Yesterday i got into the Service Menu and couldn't find any HDMI options.

There is a Hidden Service Menu not available for customers. It's usually a combo with the remote.

At first step, before altering your Pan's Plasma in a thermonuclear engine you should try to reset your console display settings to see if a minus resolution could be catched. As it seems you have a Phat proceed this way :

    • Make sure there’s no disc in the disc tray.
    • Turn off the console.
    • Turn on the console.

Note If you’re using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, make sure only one wireless controller is connected to the console, and then turn off and restart the console by using the Guide button on that controller.

As the console starts, press and hold Y while pulling the right trigger on the controller. The display settings are reset to the default settings, and then the console automatically restarts.

that's a good tip which i have tried ,  in the menu of the Pana when i got to System Update it takes about a minute and it says it's up to date.

Is your Pana on the network ?

Better to watch for the latest firmware on the official website compare with what's on your TV and apply upgrade by USB if needed. If indeed it's up to date search on the web for " hidden settings menu " or " factory settings menu " something like that (sorry for my english) related to your TV's model to play with advanced HDMI options.

lemme get this straight.. what is the purpose of you trying to do this? as.. you can already delete the cache easily..

The purpose of this is to have everythings as clean as possible with a game and its own TU and the option to delete them the easiest way and not to clear the cache with all TU's.

    Quote

NOW.. you have an extreme misunderstanding of the TU system..

Surely but balanced with other Xbox 360 skills.

    Quote

if the TU is small, it goes into the cache location, this isnt old kernel vs new kernel stuff.. once the TU reaches a certain size, then it gets transfered to the tu0000000_0000000 format and goes into the install dir, since the cache is a very small space..

    Quote

case-in-point: Minecraft TU's were originally placed into the cache partition, but as the game got larger updates, the cache partition couldnt hold the data anymore, hence the change.. "compat packs" are essentially the updates too big to be title updates, and whatnot..

Thanks for the info it seems logical and time linked as TU's size grew up.

I think it depends on the type of TU. Not all TU's work from the content location. Some old ones have to be in cache.

Thx for taking time to answer. Indeed old TU's location is in Cache. Which is the old Kernel manner.

I could have asked my question so : " Are the old TU in Cache took into consideration onto new Dashes ? "

    Quote

There is a way to convert them i think, but you have to do that manually

That gives me an idea just to resign the old TU with the Title ID of the game with Horizon

Edit : No. The TU with location in Cache is already signed with the Title ID of the game :ermm:

  5. This is so clear like clear waterfalls. I learn quick but you have to explain me for a while lol

I'm not concerned personally with this this external HDD problem because i never use some but i find this topic very useful. And i hope ScottPike709 find it too ;)

By useful and handy i mean no need to use the restrictive offical's MS process by reformat a complete external USB HDD. For instance :

Someone who own a Jtag\Glitch console with an external  Usb Hdd formatted under 2.0.17349. He decides to update his Nand to 17511. Most of the games aren't recognized beyond 32 Gb capacity. Then he just have to create a hidden " Content " folder and delete the " Xbox 360 " one.

  6. Ok thx guys for the clarifications :thumbsu:

If i well understand this time on " new " Kernels System Internal Memory the " old " format which has 32 Gb capacity limitation is still present but not used exclusively anymore.

So in other words no need to reformat the Usb HDD for someone whom previously set it up under " old " Kernel to remove the 32 Gb limitation ?

He will just have to create a hidden Content folder ?

  7. Quote

Yes, for Content... but not System, like i mentioned^

Ok i understand it's clear for me now. You were talking about System Internal Memory whom still 32 Gb limitation restrains. In one hand it's obvious that any System Update couldn't change the South Bridge limitation.

We were not talking about the same thing. I focused exclusively on the External Storage 32 Gb capacity limitation's levelled up to 2 Tb.

You just extract the contents and delete the hidden Xbox 360 folder, that'll make it be the "new" format when you put the files where they belong ;)

Really ? If so thx for the tip i didn't know. Never ending to learn :thumbsu:

Ok so nevermind of the System Volume Information hidden folder. Have to let it so.

I don't want to spam this topic but the 32 Gb limitation has been removed onto External Storage according to the Official changelog isn't it ? That point bothers me lol

Actually since 17349 you have FAT32 with a hidden folder named "Content" which basically holds everything the same way it does on other memory...

Yes indeed I forgot this. To see it on a PC plug in then Tools\Folders Options\ Display tab\Hidden Files and Folders\ tick " Display Hidden Files Folders and Drives ". Click Apply then Ok.

    Quote

    The 32GB limit still exists

    Hum ? I don't understand...

  10. To answer the OP :

Microsoft removed the size limitation of 32 Gb to the external usb storage since Kernel 2.0.17349. Now you're able to store up to 2 Tb on an external USB HDD but you need to format it with the console because the file structure changed. You can't no more see its content onto the PC the easy way. You need a soft like Horizon or FATXplorer.

I have however experienced that some rips don't work from the external (USB0:) but when you transfer them to internal (HDD1:) they work.

Update your Nand and\or reformat your external HDD and you should be fine ;)

  12. Mate.. his nand wires are all wrong.. doesnt matter the hack type, rgh1.0, 1.2, 2.0, jtag.. all nand dumping is exactly the same..

Beyond your poors soldering there is a problem with your J-Runner...

For the rest...Can wait until 2018 before his console's glitching once Nand dump ok.

  14. And once you are good with a working nand.. use swizzys simple nand flasher.. it can update corona 4gb, as well as any other console..

Thank you but  i know all of this ;) It's just that I always use a " special " Xell  with Auto-Dumper whom needs absolutely Rawflash to flash a Nand. And I never flash by this way even less Corona. Furthermore it flashes blind by my side and works (i understand why). This is my last message to this Topic because i don't want to spam it. Hope people will understand.
