  1. Do you have a launch.ini on the usb? A "Games" folder on the same device as XEXMenu can make it crash on load...

    Sent from my SM-G903F

Ya I have, is it fine if the path is: Default = Usb:\Aurora\Aurora.xex?(no number after "Usb").

Which is the correct version of xexmenu? I see I have 1.2

EDIT. I got everything set up, thanks for the help :D

  2. Add a folder named "Content" on it and it should show up as configured...

I found that the drive was marked as Logical, when I changed it to Primary it was detected, but now I have another problem... If I have the hdd connected and switch on the xbox, it doesn't boot into Aurora and if I try to boot xexmenu, then it crashes to nxe with a 'Fatal error intercepted', if I remove the hdd and launch xexmenu and then put in the hdd, then I am able to boot into aurora as normal. How do I fix this?

  3. I have an xbox without any internal storage, I tried plugging in my external 1TB hard drive that I've used before but it's saying 'Unformatted' and if I press 'Customise', it says the device isn't formatted or the format isn't recognised, ''to continue all content will be removed'', what do I do? I put xexmenu on a flash and even it can't see the external...

  4. Yes, you select Retail/Stock

I would recommend using hardware, you'll need it to get back to the hacked state anyways...

I don't have the necessary equipment, is it possible via Xell?

So you mean once I flash to the retail NAND, the only way to get back to the hacked state is via hardware? Is there no alternative? I have no idea how or why this has happened.

  5. You reflash it with hardware... and if you have a backup of the original nand (before you hacked your console) you can use that otherwise you have to build one using xeBuild GUI, JRunner or similar (not sure if JRunner even have a build mode for retail?)

You have to open the xbox yes, otherwise you cannot lift post_out

In xeBuild GUI, I must choose under build type: Retail Stock? Everything else remains the same?

Also once I create the NAND, I have to use hardware to flash the NAND? Because Xell is showing up.

Someone else rghed my xbox and he's long gone.

  6. You might be having a hardware issue the glitching hides, try restoring your NAND to retail and lifting post_out from the chip, if everything is OK with the hardware, the console should at that point boot up normally

How do I restore the NAND? Nothing is showing up on display, do I have to open the xbox?

Do I create it with J-runner? And flash it with rawflash or Xell?

EDIT: I booted up with Xell but

  7. Hi guys, today I've had the weirdest thing happen, at first I thought it's the hdd I installed internally but after removing it, the same thing happens: When I switch on the Xbox I hear it glitches and then I noticed, the lights did not flash as it normally does when starting up, the light corresponding to my controller just switches on and then the screen stays blank, I tried it without HDMI and without the controller but the same thing happens

  8. This means that this drive is not a good one, one that shouldn't be trusted...

You should be able to see the HDD if you go to the "Computer Management" -> "Disk Management" screen, you just won't be able to work with the contents of the drive...

I see it under disk management.

EDIT. Just as I read your reply I connected it as a USB (thinking it will work as an 'official' external hdd - is this possible?), then switched the xbox off and connected it back as a HDD, it now works, I think it was overworked from moving 920GB off and then putting most back in the space of ~24 hours.

  9. This is talking about the EXTERNAL devices, the internal is STILL using XTAF

With that in mind, no you can't use it as-is with the internal slot...

I formatted it on the Xbox and started to put stuff on, while using it froze and now a Red light appears at the power button everytime the drive is connected, I also got an E68 Error, it just freezes at the xbox logo with the drive connected, if I connect it to the pc, it loads up and I can safely eject it, though I cannot see it, but that's because  of the format on the xbox, please help me, i need my hdd

  10. As long as you have a JTAG or RGH you can use any 2.5" SATA HDD as an internal HDD, you have to format it in the console tho, so any data you have on it will be lost...

This has been possible since day 1 basically...

With the new kernel there's no actual formatting, all the Xbox does is it creates a 0000000000000000 folder and allows the entire drive to be used (no 32GB limit), I already did it on the same external hdd. So if I now connect it internally would it not just work? I really don't want to move 920GB of data.

The space where the hdd goes is just a space, I saw other videos where they put it in some kind of enclosure and then fit it into the xbox, how do install the hdd?

    This is missing: http://www.dx.com/p/portable-2-5-hdd-enclosure-case-for-xbox-360-slim-black-130108

  11. I have seen many games now require an internal HDD drive to play games, I tried previously to find a WD hdd in my country but to no avail. I want to know now that there is no 32GB limit on storage devices, if I take my external Toshiba hdd and insert it internally would it work as an internal hdd?

  12. 0.1 version? Why you are using an outdated version?

 I logged on after a long time and saw 04 July at the top and thought that a 'new' version of Aurora was posted under Aurora Releases, I saw 0.1a and thought someone got  their naming schemes wrong  :startle:

EDIT: I hope you will implement from another thread where the OP wanted the bottom panel transparent, as great as your theme looks I believe it will look better if there wasn't a box round the buttons which is the case on all Aurora themes. I would do it from your instructions but I really don't want to re-download the SDK again... So please if you have time, many of us would appreciate it, thank you for all your hard work.

  13. UPnP is a technology the router either has or doesnt, as it is a software package on the router, the ISP doesnt matter here. It isnt important if the ports pass, and the only time I use it is when I am somewhere I cant configure the ports.

I see, but my router does have UPnP, I did enable it, uTorrent works, so did Acestream, it's only Aurora that's not connecting via UPnP, my current ISP shapes me so badly that during the day the speeds are a measly ~15KB/s! I wouldn't put it past them to block ports, I randomize my ports on uTorrent so perhaps that's one reason that it works via UPnP. But it doesn't matter now as LiNK's working through port forwarding, so thanks to everyone for all their help :thumbsu:

  14. LiNK works without UPNP also, that test can be ignored if the ports pass, did you start a game before you checked System Link?

You need to edit the database to move games from XBLA/Kinect, but, Kinect is just an additional flag...

The UPnP part still fails but I went into Borderlands 2 and it works now, I think my ISP's doing soemthing, I'm going to leave them and see if it changes.

So I can't move a game to a the Xbox 360 games section like in FSD or has the entire structure changed? It's just that games like Ghost Recon: Future Soldier have almost no Kinect capabilities( just a small part where you can assemble/disassemble a gun) and I'd hoped there was a way you could move it, n

  15. Ok, sorry... my memory failed me, maybe it was FSD that had it the other way around? anyways... i got the same result as you (almost, UPNP pass on mine as mine is active and working) so, it could be a server problem causing it to not work as expected... i rebooted my console after clearing the upnp tho, and it works now... try again?

Also try other ports, see if that makes a difference?

Now all passed except for the UPnP one after I set everything to Automatic under Xbox Dash -> Network Settings. But System Link is still greyed out, can I do something to skip UPnP and connect to Link?

Ok it's all right now, once again thank you so much Swizzy, I entered Gears of War judgment and I see link connected, one final question how do I move an XBLA/Kinect game to XBox 360 games?
