    The xbox360 is limited.. lol..

1.5 or 1.6 isnt 11.. is what i was getting at.. and i DO mean megabyte, not mega bit.. i cap off at 11megabyte using wire.. been forever since ive used wifi lol.. i know its drastically slower.. i remember fsd showing 300k~ish while uploading years ago.. and by all means, the xb1 even has crappy wifi too.. haha

I know what you meant homie. Just didn't think 300kbps was doing it justice, lolz. My 360 is connected wired too, just that everything I do is from my laptop with a tx rate of 1300mbps.

SMB is only needed for streaming games.. you SHOULD ftp stuff via wire.. caps out at 11MB/s with xexmenu, 9MB/s with aurora(for some weird reason).. ftp via WiFi, caps out at roughly 300KB/s..

xbdm.xex and the sdk are not needed AT ALL for transferring so i dfk what you are using that for........

hell.. dash 17349+ have ACTUAL worth while USB support now.. so you could just use an external hdd and swap away..

so what was your point again? moot it is...

Out of curiosity, since I always thought my WiFi was much faster than that, I just tested an FTP transfer to my 360 and was peaking @ 1.5-1.6 MB per sec or ±12mbps

I have Access 2016 installed. Will I be able to use GaDaBaMa with it?

Considering there are two versions, one for Access 2010, one for Access 2013, I wouldn't think so. Also from Keyser...

FYI, Jqe360.com redirects to xboxunity now. The cover API has changed since that was last updated though, which is why the official FSDrev775 wont download them anymore either. If you could get the source code for the app, it would be easy enough to fix though. :) Totally not worth it if you ask me, but easy none the less.

I had a tough enough time just finding a single link to the binary, doubt I would ever be able to find the source (aside from trying to contact keyser). Thanks for the info gavin, but like you said, not worth the hassle.

    Please reupload GaDaBaMa

I think it's time to move on buddy. Not only is FSD abandoned, but I just attempted to check covers through my installation of GaDaBaMa and it does not even communicate with the cover site anymore (jqe360.com). If you absolutely need it I found a Mega.nz file online through a xbox-link site in Spanish? So it can be found through a google search, but I won't share it cause I can't confirm it's legit except for this. Good luck and happy hunting.

I have the original trainer template as well as AxR's Search Tool Beta (AxR360 64bit and 64bit debug). Trainer tutorial videos 1-5 with readme's, XYZ engine and Aurora trainer dat tool. Not sure if it would be OK to post up any of that stuff though without permission. After all, they might be coming back... don't know.

    edit: Screenshot of files ;)

    Screen%20Shot%202015-12-16%20at%205.58.0

I´m by xyzmods, too. Only a user, but i had never seen the tool before and the tut videos. where can i download them ?! Sorry 4 my bad englisch, I´m german. Greetz

The thread where I posted the tutorial is located here. I don't believe I ever uploaded AxR's Search tool. If felida can get permission to upload it then he would be the best bet to get the tool from at this point (since he stays in contact with XYZ people)... I haven't been on XYZ site in ages.

  7. It is totally worth the update, You do realize it takes like 5 minutes most to run the update. I litterally hit the update button, and went to the bathroom, and the update was done.

Yeah, I know it's a quick update, I figure I'll need to sit down and spend some time with the new features though, not to mention play some catch-up with the forums, lolz. I'm all excited now.

  8. No one in the scene ever made a plugin to slow down the float point?

I remember a very long time ago during the 2000's working with games from the 90's on newer equipment and even with DOSbox we had methods to adjust the float point so that the games would run slow enough to be able to play without impacting the system itself. Not sure how helpful that would be but as XB Classic is x86 hardware from what I understand, couldn't the same idea be implemented on overclocked systems?

Not sure, float points are way over my head, but I thought the whole reason for the patch was to allow xbe's to utilize the 1+GHz CPU instead of the 733MHz limit they were originally built. My head hurts just thinking about it :wallbash:

If anyone was going to do that, it probably would have been XBMC, and I wonder if they have the manpower to bring that to the project anymore...

  9. I have a v1.6 board and power supply sitting here if you are interested. As far as I know it works, but you will have to rebuild the LPC for the chip, and you wont  be able to do the RAM upgrade, if you were thinking of doing that in the future. I have my 1.4 board(TSOP iND Bios 5003.67), that I need to find some money for cheap ram chips for it, as the chips on the 1.6 are hynix, and are not transferable to an xbox with samsung ram(Which is why I kept it to begin with). I was thinking about seeing if Trusty is around, and getting the CPU upgraded also. Not sure I want that mod though, as it causes issues with some games running too fast.

Thanks for the offer, I'll let you know after I get into it. But I think I can salvage it as long as I didn't burn the power supply board out. Might even do it this weekend since it's a 3 day'r. I could use my X3 on a 1.6, just uses a dif xecuter bios.

I've heard about some games speeding up after the upgrade, but you might be able to patch the xbe's. Someone made a patcher for CPU upgrades and shared it here .

edit: If you can't track down trustyty@hotmail, maybe N64 freak can do it, but he's in Germany so...

  10. Clock cap wouldnt stop it from booting, unless there was some serious corrosion from the cap on the board. I just did one of these the other day for my brother in law, and it still booted with the stock bios just fine. I still flashed the TSOP, as it makes it easier for things like bigger HDDS, and nice error messages, assuming you come across an error, and not having to have the HDD locked. ;) in my experience, 90% of OG Xbox issues stem around the HDD, and not the motherboard.

I won't know for sure till I crack it open again. At first it was popping the reset on the power adapter, so I ordered a new one from back east. Still popping it though. That's why I figured it's either the power connector on the power supply board (since it's a v1) or corrosion from the cap. I don't think it's a hdd issue.

Worst case I'll swap my X3 to a new MB and be done with it.

Edit: come to think of it, it did boot after I received the new power adapter, but only once. Next time I tried it wouldn't boot. First thing I'll check is for a flakey power connector since those were the reason M$ issued the power adapters in the first place, iirc.

  11. Yeah, they treat me great, considering I quit them 6 yrs. ago and they called me back. Hearing aids are still a pretty niche industry and techs take time to train.

I think I'll get a PSIO and wait till I can find time for it. I also have to repair my OG Xbox that's not booting atm. I think the power connector finally pooped out and needs to be resoldered... Could be the clock cap that I never removed though, lolz.

  12. I've been sitting on one that I got from a member on RMS, doesn't play CDs unless it's upside down lolz.

I wanted PSIO when it was released, but since I wasn't working I had no money. Now I have plenty of money but no time to spend on it... Or my 360, PS2, PS3 etc. I should probably just order it and sit on it too before it goes extinct.

  13. They originally talked about making one for both types I believe. It would've required a lot more wires/soldering if you did not have the parallel port. But I think they dropped that and only built one for PP PS1's.
It's been a while since I visited their site so I can't tell you for certain, but if you check what they are selling in the link on the first page, you should have your answer.

  14. Found it I think - go to "Setup" >> "Skins" >> press X >> under General setting unselect "Enable Aura Background Animation"

Yeah, I think you can disable the background animation for the main screen, but to disable animation on individual tabs it's probably going to have to be a custom or edited skin. I remember that bugged me when I first installed FSD too.

  15. Maybe I'll get to animated eventually, but for right now, I'm just looking to add a plain ol' ordinary background image to Aurora. I've got my 1280x720 .png file ready, but I have no idea where to put it.

I found a tutorial for making animated skins, but that was extremely complicated and a lot more than I needed.

I succeeded and got my loading screen done, but can't figure out how to do a background image.

Like I said, nothing fancy, just a static image.

A cookie for whoever can help!

    Thanks in advance.

If all you really need to do is add a background image, then why not add it to Aurora's Background folder and be done with it, like shown here

  16. Great job felida, thanks for your work trying to discover new ways to bring things to Aurora. Looks great!

I would consider moving the IP box to the lower right though (or upper right, ctr, etc.), as it obscures the covers in Rising Phoenix coverflow ATM. Still, keep up the good work, we all appreciate your efforts.
