Hmm, I can't understand what's changed then? I'll check my wirings still ok then I'll have to start back on the dips, all possible combinations. It's gonna take ages!

@static puss: I feel like I nearly got my falcon working but after my little incident with the dvd drive.... it's got me thinking I've damaged something. I could do with troubleshooting the cr4 to see if there's something wrong with it first. Once I know it's ok it would be a case of trying every dip and post bit combo which would take ages!

Thanks, console boots stock ok. Is it possible that the cr4 took damage? (also just tried dvd drive and that seems to work ok, got dmc 5 running at the min)

I can't get the console to boot at all now, even with the mobo taken out of the shell and previous working dips I'm just writing the stock nand back to see if I can get it working stock. Do I unsolder just the red wire or do I do the green one aswell? Thanks.

Not sure what drive model, I'll have a look shortly. I might take the motherboard back out of the case, unplug the DVD drive and try a dip combination that I know worked. Just to make plugging the drive in wrong hasn't damaged anything else.

I always like a challenge but this is now becoming ridiculous, is there anyone on this forum who can complete this r-jtag+ cr4 install for me? (for money of course). I'd just like to see it assembled and working and more so I'd want to know where I was going wrong. Thanks.

Yes I smelt slight burning, will this mean it won't read discs? It still ejects but I can't get the console on yet to test.

Thanks I swapped the dvd power lead round and it's back on! getting closer to a working r-jtag+ now, just going through all the dips now (again)...sigh!

Ok thanks will have a look, it seems like one thing after another with this thing. Although just been using aurora and it worked brill so all this messing has been worth it.

I have my xbox in it's metal case with dvd drive connected and now I'm faced with 3 red rings? But it's ok without the drive connected, I'm sure the drive was ok when out of the metal case though. Has anyone seen this problem before? Thanks.

Ha Ha, I really need to start looking before posting, I managed to get 1,1,1,1...etc rater results but with xbox not assembled (god knows why as it's only gonna cause more headaches!) I must just love pain lol!

Hi, After tidying up my soldering in a bid to sort a problem falcon I now get a red rol light (bottom right). This did not happen straight after the soldering though, it took about 30mins of non booting while on rater. Has anyone seen this problem before? Thanks.

Turns out when not running rater and jr programmer is unplugged my Xbox won't glitch at all. At this point I'm thinking of paying someone to diagnose and sort this problem and tell me where I went wrong. Any takers?

I tried the console this morning and I couldn't get it to glitch. Last night I was getting a boot within roughly 10 glitches, clearly something is not quite right. I'll assemble everything back into the case and try again tonight. From having dips 3 and 6 on, what would be a good idea to try? Maybe 4 & 6 or maybe more than two dips on at a time....please could you advise?

Thank you, also before I create my XeBuild, I noticed in the bottom left hand of J-Runner there is no XeBuild version number. 1) Should I download the latest XeBuild 1.17 and update jrunner. 2) My Xbox is on Dash 17489, can I choose 17502 and create XeBuild, then write or do I have to keep it on 17489?

Ok thanks for that, ran it through rater. Got a more consistent (non) boot if that makes any sense. Might be time for a slim.
