  1.

yes, the internal is sata and the external is usb 2.0

Of course, you post is totally logical. I don't know why i did not think of this.

The HDD signature check is removed in JTAG/RGH images which means you can use any size hard drive you like.

A 5400RPM drive is perfectly fine as read/write times are fine and the HDD will run quiet.

I have a 2.5" 500GB Seagate hard drive in my RGH console.

Did you do something special to prepare the internal drive before you mounted it inside the 360? Did it have to be pre-formated in FAT32? Or does the 360 does all the preparing work by itself?

    Thanks!

  2. Hello folks

I have just registered but have been following the site for a while. The info and help I have found in this community has encouraged me to decide into going the RGH way.

Just wanted to leave a small thank you post to every one of you that make the Xbox scene as strong as it is. Without your hard work we could never have the countless hours of fun that we enjoy with our modded systems.

This goes to both the developers and the helpful users that hang around this fantastic place.

Keep the good work guys. It is really appreciated.

  3. Hello folks

I have a Trinity 4GB with an external 320GB USB HDD. It works ok and my setup is pretty standard with F3.

I am thinking in investing in one internal 2TB HDD. All the ones I have seen are 5400RPM so I have decided for this one:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236551

It is not going to fit inside the slim HDD plastic case because it is 15mm tall but I am planing to just mount it without it.

My question is: Would an internal 5400 HDD be faster than a external USB one?

    Thanks.
