medion 0 Posted June 1, 2014 Hi there, I recently updated my FSD to rev. 755 after updating my kernkel/dash to 16747. The updates went without a hitch, everything looks good and works well except one thing. My password to JQE had disappeared during the updating process and while I went to type it in again I noticed that I can't do anything on the prompt itself. I can't select any characters, I can't even move the marker, all I can do is push the home button to return to the setup menu. What I've tired so far; Clear cache Tried another skin (using default normally) Cold boot I greatly appreciate any and all help.
Swizzy 2085 Posted June 1, 2014 Try a "Clean install"
medion 0 Posted June 1, 2014 Try a "Clean install" That's actually a really good suggestion. I'll be right back with the result.
medion 0 Posted June 1, 2014 Well I tried a clean install of FSD3 rev. 775 with the same result; I can't input anything into the text prompt. I booted into NXE and it worked just fine. (Renamed my Xbox's hostname). I really don't have a clue why this is going on, I have the lastest dashlaunch, FSD and kernel. Is there a way to get some more info for debugging? Try unloading dashlaunch, maybe some option there is causing issues for you, other then that there isn't much you can try to figure it out after making a clean install... :/
medion 0 Posted June 1, 2014 Try unloading dashlaunch, maybe some option there is causing issues for you, other then that there isn't much you can try to figure it out after making a clean install... :/ I'm pretty new into this whole RGH/JTAG thing. What does unload mean? It just pulls itself away from the NAND? Would NXE then be the default dash when booting?

medion 0 Posted June 2, 2014 Unloaded dashlaunch and went into the freshly installed FSD3 but it didn't help either. Just out of pure desperation I tried with another skin (r775-ready) but that didn't work either. It feels like I'm missing something.
Swizzy 2085 Posted June 3, 2014 You also have the same issue with the default skin? and all settings as defaults?
medion 0 Posted June 3, 2014 You also have the same issue with the default skin? and all settings as defaults? Yes. I tried to reset everything in the skin and use the default skin, to no avail. I tried this with both the FSD installed originally on my internalMU and the clean copy installed on my internal HDD, same result.
l2360 0 Posted September 18, 2014 i had the same problem. for me it was that i generally only use my wifi controller which annoyingly always player2. fsd3 only lets controller 1 use text prompts. so what i did is unplug my cable controller. now my wifi controller is #1 and i can use it in fsd. it also only lets you login to your profile if the controller is #1. figured this out by accident. also somebody should fix this. maybe this will help
