    I release a new xeBuild GUI with the new dashboard along with a new version of xeBuild and Dashlaunch when we feel comfortable with releasing it, don't expect it to be released in the next few days as we're strongly anti XBL hacks, and the new dashboard don't add anything you really need TODAY (unless you are hacking on XBL)

    I already have the update on my computer, and it's not available for download on xbox.com yet ;)

    A little bit bad because I wanted to RGH the console of my friend and yeah... 17502 *thumb up with bad pokerface*

    I already tried to delete the update with LB,RB,X,... trick but didn't worked :/

    Can I still make the RGH2 and just flash the latest XeBuild?

    Never mind that M$ will release a new Version soo... how long have I to wait until a new Version will be released for my RGH2 and how can I update? I don't have a flasher or else...

    Hey Guys,

     

    I recently bough two xbox 360 (trinity 4gb and Falcon/Jasper) which should be dead because their owner teached me about dvd malfunctions.

    Small story to 4GB Trinity

    Drive wasn't able to read any Xbox 360 games.

    First try was to use compressed air and clean the laser-lens. FAILED unfortunately, even if I used another Xbox 360 game.

    Couple tries later, I tried to read a DVD which was detected and played without any error. So far I know, the Xbox 360 don't have something like "dual lens" or else which means, if it can read a DVD then there is something wrong with holograph-detector.

    I reseted the whole console (format, Guide + Y & RT, ...) and boom, suddenly it worked.

    I don't know how or why but I think that there was an error or malfunction in the system (update failed?)

    Drive won't get out/is stuck inside

    I know these problems, I'm well known in my computer shop for repairing drives which are stuck or won't open the tray.

    In this case, I had to open the Xbox 360 completely and clean it up to prevent any RROD (surprisingly, the dust didn't made inside the 360 but blocked any vents pretty well). Found the DVD drive and took it apart.

    Mainly, every drive have two mechanism:

    The first mechanism is a small rack railway, controlled by a gear on the front of the drive. Around the corner of the railway, way to the lens, is a small guide rail which is the heart of the mechanism. This rail lift/lowers the drive with the lens and unlocks the tray.

    The first gear which is connected to the rack railway should lower the drive inside and unlock the tray which is controlled by a longer transmission and another rack railway which push and pull the tray (second mechanism).

    At this point, you have to hear and feel the problem; if the gears are spinning and pushes the tray out then there is something wrong with small front rail, maybe damaged or moved a little bit which prevents to be fully unlocked by the front gears.

    But if the hear and feel that the tray won't move, even if you jiggle a little bit then pretty sure that this drive is done.

    If you (still) wanna to fix the drive, you can try to clean the teeth of any gear/railways and correct then with a file (be careful) and lubricate them all (I use motor-oil ^^ but butter does it too)

    If you have luck, the tray should then work as before. If not, then it's dead Jim...

    However, they are fixxed (paid 40€ for both ^^) and I want to softmod them.

    I heard that there is something called "Wave4 boot disc" and I want to know whether it's true or not before I waste a DVD DL.

    And if it's true, can I rly trick a non-jtaged/RGH xbox 360 to play any kind of backups?

    Hard to say, probably something has gotten corrupted on your HDD and that's causing the issue, try extracting everything to your computer and doing a complete format in the console, this will remove all contents from the drive... keep in mind, doing this will remove the Security Sectors if it's a retail HDD and the console is RGH/JTAG hacked meaning it won't work on a retail again until you re-write those sectors (probably with donor data)

     

    It's a 1TB drive, security sector already backed up but didn't restored, not necessary ^^

    Hi,

     

    last time I accidentally deleted my bootanim.xex (not my fault, I renamed the file instead of deleting and somewhere... I made a copy... but I don't know where xD Anyway, It looks like that the xbox detected the "unauthorized" file and tossed it) AND because I don't have a programmer and don't know how to flash a new ROM, I looked a little bit around and found out, that it's possible to "modify" the flash with Xbox Neighborhood.

     

    Downloaded, Installed, bla bla bla, I configured my Xbox with DashLaunch to load XBDM.xex, was able to copy a new bootanim.xex (Kernel 9199 xD) and then, I realized, that I was able to access the HDD of my xbox while a game is running.

     

    Couple days later, I tried it again but failed over and over so I unloaded the Plugin from DashLaunch.
    Now I wanted to load FTPDLL but unfortunately, DashLaunch doesn't load the complete HDD :o

    It stops loading after couple folders... I already installed DashLaunch again but didn't helped a lot...

    Any suggestions about this problem?

    Yeah :hope: ... I had the idea today that you can simply rewrite/tweak Windows MediaCenter to Capture your Xbox 360 .. i think that must be possible ?

    The Stream is Going from PC to the Xbox 360 but isnt there also a way to rewrite it so it works the other way ? All basics are there or not ?

     

    I suggest you the AverMedia Game Capture II (http://www.amazon.de/dp/B00F890KXU)

     

    Differences between Roxio/Elgato and AVerMedia is that AVM can record directly into a HDD or else in FullHD 60fps without any issues while most gamecaptures need a PC for saving which result depends by the specification of the PC. Secondly, you can upload your videos directly to youtube without any PC which means you can upload over night and don't need to let your pc stay awake.

    One big disadvantage: No streaming, but there are some newer modells from AVerMedia which support them now so check them out :)

    Hi,

    I wanna to request something which is often seen from emulators: Savestates.

    Reason: Who don't know that moment, you play something like Splinter Cell Conviction, there is a fight or something else and sometimes, you are tired about trying and failing the last part of a level before you can save.

    Happens oftenly in Alien Isolation or Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005) because... THE FUCKING GAME CRASHES SOMEWHERE AND I DUNNO HAVE A LOG ABOUT IT!...

    Ok... srsly... that's not so nice... but as mentioned before, there are many games where you can not safe there, where you want or make more than one safe... without any large sentences, it's possible because the RAM of the 360 is only 512mb big so in worst case, dumping the full RAM if needed, will take 50sec which is acceptable if you think about how many new ways you'll get or profit from this function.

    I know that making savestate don't always work like I think, that there are probably smarter and faster ways but anyway, I would like to suggest this function which would be cool :)

    Hey Guys, I'm new here with the Xbox360 Scene so sorry if i can not give you any information immediately but I still want to ask something.

    Many people are asking me what am I using, why I don't use FSD3, why not the TX Runner,.... but one thing is the most asked question: Do II have/use RGLoader... I still don't really understand what RGloader is so I wanna to know it from you, what is RGLoader, is it important, advantages or disadvantages, ...

    If you need any question, do hesitate and ask me, I'll try to get them as fast as possible but so far I can tell you, I did NOT modded my console on myself, I just know the chip and that RxE was pre-installed (FSD3) with DashLaunch.

     

    Hope you can help me and I hope for more that I could learn something new about my hacked console :)

    He's wanting to extract discs to the HD, stock dash (NXE) does not have a way to extract. Only certain games require a "install" (ex: GTA5), to my knowledge the only ways are file manager (which he doesn't like doing that way) or using the DVD extract like FSD has. He is just wanting a way to do it in Aurora which doesn't have it.. I've seen certain skins have it, why someone hasn't created just a plain homebrew app that you can boot and extract DVD's is beyond me (unless there is one), that way these guys wouldn't have to implement the feature every time a new dash comes out

    Oh so having an extracted DVD is something better then just installing via dash?

    Just leave a copy of FSD on the HD and use filemanager to boot FSD, Extract your DVD from there and use guide button to reboot to Aurora, its not that complicating  to do, I left FSD on my HD even tho I don't use it anymore, it makes it easier to find the Title ID's when I need to see them. although I set Aurora as my default dash.

     

    i was hope you add one more button to aurora>>>>>>extract dvd button like fsd its very very important cuz we have just tired using file manger cuz its not easy like a button to do that to copy files from cd so please please..........i was wait that button for 5 months but no one care :unsure:  :unsure:  :unsure:

    Why you no use Metro/NXE for installing the disk properly and then use NXE2GOD? Simple and save...

    It will be great if you can put an option, in order to set the fan speed. My xbox, heats like a oven.... ha ha ha

     

     

    You can do it with dash launch, just go to config option and configure the fan speed

    There is a skin with menu sound.. if you like the song thats cool, if not.. it is really easy to change it ;-)

    I've made a couple of them.. even made a couple of video tuts on making the skins.. just never made a tut on changing the song.. but again.. it really is simple to change it..

    Just because the default skin doesnt contain certain things, doesnt mean it isnt possible.. lol

    Oh, sry ^^

    Forgotten to tell that it's possible, even if I have on with Star Wars...

    I was so fixxed to try to explain that sound isn't everything, sry sry sry...
