil digging into it but didnt get to far into it as I was abit lazy to look before I started to flash rgloader to one of my consoles for the first time. So my Corona v2/v3 is my second time flashing rgloader. As I couldn't find anyone stating they flashed rgloader 17489 to anything higher. Why I assumed.

yeah it is the spoofed patches that cause the issue.. my files are tested by me extensively before i posted them.

and no.. the spoof isnt even real.. it just makes something SAY it's 17526, when it is actually just 17489 files still there.. EVERY motherboard will freeze and stuff.. avatars wont show, etc... thats why i set out to figure out what exactly was causing the problem..

and i dont get why you referenced to your kernel being 17489 at the end though?

Sorry I I don't know any thing about modding I just follow youtube tutorials and when I did this I watched modern warfare tut on "how to install rgloader" then I found itzflanky method, I did it, but now I ended up freezing on the loading screen

hay bro. My Corona v2 or v3 will just freeze if I run with the floating RGL 17489 files that are spoofed to 17526. I'm not savvy on this type of stuff. I think that RGL 17526 spoofed files are only for jaspers & trinity's from what I read people had success without doing what felida has stated & changing a few things. I only gave it a go on a Corona as i had one laying around & haven't heard of anyone saying they had success with RGL 17489. But once my Corona froze with the spoofed version 17526. I thought it was overs for my mobo as I didn't want to open it & install my nand x or jr programmer v2 & flash over my original nand because I was just lazy at the time. So what I done was just taken my internal hdd out & hooked it up to my jtag jasper or pc & deleted all the files that you have to transfer from the spoofed 17526 RGL onto root of internal hdd. Then I transferred over the actuall files from the original RGL 17489 folder onto the root of hdd. Then my Corona booted up perfectly into XDK dashboard & everything 100% works as it should. But my Corona kernel is actually still on 17489 if your wondering.

    its the patches..

and for the "floating" versions, they are just hex-edited to spoof 17526, when they are really 17489.. hence the freezing issue

you can "gh" in kdnet.. to get past those.. but yeah.. lol..

took me some time tinkering to figure out the problem and posted it here for everyone else.. would be nice to have xell in this.. but yeah

Yeah since then I have flashed back my original nand back to my falcon v2 rgh2 & left it still on 17489

My Corona v2 or v3 rgh2. is still on 17489. But I left the 17489dev nand & 17489 stock rgh nand still on hdd1/Applications/Simple 360 Nand Flasher = so I can flash the Stock or Dev nands to it at any given time. For shits in giggles. As I have a few more jtags/rgh systems I actually use.

  14. Cheers. I can confirm RGL.17489 works on my Corona GLITCH2 v2 or v3 I think it is 100% just dont add the rgloader 17526 that's floating around as the screen will freeze on power up on Coronas unsure on versions as I dont have all Coronas to test.

I decided for shits & giggles to flash rgloader 17489 to my fat falcon v2.  Dev operates fine. Booting stock dash it just freezes. Xexmenu boots up fine with Aurora then sometimes it freezes or it works perfect. But yeah RGLoader 17489 is not for Falcons.🤣

  15. What felida has stated. A new fresh install of Aurora 7b1 delete your old Aurora folder. Try clearing your hdd cach, MU, USB, external hdd ect in your settings. If you have dashlaunch installed to boot into Aurora. Delete your .ini file restart it again. I havent had any problems with Aurora as of yet. But I'm learning that Aurora can do more stuff than I knew.

To change the covers, use swizzys asset editor.. but make sure to understand that they will reset when you update for new games..

Edit: also there is a built in cover picker, there are multiple covers on unity..

Yeah I know that there is multiple cover options for majority of everything ect which is great. some covers dont match some of my titles but Aurora Asset Editor was a great help to push over the missing covers Aurora/Fsd couldn't match to some of my titles. I just wanted to add my own covers in I make to the emu's, Apps, Homebrew & to some of the missing covers to the xblig titles unity dont have unless I'm not typing the title in correctly as I was trying to find a cover for cave story but I could not find anything on unity or xbox.com. Much appreciated & cheers again for the info.

  17. Hay guys & to Aurora team....

Is it possible you guys can add an option in your quick selection settings for XBLIG aka Indie Title games, Emulators, Applications, Ogxbox games in there own specific folders so the specific titles will only show. Instead of mixed in with each other.

    I know...

    1) Homebrew: Applications, Emulators, homebrew all go straight into this category

    2)XBLA: Xbla & Xblig

    3) Xb360 & Ogxbox

I'm sort of OCD.lol but if not possible to put the specific titles in there own category folders. Just by pass this message if not possible & cheers to the Aurora team & realmodscenes for all the Aurora 7b1 content goodness & hard work.

  18. Hay guys sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. Is it possible to add 6717 update files to Xbuild gui & how. As I've picked up a jasper model that's on 6717 & I know 7173 file update on xbuild is the closest it will build your nand to. As I want to keep my jasper on 6717 update once I jtag it for nostalgia purposes as 7173 is preNXE & not the first dashblade ect. Thanks guys.

Plus do you guys know if the 360 files on degiex.net are the actual original Microsoft update 360 files. As that's were I've got the 6717 update file from & there's a few other old 360 update files there as well.
