  1. yes, all that is VERY possible.. now as to ACTUALLY do it would take some PATIENCE, and TIME... as you have to map all the transitions.. and call backs.. lol.. you could even make FSD style setup.. but like i said.. time/patience.

    that's how the skins work.. AS IS.. you press a button, it calls the transition/action..

    for instance(skins now), you press any button, the bars slide down, you back out of that button action, the bars slide back up, proof your idea works..

    Edit: attached my startup of something similar to what you are asking.. just press B at main menu to see what i mean ;-)

     

    Playing with it now working on the transitions now what I did was took the settings.xui and copied and pasted all of its contents to the main.xui and deleted the settings.xui working on the transitions themselves I have played with something similar with your .xzp on a concept I did a while back.

    End goal is to set it up like a samsung phone where you have a home screen(being the coverflow) and maybe 2 or three more homescreens one for settings one for system and maybe one for quick view and the idea is to be able to hit the settings button and the coverflow page would move to the left bringing in the settings from the right. but yeah will take some work :thumbup:

Ok have a cool idea and wanted to run it across everyone still pretty noob at making skins but I have this concept of an android them touchwiz that are familiar with it but I was wondering can the main xui have mutiple scenes example if I say hit the settings button it would shift the main scene with the coverflow on it say to the right bringing in the settings page and say for the filemanager hiting the system button would slide the main or settings depending what you was on at the time would slide left to the systems page. If this can work have an awesome idea will take a while but pretty ballz in the end let me know what you all think :thumbup:

    That is the error and the dialoge box says an unhandled exception has occured, Only one usage of each socket address(protocol/network address/port is normally permitted)

    I get this when I choose a layout it does switch on console but when I start to change values it does nothing on the console side


  4. Make sure to load an existing Coverflow before you start changing values...

    Otherwise, send me the error message you get and i'll help you fix it

    I will give it a whirl now when I load an existing coverflow from the file folder that came with the program will it load up on the cosole as well also will get that error firing up the rig now to see what I can get.


  5. Awesome app here but for the life of me it keeps bugging out on me. Have read and tried everything both xbox and pc are on wired connections sometimes the changes I make happen most of the time they dont and throw exception errors. But yeah really cool for those who can get it working major props to the devs for this nifty little tool

  6. The reason the additional icons don't show up in your new skin is because the additional icons provided with Aurora are default skin specific.   If you want additional icons to show up across ALL skins then they need to be saved to the aurora/icon/ folder.

     

    If you want to include additional icons in your skin, then you need to look at how skin.xml is configured and follow a similar pattern.

     

    We set it up- where "Built In" icons change with the skin-  so if you change to another skin then your Xbox 360 icon will change to match the skin, but if you use "Additional" icons (either ones in the aurora/icons/ folder or the additional icons included with the skin) they carry over to your new skin and don't get automatically updated.

     

    So, that is why when you go back to Aurora, and set an additional icon, then go to your new skin, the change persists.  

    You are the man I was wondering what that Icon folder was for with in the main Auroa folder time to have some fun now thanks for your quick feed back I have one other question no topic related but did you happen to work on the wiiflow loaders for the wii as well your name seems very familar no big deal on answering back just curious but yeah now that you helped me with that all I have to figure out is why my quickview scenes harder to explain I will post a screenie for better visuals but my Green Dream Skin Im updating to the new .5 and I have the view and settings in tab form so say when I go into the view scene and have the options for selecting skins and themes and such I have added the new Quick View tab so once selecting that it brings up the QVConfig scene, now when choosing add it takes me to the add screen as should but if you press say the LB by accident it tabs over making the add screen unusable and is running the view tabs behind that if that makes sense. Im sure Ill figure it out with some time just really wierd because my settings scene with the add path functions dont show this behavior so Im stumped at the moment lol

I know .5 is still fresh and folks are updating skins still but have any of you guys having issues with the new quick view icons not showing in the quick view scene and also the additional folder with the colored icons as well will not present itself to choose the new colored icons always telling me that it can find the images but if I go back to the default skin and change color icon from there and then go back to my skin the colored icon sticks just really racking my brain here if any one has any clues or suggestions feel free to respond lol thanks for all the help :thumbup:

Not sure what the problem was think I borked the new quickview xur filed so I pulled from the release and modified from there but still having the issue with the quickview tab when selecting the add button the quickview config comes up and if I hit the lb or rb while in that view it treats it like a tab so not sure why if I back out of that view and go back to it it still on the add view screen and the only way to revert is restarting aurora


  9. Try to restore your settings to be default (english) it could be a translation error for instance

    There is no exception logging per say, there is however a log saved in Data\Logs\ which may hold clues as to what caused the crash, but, it's most likely not going to help you much, but if you post the callstack here we might be able to help you figure out where the error is

    I can post the callstack but a little unclear about restoring settings to default how and where do I find or do that?

Ok so while working on my skin after the building of it go and test it out and get an unhandled exception error and the skin gets stuck on the splash screen building the content list and thats as far as it gets is there a log cat of some sort to see where exactly my error is stemming from worked to lond on this thing not to be able to fix it I went through and reverted the changes that I could remember but no go.

     

    Any help would be much appreciated thanks,

Ok ladies and gents my Green Dream skin is like 95% complete but having some issues maybe some of you pro skinners could give some guidance, got all of the new tabs added but my issue lies with the new Quick View tab I have it setup as tab 2 moving to it from tab 1 with the rb button works as with the navigation with the other tabs work as well but when on quick view and you select the add box it takes you to the next page as supposed too but when you hit say the lb button the add view page stays and the filter and sort tab pops up on top of this page the add page stays and the only way to make it go away when selecting the view scene is to restart aurora any help would be greatful when I get some time i will slap up some screenies of the issue

    Hey no problem just as long as credit is given how far are you on it Im working on the settings.xui right now had to make another icon for the connectx tab.

     

    If everything goes as I want I should have this ready by the weekend with work and the family life in the mix

    Hey havent been on in a whille been working on some other projects over at XDA but just seen Aurora was updated when I get some time I will definetly do so been so long gonna have to reteach myself to any skinners out there what are some best practices when updating skins any good file compare programs out there that may help with this sort of thing? Just looking for a quick way to do it if not I can manually look for any differences in both skins(mine and .5b) and make edits and probably have to build some new tabs :thumbup:

    I always thought the ini files had the magic, but never looked to the smc.bin..

    I might be wrong, but isnt the glitch2 for something else (special winbond or something)?

    No they changed the verbage RGH1=GLITCH RGH2=GLITCH2 GLITCH2M is still the same. I agree this site here is awesome with people willing to help instead of flame you right away
