Changing the drive in an external caddy?

I have one of the earlier 360s that has a 120gb drive that slots onto the side / top of the console. The Xbox itself is rgh modded.

How easy would it be to open the caddy holding the 120gb drive and replace said drive with a 500gb one that currently resides in my PS3?

I can see I need a Torx screwdriver to open the caddy, but do I need to prepare the drive in any way? Is there something that needs to be on there for it to work with the 360?

You'll need a T6 and a T10 screwdriver, other then that it's just: format it in the menu...

Of course you'll also need a PH1 screwdriver to get the drive out of your ps3's caddy

Nope, RGH/JTAG don't need to hack the harddrive, but it will not work on a retail console...

Oh marvellous. I thought it was going to be a massive faff to do, but it looks like I just need my Torx screwdrivers to arrive from eBuyer and I'm away.
