  1. Why is it possible to activate 2 or more title updates at once? This happens in my FSD3. I for example downloaded (using F3 TU area) the 3 TUs for Bioshock and can activate the 3 of them. All show green light.

I had the impression that you could only activate one TU at a time.

How is this behavior in your F3s? Can you activate several TUs at once, or only one? I almost swear that you could only had ONE active TU before. Has something got broken in my FSD3?

  2. The hole database on this console is around 750 games big, but there are only 75 on the Xbox 360 category.

I have found that restarting F3 use to get the favs back.

My hopes are put in Aurora. When the dash is a little more mature I will definitely make the jump. Maybe I can have my hole XBLA collection under the XBLA section and not splitted in 3 sections like I have it today with F3.

    Thanks.

  3. Hi

    I am on F3 v.775.

I can add items to the favorites list by using the LB + Y combination, and the favorites are being shown when going into the list using LB+X. The problem is that the favorites list is not always being shown between reboots. Sometimes after a console reboot I can access it and other times it is just empty. Rebooting F3 can bring the list to life again with all the favorites intact so they don't get deleted, it is some kind of detection problem. It is easy to see when the favs have been loaded because the small golden stars are shown over the favorite titles when the list is working, they are absent when the list has not been correctly loaded.

I have tested with the Xbox 360 games category.

Any advice on how to fix this issue?

I have tested both on default skin and on The Dream Theme 2.5. The behavior is the same.

    Thanks for the help.

  4. This is a english forum, use english yes?

You're right, sorry for that. I was just trying to explain to him in his language because he was having trouble with english, but next time I will use the PM system in these situations.

  5. I am at the moment experimenting with this.

The upper limit I have found with the default skin (reseting everything to default is important when testing this issue) is something around 500 entries per category.

With The Dream Theme v2.5 that, as the TS, is also the skin I really want to use, the upper limit is not as high. I have experimented with several amounts of games per category and have found that a safe limit for my console (Trinity-4GBMU, 2TB internal HDD) is halv part of that.

In my case is the amount of XBLA games I have that is the issue. I have something something like 650 of those.

What I am doing now is making 3 folders: XBLA1, XBLA2 and XBLA3 and filling them up until I reach 250 games on each. I then use these 3 categories to store them: Xbox Live Arcade, Homebrew and Xbox Classics. My Xbox 360 collection is not as big so it sits nicely under its own category, and all the other stuff I put under emulators.

It is maybe not the best way, but until now it is the only way i have found to deal with the crashes. I love The Dream Theme and have done all of this just to use it.

Be sure to set the download art to low quality in settings and to disable auto scan. When I was experimenting i just moved the games to the other directories and deleted the hole F3 database (delete the Data folder under your F3 folder). Like that you can start from scratch every time. i always downloaded the hole art again when I changed the amount of games in a category, until I finally found the balance that didn't crash my box.

I will maybe start to depurate my library and delete games I don't want, when I have time. In an ideal world I would not have to :), but the reality is that we are dealing with stuff that push the console to its limits when we are dealing with big libraries.

I am still experimenting with all this so my values can or cannot work with others.

I have not yet tried default theme classicnxe as suggested by @irishdave. That and hddalive = true sound like 2 good advices, but I want to use The Dream Theme. IMO there is no better skin for F3.

  6. Hi folks

I am using a 2TB internal HDD and all my content is stored there. My games are stored as GOD.

My drive structure is as follows:

    /
    -Content
    -Cache
    -RGH: With the following subfolders:
--SYSTEM: (With utilities folders lile F3, Dashlaunch...)
    --XBOX360GAMES: My XB360 games (60)
    --EMUS
    --HOMEBREW
    --XBLA: My XBLA games (600+)

I have a small 60 XB360 game library that F3 goes along well with. No problems when I am on the XB360 area.

I have the full collection of XBLA games until May 2014. It is a big library with more than 600 games. Around 30 seconds after going into the XBLA section in F3 the dashboard crash miserably on me :(

I have disabled automatic scanning on start and have scanned all the content manually. I choose directly the XBLA type before setting the path, I don't use AUTO and use middle resolution for the game covers.

How do you deal with big libraries so F3 does not crash when loading the section?

I have to still check any crash logs. Have still not read where I can find them.

Any advice is very welcome. Thanks.

  7. For anyone guessing about the save game files. I found the answer to this, it was just too late for me because the hole HDD that had these files has been erased (as I was thinking I could not use any of the things that were left on it). Maybe someone else can use this info:

You can basically transfer any save file from one profile to another using this editor:

  8. I have been playing with this skin for some hours. I think the skin has some problems with big game libraries.

It worked great with 60 XB360 games and a few XBLA titles loaded, but when I loaded a big collection of XBLA (500 games) and went to the Xbox Live Arcade area, F3 ckocked and crashed. I tried several times restarting the console but it always crashed after some seconds of being on the XBLA area.

I am using medium resolution for custom covers.

I had to return to the default skin which doesn't give any problems.

Really a pity because the skin is just unbelievable amazing.

Any advise on how to make it work with the big XBLA library would be really appreciated. Thanks.

    EDIT:

After much experimenting i have found the reasonable limits for this skin and my console:

Each category has max 250 entries for being on the sure side. I have to divide my XBLA collection in 3 different categories:

    - Live Arcade

    - Homebrew

    - Xbox Classics

The first 2 have 250 games each.

I can now enjoy The Dream Theme without crashes. It is still puzzling that the original skin can handle 500 games per category without a sweet. I guess it is because the graphics on this skin are so good compared with the default F3 skin. Anyway, I am just happy that I have found a workaround.

  9. hi i am new to the forum forgive the typos is that I use a translator I would like especially to catch up on modscene as it is my first 360 rgh has fs3 I wonder where pages can I download games for the console and I have also seen that there are several different dashboard to mine which are the characteristics of each game I'm looking for right now is alan wake american nightmares free region and with subtitles in Spanish if I can help I would be very useful thanks :dj:

Los enlaes para bajar los juegos los encuentras en Google. No preguntes aqui que va contra las reglas.

Si tienes la consola en español y el pais local en español en la configuracion muchos juegos te corren sin hacerles nada mas en español.

    Suerte.

  10. Well the WD green arrived today and it does not fit the connectors.

The freaking disk is too fat.

I knew that there was always a risk of not fitting, being the disk 15mm thick. I was thinking that there was not going to be a problem if I did not used the HDD case, but even without it the connectors do not get in line.

What really surprised me is that I googled a lot before ordering and could not find any post anywhere saying that the disk was not compatible with the Xbox 360.

I am retuning the drive now for a refund and will try to get one of the new Samsung 2TB that are standard heigh:

If I can not buy one of those here I'll just have to use an standard WD blue 1TB :(

  11. It was done transferring it. The profile was just 5MB big and the stick was on the Xbox for maybe 20 minutes. I got the message that the transfer was done, but the profile was still signed in when I pulled the USB stick it from the box.

I think i should have signed out from the profile before pulling the stick out. It is the only explanation I can think of, but as I told before I am not familiar with having profiles saved in USB memory units. Mine has always been stored on the internal HDD.

Is there any hope in using that saved game files that still are in the HDD, or they are just useless without the profile?

  12. I don't own one but i played friend's and don't think controls a downgrade from the 360 ones, what i noticed was u ain't allowed multiple profiles.

You ain't??? Almost unbelievable. Are you sure? How do you implement parenting controls in a family house then?

  13. I am feeling dizzy...

I have had my profile on my retail box for almost 7 years. Started as a Live profile but after my box got banned in 2011 I continued using it offline since. Saved games for 10s of games and achievements are linked to it. Today I decided that I was going to transfer it from that box to my newly acquired RGH.

I had the bright idea of using a USB memory stick for doing this. I have never, in all these years, used USB to profile storage so was totally unaware that something bad could happen if you REMOVED THE DAMN THING BEFORE SIGNING OUT FIRST!

Well, Mr. Morphy's law was once again confirmed :(

The worst part is that I have no idea why I decided to MOVE the profile to the stick instead of just copying it. Now I am sitting with a USB stick that holds a corrupted profile when I am trying to read it on the RGH box.

I don't care for the achievements, what I care is for the saved games. I did not transferred the games, just the profile, but I am afraid that the saved games are linked to that special profile, and cannot be used by another one.

I can still see all my games and saves stored on the retail using the NXE. But I tried to copy for example Braid (XBLA) with all its saves from the hard disk on the retail into USB and I just got a message that "this item cannot be transferred between profiles" or something like that.

Is there any way that I can repair the corrupted profile on the USB stick or transfer these saved games from the hard drive on the retail to a new profile on the RGH?

    Thanks for your help

  14. One is just hideous. 360 phats were sexy. They really screwed up this time on the aesthetics department. Have never tried it, but if one is to believe all the critic that has been said about the system, it is not just the aesthetics that is the problem, even after they have tried to fix their initial caos after launch with the DRM and the bundled Kinect rising the price.

Have you tried the One yet? Are the controls really a downgrade from the 360 ones?

  15. Trinity and corona ussually don't go above 70 iirc (with default settings), especially in idle...

Damn... can this box have some kind of overheating problem? I have not had it long enough to know. It is summer here but the room is not warm at all.

I have never listened the internal fans go off loud in this Xbox but I know they work because I have raised the speed inside FSD3 just for testing.

I have now set the threshold for CPU in Dashlaunch to 70C and will keep an eye on it.

    Thanks!

  16. Hello

Have a Trinity 4GB. I updated yesterday from kernel 15574 to 16747 using xeBuild_GUI_2.093. Everything appears to be running fine except for XeLL.

XeLL 0.991 was running ok and showing me all the normal info, including my 2 keys.

XeLL 0.993 does not show any of the keys. It appears to hang after SATA device at ea001200

My ATAPI DVD is identified by XeLL as HL-DT-STDVD-ROM DL10N

I think I have read something about a bug on this version of XeLL and Hitachi drives. Is this the reason to this happening?

No USB device has been connected to the console at boot.

  17. Almost :).

It needs formatting/configuring, but apart from that, there is nothing you need to do.

Excuse me, but just to see if I understand you perfectly:

I just put the new 2TB hard disk (without any format or partitions, totally raw) inside the 360 and I can then configure it totally from the NXE? And then I can put all the games, FSD, etc and transfer my profile, saved games, etc to it? I ask because the FAT32 formated 320GB USB HDD I am using right now to hold my games cannot be read by NXE but it can be perfectly seen by FSD3. NXE just tells me that I have to configure the drive and that it will erase everything on it.

    Thanks a lot.
