I think it's pretty nifty that it will run the original native environment for coding. I'd really like to see its proposed specs and architecture.
It's going to have USB, HDMI, SD Card, original cartridge mount (Maybe support for the oldschool accessories?)
1541 drive emulation
The SID chips will come piggybacked in the stock model which is awesome for music.
Fully open source equipment too.

If you lived closer I'd loan out my devkit to you for sure. I'm doing nothing with it since I replaced the 213watt psu.
Still been on hiatus with my own XDK Beta prototype restoration project with the classic xbox........ I'll eventually get around to it when my cars suspension is fully addressed... =\
It seems to me like your project is taking a step for the better, although a more difficult step, its progress nevertheless.
Keep up the great work man!!!!!!

Maybe M$ will allow us to remap the xbox live connection information so we can make our own centralized servers for retro gamers.
That'll be the day....

More than likely it's a broken solder point or cold joint due to heat if the original modder didn't create a decent cooling profile for it in dashlaunch...
The maximum price to fix it is relative to what wrong with the console. You'd have to open it and provide some pictures if you wanted a better idea on what is or at least what isn't wrong with it.
Pictures of all the wiring would do wonders as well as letting us know which model of Xbox 360 it is.
Use this to figure out what model you have and then when you get it open, take a picture of the modchip so you know which one was used, then I could probably get you a wiring pinout which would let you be able to visually check the problem yourself..

Not sure if you've seen these or not before on the TX forum/howto wiki, but I compiled them for personal use since I find that default DIP settings on heat damage used consoles that I refurbish // hack almost always need a custom DIP setting.
As for the jumper, I find that having it in the middle is usually the most sucessful and I like to also solder in a 30uf disc cap.

It's a rather nifty piece of software that allows you to build an HTPC / Arcade, that is with the right addons.

I really should click his link before saying something like it'd have to emulate the opposing consoles stuff which allows the programs to run. If it did work it'd run slow as hell I'd think since it's running two types of instruction sets and highly doubtful unless working from a devkit that had sufficient memory to support such an action.

Ranks are like karadashians irrelevant
Well said. I'm a member on another forum and I think I have like maybe 82 posts on it or something and there's nothing different other than your sub avatar changes to look a little bit cooler.

I don't think you'll find any skin on Kodi that resembles FSD3. There are a few Xbox style skins like the Xbox One skin, the JX 720 skin or even the old school Project Mayhem 3 skin. There was a skin called Xperience, but that was for an XBMC4XBOX build... it's since been updated to Xperience1080 and lost its FSD look in favor of Xbox One.
But for the most part Kodi has tried to distance it's relation with the Xbox. Skinners have mostly gone in another direction, so either skins aren't compatible with the latest Kodi builds, or they don't resemble what you're looking for. Something that may feel similar is maybe Black Glass Nova. I actually tested this skin for a little while, it's very well made, but a little heavy.
edit: I found an unofficial update to Xperience More skin, maybe it's what you're looking for. Not sure if it will work on Isengard+ builds though as the file says 14 (Helix). Updated file here if you want to try it.
I personally like using Titan and its all-in-one screen view with my filters set as a widget which makes Genesis // Trakt library integration a whole lot more elegant. http://bestforkodi.com/enhanced-all-in-one-home-screen-titan-skin/

ps1 had multi tap too it was shaped like L aahhh the good old days xD
I stand corrected. Never knew it was made for PS1.
-
4 controllers are supported ? or i m missing something i really wanna play CTR with my friends
The original playstation only had 2 controller ports so as far as mapping two new controller into the game I doubt thats going to happen.

This thread just reminded me that I still need to find a slim final devkit psu...... I need to get off my ass and do that bios switch mod on that xdk beta kit that I've been working on too..... =P
-
I'm guessing you have a slim. Clean the sensor with a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol. the only other reason it could be happening to my knowledge is that the sensor ribbon is slightly unplugged on the RF board and you'd have to take the case apart, remove the front cover and re-attached the cable in fully and evenly.

can anybody supplie version 2.0.9 , newest version isnt available at original source anymore.
would be great.
The best I can do for you is 2.0.8 I never did find a copy of 2.0.9 and the main release page for it is no longer hosting the link which would lead me to believe that they pulled it.
Anyways, here's a link that will give you four different sources for 2.0.8 http://down.emucr.com/v3/4648226275721216
Actually, here it is. pcsxr_360_2.0.8.zip

So this is for linux audio streaming locally?
Interesting....

This is Linux/Libxenon, Aurora is XDK
This is Linux/Libxenon, Aurora is XDK
lol kinda jumping the gun a bit unless he winds up totally successful and converts it to XDK. That would be even cooler!
EDIT
you know, if he's successful at this project of his and does do a XDK conversion, a whole lot of video and audio codec support will become available for everyone.

@ Swizzy, that GIF support would come in handy now! Dude Skyhi, YOU ROCK BRO!!!
If a Kodi Isengard (Or even Helix) build could be ported over that would be so freaking awesome!!!

If I had a mac, I'd just install parallels and run an XP vm in order to use any tools not made for OSX...
Good job by the way, it's nice to see compatibility opening up for other users.
-
Isn't there already some kind of animations available? i've seen some skins with animated backgrounds...
I just figured it would be simpler to do from the end user level. Nice that people can do it with the with the XuiTool though.
-
They're as easy as the current filters etc. (the scripts are made using LUA, there will be some documentation for the custom functions not found in LUA (Aurora specific libraries/functions) aswell as some examples of how the scripts can be made
I might make more scripts available once we've released it, i have plenty of ideas of scripts i could make, but i kinda want the community to make some scripts aswell after all, it's a community
There will be a repository where you can download scripts from aswell along with a browser/installer which will be included at launch, this repository will be maintained by us to begin with
Nice!!

This would be pretty cool and would expand the capabilities of skinners I think.
Should'nt consume too many resources.

i have xbox 360 slim after glitching it with cr4 everything went smooth and boots as normal, i have noticed that the fan speed is very fast so i tried to install fsd and dashlunch to lower the fan speed but it didnt work . i have opened the xbox and check the blue wire in case was running on 12 v mode but the wire was in place not been moved so all the wire are connected properly please help
Did you do the glitch and jRunner flash? Can't the temp settings be set from setting them on NAND itself in jrunner? Not sure if dashlaunch can override them or not but if you didn't do the glitch yourself and someone else did might that be whats going on? Yes heat damage can do it to.
