moses_373 151 Posted May 30, 2014 the laser in your dvd tray is dying/dead. This is a fairly common problem in game consoles, DVD players, cd roms etc. A laser is somewhat comparable to a battery, after a while, they just get worn out and are no longer useful. New lasers cost about $10 on ebay (be sure you get the one for your specific drive) and there are abundant tutorials on how to install them via google. Unless you changed something recently it's caused by the laser beeing worn out or the discs beeing to scratchy to be read, it can also be caused by the laser getting stuck (due to dust) these are all common factors which happens to retail consoles aswell Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
