"502 Bad Gateway" means the connection to the internal server isn't working as it's supposed to, which is basically due to the SQL database which is under heavy load (more then the current server can handle at times), the SQL Server feed both the forum and LiNK, LiNK users often feel entitled to just hammer the server when they can't connect (they'll attempt to force their way in which ultimately results in a worse experience for everyone else)

I was thinking about it and something came into my mind... What if the folder contains a DLC? Are they also containing the name of the game or they just contain their name but not the games. Do you know anything about it?

They contain the DLC name, but, given the ID, the name of the game could be looked up aswell (the TitleID the DLC is for is in the DLC package)

Yes I know I don't have it always set like that. That was just a last ditch effort. And no non of the sites tell you how to forward ports for a machine that is connected to the net through a computer useing ICS (Internet Connection Sharing). I have been through quite a few different sites and none of them even come close to telling me what to do in my scenario. my IP is 192.168.8.103 and you can see my IP for my xbox is completely different not even in the same string and my router only lets me forward ports only on IPs that are within the same string.

That's because it's not possible... why are you even connecting it like that?!

If anything you have to configure your computer to act as a bridge, not a secondary router

Since UWP was available the first thing I thought was just to edit it to access the restricted area of the Xbox. Unfortunately, having not enough time and sufficient knowledge in the field of computer science I could not blur my idea.

Of course with the ODK we can do everything we want but if people like Xenomega don't post their exploits in time the future of a CFW on XB1 is very far.

Just because it wasn't published for everyone to see doesn't mean he didn't share it with his friends in the scene, for example i already knew about this before this post was made, and i don't know dave, a friend of mine mentioned how i could get hold of my savegames... originally the filemanager wasn't even available without a hack itself...

Besides, with news coming out that there are exploits that don't require you to be a rocket scientist even if patched already means those that feel like they have nothing to come with might try stupid ideas they might have which in the end may prove to be exactly what we need...

Hi, this news is incredible but l don't understand what means:

"Patched as of 5/5/2017: 10.0.15063.2022 (RS2_RELEASE_XBOX_1704.170501-1052). Thus in accordance with responsible disclosure".

Maybe it means that this exploit is patched with the update of the 5/5/2017?

In this case it would be useless and why make the exploit public once the microsoft has patched it?

Anyone can help me to understand?

    Thanks in advance

That's exactly what it means, and it's a way for hackers to stay "safe", disclosing information about exploits to the public before the company has been notified and given a chance to fix it means the hacker that found the exploit can be held responsible for damage caused by the exploit...

Lets say in the future I were to burn the contents of the xbla to dvd. Would I need the original default.xex or the one in the xbla for it to work from dvd?

You would need the original ISO if you'd be planning on using it with iXtreme (flashed DVDDrive) otherwise you'd need the launcher XEX  (the one that's useless for you right now)

  7. 20 hours ago, Jack Ng Khai Jie said:

SO meaning the default.xex is useless if it is on the hard drive and not on dvd? That might explain why i cant launch the default.xex of the walking dead. Should I delete the default.xex? Would its absence affect anything, like title updates?

Yes, and no, it would make no difference for TU's... the TU's are applied to the default.xex inside of the XBLA package ;)

  8. The Xbox 360 Kernel looks for a file named "Default.xex" for every game, this is what it then executes, with XBLA on DVD's you have the XBLA package and a launcher (the default.xex you mentioned), this launcher don't work anywhere other then from a DVD, when you extract a DVD with XBLA games you usually find a "Content" folder, this is the actual game, structured the same as it should be on the HDD

could you tell me the response FSD will actually wait for? its just an response that could be delievered by a local httpd. ;)
in fact i dont believe somebody would patch it out of fsd and i dont have any clue to change things in in FSD, but i can build httpd for me.

    little php thing..

Hook up your console to a laptop or something and capture the traffic with wireshark, that's what i do when i need to see traffic from a console :) (such as while i was dumping Xbox 360 updates, i used to capture the traffic by using my laptop as a virtual wifi router running wireshark on the ethernet port to capture all traffic, i didn't need this tho as i was able to extract the update data from a USBMU back when i was doing this, despite people saying it couldn't be done anymore)

First: I didn't call you idiot. Let's try to calm down and avoid insulting (I am really surprised I have to ask the forum administrator about it).

Second: I don't ask to support FSD. I just ask to set the server in the way it will not crash it. Closing crash window and cleaning crash logs is annoying. I don't ask for Link, JQE360 or something else - OK, FSD is discontinued, new features will not come - well, disable it, but without crashes. Is it possible?

Third: I will not discuss stability and popularity of FSD without clear statistics. Because I have another point of view, but sure you won't believe it.

Fixing the server to fix FSD is supporting FSD...

    Ok nevermind...

My friend had bought a 250 Gb Xbox 360 Slim that had been already RGHed and didn't want to tell me the truth (he tought that it would make me mad... as I could care about it ^^; ). When I had launched FSD for a tenth time, I saw that the internal HDD got 250 Gb and could tell that something was wrong (it's way more than 4 Gb isn't it ?).

Thanks a lot for trying to help me, your S360NF is indeed flawless because I could update the kernel just fine XD

    Yes, 250GB is ~62 times bigger then 4GB ;)

That's exactly what I've said: why did you break FSD before Aurora becomes a stable release? Was it really impossible to build Aurora communication with server without breaking it in FSD?  REALLY impossible - or simply nobody cares?

It had nothing to do with Aurora, incase you didn't notice, we've completely changed the forum and everything, this runs on the same server... besides that, nobody in the team cares about FSD anymore...

    23 minutes ago, gjf said:

It was really fun - for what I should donate? For one broken product, that you didn't even develop - or for the second beta that lacks features I like?

Or everybody in this forum who asks for support, complaining, asking for additional features except screaming "Wow, Aurora is the best!!!111!" donate to you?

Try to put licensing feature in Aurora in this case - it would be fun to see licensing in the product for pirated consoles.

Guys, please calm down and just try to understand me. I am not going to say that you are doing a bad job. I am not going to say "stop Aurora, FSD is the best". It's not the best, but it is the most popular and working. You are trying to develop a better product - thank you, best wishes, wow - you are the heroes (I'm not kidding here), but PLEASE - don't break the most popular and working product BEFORE you will release a competitor.

I never said you had to donate NOW, you could've donated earlier, when you clearly loved FSD, did you? nope! you said so yourself...

I don't care if people donate or not, but, if you're only here to cause trouble and/or complain about old outdated software we don't want anything to do with you, and you are NOT entitled to being a general pain in the ass about our decision to not continue FSD development which you pretty much demand in this whole post... and quite frankly, FSD isn't all that popular anymore, only a handful of people such as yourself cling to that old dashboard, most that do don't know about Aurora or are afraid to change anything... you on the other hand know how to replace FSD with Aurora, you are also not afraid of change, you just don't like what we decided to do...

we didn't break FSD when Aurora was released, it worked for quite a while, Aurora has been out for years, only NOW you start asking for help fixing a problem that from what i can tell is pretty recent... we've been trying to tell you that FSD isn't supported anymore, and for that you respond in a rude manner saying we're idiots for releasing Aurora and not supporting the old software that was never "STABLE" like you say it is/was, you fail to see the evidence right infront of you that it is infact NOT stable

  13. 2 hours ago, gjf said:

I really don't understand. If nothing was changed neither in dashboard nor in server - why this crash appeared?

I was pretty sure the server was changed.

Yes, the server has changed, the domain probably stopped pointing to anything in particular... we've changed alot with the server over the years, and it's been many years since FSD was discontinued...

Honestly, since you didn't donate anything, neither time nor money, you're not really allowed to complain about our course of actions... most of the developers behind FSD are working on Aurora, one of the reasons for leaving FSD behind was the fact that the code for that is a mess, there's been alot of people that has come and gone working on that project, releasing one final "stable" version wouldn't be feasible as you suggest we do/did...

No, i didn't develop anything for FSD, but i did do other things that you probably don't do (do you do anything beyond copying files and playing games?)

I'm a poweruser, meaning i do things that regular users don't do with my console(s), this may have been why FSD was so unstable for me, idk, it has nothing to do with my status as a developer tho... even so, i didn't work on FSD at all back in the day... i didn't even know most of the people that worked on it back then, i know most of them now tho as i'm part of the Aurora development team...

The feature you speak of in FSD (SMB) was connected to ConnectX, and that IS available in Aurora aswell, just it says "Connectx" instead of "SMB" i believe (been a while since i used connectx on my console, hell, been a while since i used Aurora actually, haven't even touched my Xbox 360 in ages due to a lack of time

You comparing us to Microsoft isn't fair, Microsoft have thousands of employee's, we're a handful of people working on this... also, they didn't make Windows XP "Free", they just stopped selling the license and probably stopped caring about illegal copies... there isn't a official application or whatever that removes the need for a license and there probably never will be either...

  14. 2 hours ago, gjf said:

I don't know in the same way that I don't know why it (connectx) cannot display unicode named files and folders on share.

That's why I am surprised the developers did not put any network exploring ability in Aurora. No smb - OK, but maybe some built-in ftp client? Or at least FXP support in built-in ftp server (but for sure the client would be the best). Double copy from router to PC and then from PC to XBOX is the only solution for me now - and maybe you can understand my mood.

Yeah, I can switch between Aurora and Fsd for copying, but guys, is it only me who thinks it's ridiculous to have one old dashboard to add missing features to newer one?

Yes, maybe more important things are in work for Aurora, but in this case please don't call FSD beta and Aurora - release.

P.S. Maybe some other connectx version exists that differs from mine? Can you provide a hash sum of working connectx addon file?

Nobody claimed Aurora to be "release" or "stable", they're both Beta... whether you like that or not doesn't matter... Aurora is however more stable then FSD ever was

    Hello there.

I've gat some sort of weird issues...
I'm trying to update the kernel of a RGHed Corona (kernel 17150) to 17511.

I don't have my CPU key and NAND anymore so I've launched S360NF 1.4b to retrieve my key and dump my NAND but... the app doesn't launch the rawdump4G v1 and use the regular rawdump instead.

I've tried the update process all the way to reinject it in the Xbox 360 but it failed (even XeBuild doesn't say anything about the big/small block thing)...

Is there any way to force the rawdump4G process ?

    Thanks !

Rawdump4G is only for 4GB Corona consoles, it detects these to the best of my knowledge flawlessly, what happens when you do dump the nand with the software as-is? do you get an error? if so - i need to know more about the error to possibly update/fix it

Just as I said before: it is clearly server-based error.

I understand they changing servers for Aurora, but why it is necessary to break all good working FSD?

If it was server based, it'd not crash F3, F3 simply can't handle the server not responding with what it expects, infact, that domain is probably not even active anymore...

We didn't "break good working FSD", FSD wasn't "good working", it was barely working at all, when i used it back in the day i got it to crash all the time... therefor i rarely ever used it... Aurora rarely ever crashes, and since 0.5b i think it was, you CAN easily select to show only apps, only Xbox 360 games etc. so your argument there is flawed, probably as you haven't bothered testing a more recent version?

    4 hours ago, gjf said:

Damn, it's quite tricky way to push users to Aurora.

One can either use FSD with flooding error logs (any way to disable it cause the error itself doesn't influence on the work?) or use beta of Aurora.

Yes, it is not so bad, but I miss a user-friendly menu with separate games and apps, I really miss a normal smb-client so I can copy games from my router share (connectx does not support unicode symbols in folder names and quite unstable when copying in Aurora explorer).

Damn it, really it is a bad move.

Did FSD really have a SMB Client? i thought it only had a server, not client... (besides connectx which for the record is from microsoft, it's from a XDK nand, patched to work on retail)

Nobody is forcing you to use Aurora, however it's highly recommended that you do as support for FSD has officially ended, there will not be any further official updates, you can use this https://github.com/Gualdimar/fsd4ever to create a patched FSD that allows you to get covers, i've even been nice enough to provide a local server you can run on your PC to have covers working properly from unity...

Oh and please, stop multi-posting, just edit your last post if you have something to add yes?

I didn't like the interface too, when it was released. But i changed my mind.

There is also skinning support for Aurora, you can make your own UI for Aurora if you'd like, but few people know how or care to do so...
