  1. i could point out in the books i have from my college classes, the NEC 2014/2011.. if you connect the batteries to a LOAD.. then yes, double voltage/amps.. depending if in series/parallel but, IF you connect the batteries ALONE together, the electricity stored will equal out..

If you put them all in a danish tin and put the lid on tight they short out all at once which is around 24volts with whatever amp rating each battery has essentially burning the living shit out of your hand...  Try it sometime you might enjoy it!

  2. Ranks right up there with this battery video. BS, but he sells it like truth.

I did what he did with the 9 volts once and made a very ugly incendiary device. And if the battery's are in parallel their voltage will double but the life will not. Whats really fun is when you get one of those round Danish Butter Cookie tins and you put all your double A's upright in it until its packed tightly and then firmly place the lid on top of it bare handed cuzz you're manly like that.

  3. We do.. Just probably where you're at they don't.. They are running 300mb lines everywhere.. Twc has 100mb lines all over too

We have fiber out here, dude I'm 60 miles from Silicon Valley. Unless you're a FiOS subscriber or commercial line 30 megabit is the fastest comcast offers where I'm at.

  4. You don't FTP over the internet, you FTP using your local network connection which runs at 100mbit/s

You can use a Transfer cable with Aurora to transfer all the data, using the built-in stuff only content read by the xbox 360 dashboard will be copied

Doesnt it have a max transfer rate of 12mbps though? When I FTP thats the fastest I can get it to transfer and only with FSD and its 12mbps total two files running at 6. Kinda why I prefer to just plug the damned thing into my topside hot-swappable SATA dock and mount it with FATxplorer.

  5. Hi everyone it has been a while since i been on here lol.

here goes i have rgh 360 i have been playing ok until recently. i have minecraft 360 edition it worked fine until i got all the dlc. when ever i load the game it loads up and before i can press A to continue bang fatal crash and reboots freestyle. so i thought i would do the usual and delete the cache and also removed the dlc but now it does exactly the same thing.

what else could i do to get rid of this fatal crash intercepted.  i remember before when i had jtag to edit the launch.ini but i cant remember what to edit lol.

Disable Fakelive, I had the same issue with Minecraft360 until I did that. The DLC will work with XM360 and the latest TU works as well.

  6. I might look at creating this script again, keep in mind tho... it causes Aurora to boot ALOT slower (it was written in lua which needs to be interpreted before it can be executed) and, this script runs BEFORE the splash, so you were presented with a black screen with nothing on it while it was doing the checking...

Maybe a toggle setting like autoscan for TU's and Content

  7. It takes quite a bit of checking to check if each title exists or not, me and MaesterRowen wrote a script for that which i then lost track of that checked during startup and deleted any missing titles and their assets (where device was attached but the game/title couldn't be found)

Thats unfortunate, seems like it would be a really good script to have. Especially if it had duplicate entry detection.

  8. You can also manually delete games from the database in Aurora...

I know you can manually delete the games from the database from the title info screen, was just thinking that an auto-remove feature for items not in their database location and an overwrite rescan feature would be nice to have. I did say it wasn't anything of urgent importance, just something that would be convenient to have. That or something that said "Path not found or external device disconnected, Delete?"

  9. Instead of having to delete the whole games database and re-scanning after moving a title from one location to another so that it doesn't create duplicate entries. Its nothing of urgent importance but I think it would be a good addition. Especially when you add a title incorrectly and have to restructure the file contents so that it becomes playable ie:Battlefield Hardline, GTA V, Alien Isolation, etc...

I had wished I had known how to do multidisc games when I first started and I remember how much of a pain it was to have to redo the whole database once I got the title to work.

  10. when formatted, the drive would still keep its encryption, just be blank, as this is handled by the firmware on the drive. It also handles the decryption, so as long as the pcb on the drive is intact, or it might even be for the sata to usb adapter, then the drive should work fine. :) either way that is a good price. :)

Frys has always had great prices. The only place I go if I'm not buying from ebay or newegg is usually Fry's mother store in Fremont, CA which is around 60 miles from where I live.

All block remapping, encryption etc. etc. is handled by the firmware, it's all transparent for whatever the device is attached to

I was thinking that if the partition changed to something not pre-programmed to one set (NTFS) that it might be unrecognizable by the firmware. I'll find out for sure when he brings it to me, he bought my Glossy slim that I built and wants me to set up that My Book as a secondary. I've only done it with WD Passport and Seagate Free Agent drives so I wasn't sure how well it will play with it since all the encryption for that device is done from the hardware side of its controller board. I took one apart not too long ago, they're pretty interesting but I'd just as soon as gut it for the drive and put it in an array or something else.

  11. Low Level formatting is just writing to the disk directly, this is done by talking to the firmware... the firmware then does the crypto for you...

Then the encryption feature would remain but the low-level might either bypass it from the remap or make the device unusable then? I was thinking that if the partition table changed then the firmware that was programmed for NTFS would either bypass or just cease functionality...

  12. Now before anyone says anything about the USB 3.0, let me stop you there. That is not what this thread is about.

I have a friend who wants to buy this for an RGH2 slim. I have warned him that the My Book series is a 3 1/2" 2TB SATAIII drive encased in a shell that has a logic board on it that does hardware encryption.

My general idea is that unless I totally low-level format this device and then partition as FAT-32 that it will not work at all for the application in mind due to the hardware encryption. Maybe changing it's partition table from the low-level it might not be recognizable by the logic board that does the hardware encryption. I am aware that the drive itself encrypts using the software on the drive, however making accessible is off the board itself. Like the hashkey is stored on an EEPROM or something.

Here's my question: Has anyone ever used a Western Digital My Book 2TB drive for this before and what was your experience with it?

Better yet, anyone ever appropriate a personal NAS drive like the ones Seagate makes for this same type of application? Or has anyone ever used one with ConnectX before?

Here's a detailed description of the device in question: http://www.frys.com/product/7859669#detailed

  13. That and translate instructions, cpu instructions probably won't be the same now as they were when the console was released... then there's the built-in kernel/firmware on the console

Sounds like it would be pretty straight forward providing we had a engineering specsheet on the 360 to do so. I'm guessing one wasn't leaked or released so its been a lot of guesswork and tinkering to find what we've been able to find so far correct?

  14. I've noticed that, but i have been on LiNK and couldnt create a private room.. such as with diablo.. dont wanna piss anyone off.. but as long as we tick the option for Cheats allowed.. will it be a problem?

And i +1 for IP bans.. lol.. as that will kill anyone thinking of breaking rules..

With the few people who actually do LiNK multiplayer, IP bans would kill LiNK I think. I like the tag strategy a LOT better because whoever is using the trainer will get the hint when they're constantly kicked from the channel.

  15. Just google patched connectX download, and put connectX.xex in the aurora:\plugins folder. then goto settings select enable on boot, and fill in the settings for a share on your computer. if you do it correctly, you can now stream files and games directly from the computer as if they are on the xbox. :)

Now if only I had an xex version of mplayer
