  1. The reason you get "the save data was created with another version of the game" is most likely because the last save you made was from TU5. Now since your TU6 is not loading, it thinks it's at TU0. You can't load a save from a higher TU than you're currently running.
I don't know of a way to change the version of the save data, I don't think it's possible.

edit: and you're right, i've checked a couple different versions of the same TU6, they all say the same MediaID. I checked multiple sites in English and Brazilian. The only fix I run across anywhere is that you need to unload the FSD plugin. So many people seem to have no issues running it, but a few have the same identical issue as you. What makes no sense to me is that I don't know how to get FSD or Aurora to see the TU and let you enable it because of the MediaID being off. The only other advice I can give is to try using a different version (TitleID/MediaID) of the game, maybe GOD (I read some people saying that was how they run it). Other than that, someone else is going to have to come along to give you the answer, cause I don't have it. :(

  2. Ok, well on to something else then, that seems OK.

Did you transfer the TU (and DLC) over to your 360 using Wifi, SMB, FTP, USB?

I know you said you used Horizon, but have you tried using a USB stick formatted to FAT32? it's possible it was somehow corrupted in the transfer before.

If that still doesn't yield results, you might try to launch it using XEX Menu.

edit: OK, I just downloaded and checked the TU you linked with 360CM, it shows the TU is MediaID: 4955B754 TitleID:45410997

I would venture a guess that it will never work, but I might be wrong.

  3. ive installed aurora, what should i do now to check the baseversion?

So in post #4 I described how to check that.

If on Aurora, just go to the game, press Y, then press right to go to the subtitle, select it and scroll down to view the MediaID and Base.

However, you'll probably need to scan your game into the database first if it's a fresh install. You can scan just the one game, or all games, up to you. To do that, press Start on your controller and tab right 3x to the Content Scanning tab. Go down to Manage paths and select Add. From there just browse to wherever you have your game installed and select the directory. Make sure to set the Depth properly, set script data to none, then save. Basically same method as FSD, just a different interface. Once that's done, just follow the instructions from post #4 and post you game's base version. It should be listed near the top.

  4. oh okay, sorry my mistake. i have kernel version: 2.0.16747.0 and dash version: 3.0b Rev775

Ok, thanks Lolz. To take that completely out of the equation you might want to update to latest kernel. Check Swizzy's signature for instructions on that.

edit: tu6 looks like it was released in early May of 2015, kernel version 17349 was released April 30 2015. If Swizzy's assumption of title update needing newest kernel is correct, then you may need to update to at least 17349, possibly only 17150. To be safe just bump it to 17489.

  5. Ok, well since I don't know how to find base from FSD I can really only help you from Aurora. So once you get that I'll jump in again.

The TU you got from XYZ is probably fine, just need to check if it's a match for your game.

BTW, you might want to reconsider posting files that are hidden from the general public on XYZ's site, they are for registered users there and might upset the person who uploaded it.

Also, saying "I'm pretty sure 100%" doesn't help anyone who's trying to help you. Post your actual kernel (dash) version, for 100% accurate help. If you're unsure how to obtain that, then either research it or ask for assistance. For all anyone knows, you might have a modified xex that made the game run on an older dash.

  6. Most software is commandline and is generally installed by doing apt-get install <appname>

Do they even do it that way anymore in Mint or Ubuntu? I thought they made a GUI app manager. IDK, i Haven't used Linux since Jaunty Jackelope, lolz (if you don't count GParted or RasPI). But yeah, command line would work regardless.

  7. When I load a game in FSD it shows titleID (TID) mediaID (MID) version#, disc# and TU#. So if it's crashing FSD on you, I would look at some other things.

Are you sure you disabled the FSD plugin??

What kernel are you on?? Looks like DAI requires at least 16537

Did the file get corrupted when downloading?? It's a big TU!

Maybe try installing Aurora (it's kind of a big thing here), since FSD is dead. You'll probably get more (and better) support.

edit: I did read elsewhere that disk Auto-swap in FSD can lead to a crash.

and if the Title Update manager says no TU found, it's not there. If it's not there then you can't enable it, right? If you can't enable the TU, maybe the DLC is what is crashing it.

  8. what i did is extract those files onto my desktop, and drag them into horizon, and save them into my external hdd, so the media is always correct.

can you guide me through the right way to install those TU's?

and how do i check the version of my game?

If i'm not mistaken, Horizon (or similar apps) will put the file where it needs to go, whether or not you have the game that matches it's MediaID or Base version. So even though you installed them, they may be for another version of the game. Chances are they don't match.

I'd be happy to help you, but need to know the MediaID and Base version for your DLC and TU, along with your game's MediaID and Base version.

Are you on Aurora or FSD? If on Aurora, just go to the game, press Y, then press right to go to the subtitle, select it and scroll down to view the MediaID and Base. Not sure with FSD, I think you have to launch the game and then bring up the guide to see that info.

Anyways, basically your TU goes here...

    X:/content/0000000000000000/<TITLEID>/000B0000/

    and you're DLC goes here...

    X:/content/0000000000000000/<TITLEID>/00000002/

  9. Made like a all-in-one version.... PSD

Just select layers that you want to be visible, and save file....

Hope someone can make use of it...

I'll make use of it, thanks for the share. Lot's of good layers in there and a nice back cover setup. Opens in Gimp too!

Here's the one I hodgepodged together for my own use (uses Gimp xcf format)...

I believe this is the original template that was available from JQE site before the switch...

  10. There's XMplayer too. But my recommend would be to get a raspberry Pi. They have a new model that only costs $5 now. Don't get me wrong, 360 is great, but it seems like it could mature a bit as a good media center.

edit: Seeing as how Kodi (formerly XBMC) will not be made for Xbox in the foreseeable future, I have a hard time seeing it catch up to whats out there. Here's a preview video of the skin i'm using on OSMC right now.

  11. I read through this forum for almost a year before I even posted once. The search function is great, gave me all the answers I needed.

Another good tip is when Googling, append site:realmodscene.com to the end of your search and it will filter results to just this site.

  12. So I decided to make my own IR Blaster (since I don't like to spend money). Now I can control my cable box from my Xbox One without having to cough up the extra cash for a Kinect. So simple too, Just used a spare SPDIF to RCA cable I had laying around, and soldered in an IR transmitter from my old Xbox DVD remote.

Let's check the score on that DVD Playback kit... I used the Dongle board on my OG Xbox to internally tie into the X3IR and give me remote functions, I used the IR receiver on a Raspberry Pi I built for my dad to enable a GPIO remote, and now i'm parting out the remote to use it's IR emitter for my Xbox One. That's pretty decent mileage for a $20 purchase from well over 10 years ago.

Here's a couple of pics, it's a little ghetto but it works perfect.

  14. i would love to play prince of persia trilogy again :D

Me too! Fun games, unfortunately I don't think Two Thrones or Warrior Within made it to Xbox 360 BC. Luckily I still have them on the Original Xbox.

They did release the HD trilogy remaster, but I think that was only on PC and PS3.
