RGH Freestyle 3 without DVD drive

if i unplug my DVD drive  Freestyle 3 wont load when i start my Xbox360 falcon

i dont need the DVD drive,  is there anyway to safely remove it?

If you're looking to create more room for a hard drive or whatnot, you could always strip the drive and just leave the drives logic board in place.  However, don't they have a no DVD drive option when you build your Nand image with freeboot?

If you got a jumper you could do this. When you look at where the drive plugs in it looks a bit like this

***** top **** bottom

the top row has five pins the bottom row has four pins

you want to put the jumper on the first two pins on the bottom row with the empty space just to the left of the jumper

It will look like this

***** - top

 xx** - bottom

The x's being the jumper

i do not know of any Nand image... i'm new to xbox360 and modding

i got my xbox360 3 weeks ago and it's modded RGH

i want to make it quieter and put 2-3 fans in place of the DVD, it's a falcon and was fixed of RROD 2 months ago
