xew 0 Posted March 17, 2014 Hey guys, love the Freestyle guide, but I'd like to launch by default directly to a different xex. Is there anyway I can by default on start up keep the freestyle guide, but at the same time launch to a different dash? - I don't really want to have to boot F3 separately on every boot just to get the guide. I've considered running F3 as a plugin and seeing if that works but I'm not sure. Please let me know guys. Regards.
Swizzy 2084 Posted March 17, 2014 I don't think what you're asking for would work, because in order for the F3 plugin to run properly it needs to be started by F3... and to do that you need to start F3... which doesn't let you autostart something else after... I was referring to adding F3 as a dashlaunch plugin. To my understanding, dl plugins just launch an executable xex in the background while booting, which in turn, would load the F3 guide, just not the actual dashboard by default. Again, I'm unsure and I could be completely wrong, but I'm just guessing. Wasn't referring to F3 plugins though.

I don't think it'll work because dashlaunch starts the plugins in a different way then the other types of applications, and there is no method for F3 to load without loading the entire thing (showing graphics etc. etc.)
