  1. Please don't take this as a "hate message" or to be rude, but everything that Swizzy and Master Rowen have been saying is true. However, I will point out now that everyone, and anyone is entitled to there own opinion. But Aurora is in fact far superior to FSD. Like the fact FSD would (from time-to-time) lag/freeze for no reason. (Unless of course you have a scan path with a s*** ton of content.) And even crash. That I particularly have noticed, you're the only one with this many complaints about Aurora, lol. The only thing I liked about FSD was that you could tell on the dash who was currently signed in (usually 1st player only I think) and you could see your avatar. But we (I mainly) understand that you (may be) new to Aurora and as what they say "Going into the unknown is scary, when change is inevitable" but Aurora opens up alot of big doors that were original difficult to implement on FSD (or just wouldn't work) Nobody here is forcing you to pick one or the other. I will tell you this: *SPOIL ALERT* LiNK will forever be inaccessible from FSD. (in due time) You must have Aurora installed to play online. (That is IF you do) Um...has NOVA been canceled?
  2. One of few reasons why I mentioned an "auto switch" for AutoFake and FakeLive. And if that happens, I personally, would make the "auto switch" enabled by default. Maybe even mandatory. But IDK. I don't believe you would need that enabled for chat on RDR. Maybe you do, maybe you don't. If I recall correctly, I had AutoFake enabled (90% of the time I do) I've heard other people talk just fine.
  3. Well that's strange. I have plenty of games and they all work just fine. I see absolute no point in having FakeLive ever enabled for Single Player only games. Just the one that supports System LiNK. But I will be getting a new hard drive soon for my new Xbox. So I what I'll do is install all the Xbox 360 games I have (which is almost 160 btw and I pay for all my games.) and play with the settings on DashLaunch. To see what's what.
  4. Yeah I do come up with alot of ideas, though I don't have any "real" knowledge on how to do any of this stuff. I kinda just "come up as I go." But, that's a shame though. Alot of people would like to download them through the Xbox. I know I would have. But, what evs. It doesn't bother me. So what else can we come up with? I know a while back, I asked if there could be an "auto switch" between AutoFake and FakeLive on DashLaunch for certain games. That way there's always a way to use in-game voice chat. Some games you don't need FakeLive, others you do. (I believe AutoFake is enabled by default.) Example: Halo series, you only need AutoFake on, no need for FakeLive. Same with CoD: Black Ops 1 & 2. However, CoD: Ghosts, and Modern Warfare series, you need FakeLive on.
  5. Oh OK. I'll try to play with it later after I download it. Thanks
  6. Couldn't you put like a "Report Bug" or "Report Issue" on XYZM? Like, OK...let's say it happens, I want to download a trainer (obviously from the Xbox and that would be nice ) for Halo 3. It's finished downloading, I try it out, but it doesn't work. "Crap! I'm gonna have to let them know it doesn't work properly." I go onto the XYZMods website I type in Halo 3 (or unless you make like a button or something that way it's more noticeable on page.) And I type what the problem is. However, I think the best way to do it, would be to have multiple trainers (that are the same.) But for each title update. As there are ones made and updated for specific TU. (Oh this part I was referring to the Xbox itself...downloading wise.)
  7. On Topic: Could we have the ability to download trainers (Aurora supported only) from the Xbox? Off Topic: What format do games (emulator roms) have to be to play on Xbox? I have the complete SNES collection, and I think they're in .bin format. (I never reformatted them.)
  8. Replace it with what exactly? Another XZP? I don't know how to edit those kind of files.
  9. OK, so I was fine saying that then. *wipes sweat off forehead* Oh something I noticed yesterday about Aurora, you can have different backgrounds set for different profiles. That's actually pretty cool. Speaking of which, I downloaded the Steam skin yesterday. Whoever created it, awesome job, I love it. But there's one thing I wish that was changed. The official Steam logo is actually grey/silver/chrome. On this skin it's purple. Aside from that, great job!
  10. It's hard enough trying to come up with ideas and explaining how it is and helping people how to do things like that at the same time. It took me a while to figure out how to install DLC's. One of my favorite things about Aurora is that when you go into the content folder, (00000000...) you don't have to "know" what the ID of the game is because it tells you automatically. Which makes it easier to tell where to put such things. If someone REALLY wanted DLC's couldn't they just go on Google? That's the easiest way to find them, LOL! (I hope I was allowed to say that.)
  11. What else could we do? I have no idea what the final option should be for Player Report. I did think about message spamming, but that would be useless if you block someone. What if it had something to do with someone not having any DLC's and they constantly try to join even though they don't have it, and everyone else does? Not sure if it's good enough though...
  12. I should've worded that differently. If we could have a custom startup directory when you enter File Browser. I could take a photo of what I mean if it helps. Example: Xbox Guide>File Browser>Game (As showing devices) Hdd1 USB1 My custom directory: Xbox Guide>File Browser>Games (Games is the name of my directory where I keep them that is with-in Hdd1.) Xbox Xbox 360 Xbox LIVE Arcade
  13. What about adding the ability to create a custom path for File Browser on the Xbox Guide?
  14. About your response to 2.). That is what I've been trying to say. Did you even read the topic, or did you just "skim?" I mentioned on the Player Options, that it wouldn't effect Public Rooms, just rooms that you create. Example: Both you and I are on CoD. You created your Game Room, and I join. If I have a poor connection or if I was cheating (ya know trainers) you would be able to block me. After you've blocked me, I'm automatically kicked from your room, and I could NEVER join your created room. (Or anyother room you would create in the future.) On any game. HOWEVER, if you and I were in a Public Room, you could still block me, but I wouldn't be kicked as it is a Public Room. You would not receive any messages, or game invitations from me. Because I'm blocked from you. As I have said before, moving on. I DID NOT MAKE THIS TOPIC FOR ARGUMENTS. I thought this would be a great way to come up with ideas, but apparently nobody's getting off the connection "discousion." Great job Dustin, ya pissed someone off, and now your big idea dies.....perfect.
  15. There is no way to tell if someone is using a wired or wireless connection. It's IMPOSSIBLE. Microsoft can't do it either.
  16. 1.) Voice has nothing to do with connection as that in-game action. I'm on Halo: Reach with my friends in a public room in a full lobby and connection is damn near perfect. Same goes for any other game.2.). Everybody has the right to play on LiNK no matter what you say. 3.) If your not interested in my idea, you're free to leave...
  17. Okay, moving on. We need to try to come up with more ideas. ...What about adding the ability to set a custom path for File Browser on the Xbox Guide?
  18. What if your not in a hotel? Maybe your at your family's house.
  19. I forgot to reply, but you actually do have to set things up on NXE, it's not possible to leave such things "blank." If memory serves me right, you always set that stuff up when you are doing the initial setup on NXE (modded or not)
  20. I'm not sure how we even got on the Wi-Fi subject, LOL!
  21. I understand your frustration, in fact, your pissed because you (I'm not saying you do) have the best connection possible, and not a hole lot of people have a good enough connection to even really play because of lag. I feel you. I really do. I also put up with it, but it's not terrible. You'll just have deal with it. It's not Xbox LIVE, but it's the next best thing. You could always get the Xbox One. I have it. I love it actually. Hey, if my idea happens (that is a BIG if) then all you would have to do is find people that have their setting as English, only play with the ones that speak/understand it. Create your own private room with a password, and invite your friends. Then, you won't have to worry about a bad connection. FYI, there's no such thing as a "open private room" LOL! There is Public Rooms, Open User Rooms, and Private User Rooms. (Where you create a password.)
  22. 1.) I'm not on vacation. I was just making an example. 2.) No offense, but you are only thinking of yourself. 3.). It doesn't matter what game someone wants to play, someone can still have a poor or good connection. (Even on Wi-Fi, someone could easily have a great connection. I have perfect Wi-Fi connection, but I'm always wired.) Also, it's impossible to tell if someone is using Wi-Fi or wired. So then basically (in your case) block 45% of users on LiNK just because of poor connection.) That is unfair. 4.). I did not start this topic so people would argue with one another. 5.). Next time when you write a comment, word it carefully. Some people can take things the wrong way. And that would cause a problem. 6.). Have a nice day. (Or weekend, LOL!)
  23. Yeah I noticed that. That wouldn't be fair to anyone though. I mean what if I went on vacation (or anyone for that matter) and decided to take the Xbox. But the only connection I have is Wi-Fi? That'd be unfair to me or anyone else.
  24. We shouldn't be allowed to permanently ban someone just for cheating. That could and would look bad for the community. But that is also why I added the "other" option. I was also trying to do these as fair as possible.
