I know where splash.dds is, I'm going to try something different perhaps it will work, if It does I'll post the results.

Are you talking about splash.dds or the file with the code that tells it to load splash.dds?

Is there a way to change FSD from using splash.dds, and make it look for a JPG or GIF? I haven't found a file yet that calls the splash.dds, I'm assuming its in an XML file or possibly hardcoded into the default.xex but I'm not sure.

According to my search results from google, Apparently you cannot make a .dds file animated. I tried to convert an animated GIF and the end result was a still image for my splash.. Maybe one of the developers of FSD3 could shed light on whether its possible, or better yet, change the way it works so we could use regular images for the splash instead of dds files so we could use animated GIF's

What I done was use my phat's 20gb hard drive and bought a slim hard drive enclosure and switched it out, I eventually bought a 250gb laptop hard drive for cheap and replaced the 20gb with it, never had any problems, shouldn't be any different for the bigger HD's like irishdave said about 1000gb. but you'll likely have to put the hacked backwards compatibility files on the new hard drive, there is a backwards compatibility fixer app that will create the partition needed (if you want backwards compatibility to play Xbox 1 games)

TX is about making money, they wouldn't release a software (softmod) hack, it will likely be something you have to buy from them.

How to Wirelessly FTP your WIFI enabled Phat or Slim 360 with Freestyle Dash Written by Gangrel_1313 @ http://RealModScene.com First log into NXE, Go to SETTINGS, Click on SYSTEM Next click NETWORK SETTINGS Then on the Available Networks screen, click ADVANCED OPTIONS Next click CREATE A AD-HOC NETWORK Create the SSID (name) of your network using the on-screen keyboard, we'll use XBXFSD for this tutorial, but you can use anything. Next at the EDIT AD-HOC WIRELESS SETTINGS screen, you can add WIRELESS SECURITY and modify 802.11 NETWORK TYPE, which is optional, for this tutorial I'm just leaving settings as default (no security), then click Done. You will automatically connect the Xbox to the AD-HOC Network (NOTE: it shows no bars until you connect your PC to the connection, once connected it will show signal strength) Leave your Xbox on that screen, Now with your wireless PC (i'm using Windows 7), click the signal bar on your task bar to bring up wireless connections.. Search for the SSID you created, in this case XBXFSD and connect. (NOTE: if you used security when setting up the AD-HOC network on the xbox, you will be prompted for the password you created) You may have to wait a minute or so to aquire a IP address for the console, now press the globe on the Xbox controller and click FREESTYLE HOME (or XBOX HOME). Then Click YES when prompted. Now back on the Freestyle Dashboard, you should see your aquired IP address (Mine was 169.254.121.235, yours may be different) (NOTE: if you dont see your top and bottom bars, click right analog stick to make them appear). Now you have different options for transferring files, if you use Windows, you can use Windows Explorer by clicking MY COMPUTER and entering this into the address bar: ftp://xbox:xbox@XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX (X's replaced with the IP you obtained, xbox is default FTP login/password credentials on FSD) Then click enter and it should connect to the Xbox's FTP server, then you can browse the directories and transfer files from PC to the XBOX. Another FTP method is with your favorite FTP clients (I use Filezilla), just type the IP address in the server box and Xbox in Username and Xbox in Password box and connect. I had a thought about something, every time that I update FSD, I have to manually re-download covers and ect.. I found that using file manager and moving title updates folder to the new directory (I install each release in separate directories) and I recovered my TU's without downloading them again, have you guys ever thought of a import plugin that will import game covers, TU's and other stuff to save from having to download them multiple times.... I understand that updating from the dash probably just overwrites (I assume), but I've had to manually download because of my internet connection.

I was talking about incorporating descriptions for the title updates on the menu where you select what TU you want to use

This is a question I been wanting to ask for a while, I guess I must have forgot but since I seen other title update topics it reminded me and so now I remembered what I wanted to ask.. Is there going to be information on individual Title Updates so we know what they do, or are we just going to have to do a trial and error type thing and discover what they change on our own? I would personally like to know what the title updates on certain games change or do prior to activating them. Thanks

Always have problems downloading attachments from RMS, never completes or stalls, cant resume, never can get it, wish someone would provide a torrent download as an alternative, I had to download F3 last time from torrent, guess I'll search for a torrent of this. EDIT* Also, as an alternative method of trying to download the update, I set my android phone to act as a wifi hotspot and connected xbox, however in settings when I checked for udates, it didn't show any new updates so I couldnt update from there.

I heard that you can run Ubuntu on a RGH, my question is can you create custom tab (a tab that would straight up launch a app) for certain apps?

Unless its possible to fake Gold, I dont think there will be an option for Netflix, I do believe someone could take source code and perhaps port a web browser to the xbox (even though I have been wanting a browser for the longest time, and people said whats the point? Use your computer, Well it must have been requested quite a bit if MS put one on the xbox)
