    you need to give your xbox a static IP. 

    Right now you have it on automatic so it will changet. Go to network settings on dash and set it to manual. First make note of the default gateway as you will need to set that as well

     

    set your ip to 192.168.1.7 there and it will not change again

    I am just happy having the ability to play online with many of you

     

    Would it be nice to play games online that do not have link capabilities? Yes...but it is not like that is not possible...you just have to pay for it.

    If people really want to have those features then put your money where your mouth is. Not trying to be rude...but people act like it is not a possibility.

    Thank you for making this topic. I was wondering about this too.

     

    You will have to take out your external and connect it to your PC. You will have to boot with clonezilla by mounting it on a usb or something. 

     

    I have tried with acronis and such, but like BL4K3Y said...it cannot pick up fatx partitions. Bline clone will be your way to go. I am also going to do this tonight.

    you cannot have DMZ on and port forward at the same time. you need to set port forward for TCP and UDP to your xbox's ip

    Do not give your xbox an alternate mac address...that has nothing to do with it.

     

    What I have to do with some routers is port forward twice...example:

    1000 - 1001 for TCP and 1000 - 1001 for UDP & set IP as your xbox's ip

     

    Some routers that works okay...but others you have to set it as follows

    1000 - 1000 for TCP and 1000 - 1001 for UDP & set IP as your xbox's ip

    make another one

    1001 - 1001 for TCP and 1001 - 1001 for UDP & set IP as your xbox's ip

     

    It all depends on your router. 

    (Note that you can limit control for teamviewer and turn it off so they cannot connect again...he was just trying to offer help...)

     

    send a screen shot of your port forwarding settings so we can help further

    I know there is a list of games being played on link, but is there one for the arcade games?

    I saw some posts about people playing some...So if anyone can post the game that they use on link maybe we can make it a bit more active

     

    I have a few and would be cool to play some people on them

    OK, here is some extra info:

     

    1) My Dash/Kernel is currently 16202.

    2) I have assigned a Static IP address to my xbox through it's settings -Should I instead clear it's settings and rather set it up through my router?

    Note however that for that I do not know where to even begin.

    3) I do realize I only need 2 ports forwarded, I forwarded 4 ports simply out of frustration - Set for both TCP and UDP. I Originally tried forwarding just ports 3071 and 3072, Which didn't work either.

    4) When testing LINK I get a "Upnp enabled router not found". (I was supposed to mention this in my first post - this was an oversight on my part)

    The weather isn't too much of a big deal and I am dead certain I am using an ordinary network cable.

    I have even tried using wireless - which gives the exact same results.

     

    I will see if I can assign the IP address for my xbox manually from my router and see if that helps.

     

    Otherwise is there any other things that could cause this? Like something to do with my RGH settings or Dashlaunch (I have Livestrong=False, Liveblock=True).

    I have Upnp enabled on my router and it still says that it is not - does not give me an issue when i connect to Link or anything. Are you playing your games off the external too?

     

    If you are then there is a workaround for the title updates

    Hello, I just got FSD 3.0 with link today and it's updated. I can see games and players online but for some reason when I want to play Gears of War Judgement it keeps saying I need TU2. I've downloaded multiple versions of it but it keeps saying I am using TU1. I've tried activating each update individually and running the game, but nothing.

    Any idea what the cause might be? The updates are region free and they have the same ID as my TU1 so I think that's ok.

    I was able to find one game but got kicked eventually because there were only 2 or 3 people.

    Any help would be appreciated, thanks :)

    Here is what I do...I download the title update manually from here: http://www.xbuc.net/

    Then download the horizon program...plug in your external drive...sorry this is assuming you are using an external...and then I inject the update into my external and voial!

     

    Just make sure you match up the region of your game to the update your are dowloading
