Ugh and now my profile is "corrupted" it works till I try to start a game. This is becoming a headache. Kinda wish things just worked. Yea your xuid is also only 15 char. Mine is pretty similar. But it's seems it's not an xuid issue but a region issue. I have been reading a lot of forums and from what I can find it seems that the dlc is region locked tighter than a virgin in a whore house on payday.. Now I just have to figure out how to get around that.. It seems I have a region 1 profile and region 2 game/dlc and that is apparently the issue. In le fluffie it looks like 15 char Long I can only assume that it's supposed to be 16 I really have no clue what I'm doing Sent from my Kyocera -Duraforce using Tapatalk OK it seems to a region error according to this http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/681989-lightning-returns-final-fantasy-xiii/69605839 Although it doesn't seem to give me any answers as to how to fix it. I actually thought about that and got a PAL version of the xex and it's still the same issue that the game recognized the dlc and allows me to "purchase" the items but the "sprite" never loads . BTW Swizzy, this is the first time I have ever heard about xuid . how do I check that and fix if necessary. Sent from my Kyocera -Duraforce using Tapatalk

So I am just gonna be blunt. I have no idea what the problem is. I have been on a FFXIII kick lately and played the first one no problem ( even 1000/1000 GS ) then I had the whole default.xex thing happen. Worked for weeks trying to figure it out. Then I played ffxiii-2 had loads of dlc ( mostly all the out fits but also the arena, casino and Val halla ) and the show up but will never load. So I just play through the game and ignore it. Now I am playing LR -FFXIII and I have a bunch of dlc for this one too but same problem. At first I thought maybe it was because I had the NTSC-U version and my DLC was PAL but I got ahold of a PAL xex for this one and it's doing the same thing. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I realize that these dlc are really only a reskin and serve little more than atheistic purpose but would really like them to work.. I want to play as Cloud. OK I can "safely" say that I think I have an idea what may have caused this headache. In xm360 there is the ability to patch all. I believe that this was used to unlock xbla but I think it was used on my games folder causing the corrupted/modified xex files. Although I may be wrong it is the only thing I can think of that would have caused all of my xex files to have been "modified"

OK so as I can just safely sat that I really don't many of the discs anymore but I will deal with that another time. I do have a question thou. Is there a program or a way to check if a default.xex has been modified orin some way altered?

Well now comes the point where I get to feel like a total idiot. Occam's razor seems to be in full effect here as well. After having g gone through everything I could think of and everything that was suggested ( no matter how difficult or time consuming) I think I MAY have finally come up with an answer to this.. Today I grabbed one of my game discs and ripped it to a flash drive. Downloaded the proper tu and for giggles gave it a go. It worked. So this leads me to believe that most (139ish) of my default.xex are altered in some way. However I can only think of 3 or 4 that I actually have done xex mods to. So I suppose I will be needing to get ahold of clean xex files for them. At least I think .....

Well I got fsd3/775, Aurora 0.5b, installed the dash updated, everything is current ( I think ) cleared the cache, formated the HDD ,redownloaded one of the tu's. and you are not going to believe this but its still exactly what has been happening since the beginning. I really don't know what to do from here. ( and yes Swizzy I have been using the Google machine a lot as well) I am really struggling with this. Any further ideas for me? Or a way I can download the fuses For you?

Yea that last message of mine, I was super tired. It was way past my bed time woke up this morning and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Lol I will get this one way or another

Updating the console hasn't been the issue. I got that done hours ago. It was a real pain bit I got it. As far as the fuses I can't download those with your tool. And unfortunately I have no idea how to do it otherwise. I could send the nand but without the fuses I don't know what good it would do. BTW I don't know if it matters but I had it rgh'd in early 2012 by a guy on game-tuts named Johnson. And I never thought anything was wrong with it. OK so I just thought of something after I formated the hdd and clearing the cache... How do I install my stuff again? I don't mean the back up I just made but the other stuff like fsd and Aurora and xexmenu and xell if I don't have a file manager

So is it bad? I don't know what that means with the different patchsets. I mean it works all the time. Except for the adding tu's and all

Yes actually I was using FTP. But just FYI I jumped back to fsd3 and tried to run one of the games with the TU active and no trainer it did the same kick back as Aurora has been. Ugh I just want to play the game. Just wanted to point out that I can't exactly just plug in a standard sata cable to the slim drive. My PC doesn't recognize the drive ( maybe because there is no power to it )

No that doesn't sound lengthy it is only like 135 gig backup. I will give it a shot and get back to ya in a few days when its done. Lol

OK so I did all that fun stuff. And I skipped the avatar stuff since Aurora doesn't use them for now anyway. Deleted all of my old Aurora file. So I have the newest dash and a fresh sett up of Aurora and I decided to give it a shot and it is still doing exactly what it was doing from the start. With the failing to load with the tu's. And I know that the games won't work with tu's if the default.xex has been modified. And I haven't modified these. Just ripped from the disc. And while I know it is possible for the tu's to be messed up from the download process but I find it hard to believe that all of them are messed up.

OK so I copied everything from my phone and typed in the CPU key I had on the screen. I then selected the 17489 dash and clicked to generate hacked image. Everything else seems to be working. But how ? Do I not need the actual update or is it included somewhere? BTW Swizzy it is a Trinity 250Gb I can send more info if needed.

OK I can see my CPU key, vcpu, and DVD key and an IP address but I try it and it tells me IP addresses is unreachable and I use the IP on my PC it tells me that it can't download the fuses.

OK so I got it to load but now its telling me that it can't download fuses from xell

Actually I just got it to load using xelllaunch but it instantly went crazy telling me that umlinux and something elf failed.... This is really turning into a headache. Thanks again for helping me struggle through this.

So I have one more quick question for ya ... How do I boot in xell if xell doesn't support HDMI and I don't have the other cables?

I am doing it now. One of my best friends tells me as long as I have a clean backup of my nand I can bring it back from any mistakes I might make here. I actually have my Xbox hard wired directly to my PC for FTP but I had tried using Wi-Fi for downloading the tu's at one point in time. And I would like to thank all of you for your help with this.
