I honestly feel like this site as well as the 360 scene is dead. There hasn't been a single post for a year now and that has me worried. Will there be anymore updates for Aurora? What ever happened to the whole new NOVA experience we were gonna get? Nobody has been making any skins or other content recently. So I have to know, what will happen?

I feel cold waiting this long...

Yes, I believe you can use the stock video player. But there's no cover art or anything. Plus using Plex is just so much easier and over all has a good look and feel to it

It's been a really long time since I've posted here on RMS, and have forgotten several things. Such as how much the Xbox 360 can handle and what not.

But is this a possibility of making? I have been using Plex on Xbox One and most of my devices to stream my movies and shows across platforms from my PC as a media server (because that's what Plex is, lol) And I don't like to use Windows Media Center because it is painfully slow. I'm in no position to assume how Modules, Plugins, or Scripts work on Xbox and Aurora. Because frankly, I have no idea. Reason I'm posting this is because I'm selling my Xbox One and still want to access Plex in some way from my TV. I'm tired of all the nonsense and drama on Xbox Live.

If it is possible to create something like this to access Plex from my Xbox 360, can someone make this? I'd really appreciate it and will even donate to someone who can do this. Thanks for reading my question/request

I've been waiting for someone to make that particular skin available for Aurora! I've missed the old 2006 dash

Yes, there is probably some html data or so in this 0.7b post that messes it up. We will prepare a hotfix soon.

That's good to hear. Regardless, you guys did an awesome job with the update! Eventually once I get things sorted out on my PC, I'm going to learn how to create skins for Aurora (in my free time when I have it)

I thought maybe it had something to do with my Xbox being unplugged for so long. (as we had a really bad storm and didn't want my Xbox fried) But apparently that's not the case :/ If there is someone that can help me understand why this is happening, I'd really appreciate it

Is anyone having fatal crashes with the RSS Feed enabled? It wasn't doing it before, but now it is :/

I figured out why it wasn't working. I guess updating from 0.6b to 0.7b doesn't quite work right 😕

Anyway, for anyone that had the same problem as me... Install Aurora instead of updating, that's what worked for me.

Am I the only one having a problem trying to get games to show up? I could use some help. (And why do LiNK compatible games say LiNK not available?)

I'm having an issue trying to get onto the site on my PC (I'm using Chrome) should I try installing the update via Xbox or should I wait for the website to be back up? If I can't get onto the site can someone upload the download link?

Not gonna lie, that would be pretty cool to have. I would prefer YouTube over Chrome. But I don't think it's possible. Even if it was, ask yourself this; If we can do that on PC, Android, and iOS, what would be the point?

Honestly, I only see a web browser being implemented, not YouTube. But if it's possible, what would we do with it? I doubt we'll be able to download anything, lol. But still, cool idea. I would like to at least have YouTube available.

Something I want to see happen is additional options on Aurora. Such as NXE settings and access to the Music Player. (Or at least Windows Media Center)

Hopefully this version fixes the issue with LiNK. (Unless it's LiNK itself?) When I try to play on LiNK with Aurora 0.6, my RGH crashes All of my games on 0.6 say "LiNK Not Supported" Which is strange because they do have System Link and I've played them on LiNK. However, it might've just been the games that crash, I don't remember. I've been on Xbox One mostly, lol.

EDIT: Hmm, strange... just put Black Ops 2 back on my RGH and tried out LiNK. Doesn't seem to be giving me any problems now. It might've been just that one time. Hahaha! Anyway, very excited about the new update. My only complaint is that one of the main colors for the default Aurora skin is white (which is beyond blinding) So I hope someone will remake the SteamOS skin for 0.7b! If not, could I find a guide on how to make skins for Aurora? Thanks!

felida already made me an edited version of SteamOS for me on Aurora 0.5b and I doubt he'll help me again. He's probably preoccupied with more important things than making a skin for a noob like me, lol. So, I was just wondering if anyone can point me to a guide on how to make skins. I'd like to make some cool stuff for the community!

It's been a long time since I've checked out this page. Version 0.7 still not out? LOL! People still crying for a release date? Still just as annoying. People, you have to understand that it won't come any faster just by asking. Those that ask are like children in a car "Are we there yet?" LOL! Seriously though, it'll come out. Possibly another few months from now. (Maybe) Just do something else in the meantime. It'll come out when it comes out. I have to wait too, you don't hear me crying. Besides, they said it's basically done, they're just doing bug testing and what not. I'd rather it not have any problems than get it early.

I'm back from the dead! LOL, just kidding. Seriously though, it's been a long time since I've been on the scene. I do have a request though. I love this skin, but I wish there was a version without the transparency.That and if there were NXE sounds on this as well. (Scrolling, button pressing, etc.) That's just my wish.

Looks fucking awesome, I'm very excited for this! Now we just need to be able to customize the menu coloring. That'll be wicked! Especially for me, as I want to make it dark (Easier on my eyes at night/dark) Thank you guys for your dedication!

Holy shit this is going somewhere fast and I'm loving it! I gotta get back on my 360 sometime. Too bad I'm having issues with it  Still though, update looks awesome so far and hopefully it'll be out later with fewer bugs than sooner with more (If that makes sense) Thanks for your hard work and dedication!

That is a short list of things I have worked on, currently we are working on getting aurora 0.7b finished so it can be released. It is close, but not quite there yet. still a few more bugs to go over, and a few more features to include, which will also create a few more bugs to go over.

When you have done something productive for the Xbox 360 homebrew scene, and you release it, then I will say that you have earned the right to say we are unhelpful and rude to our users. Reality is we have lives, and this is a hobby for us. Your idea of release time tables make no difference to us. We release stuff when it is ready, and not a minute sooner.

On top of that, it doesnt help the scene, when the non developers complain about every thing. If you dont like what we do, or how we do it, you dont have to use it, or be on this forum. That is a choice you and every other user make. If you dont like our attitude, it is not our problem. You dont have to deal with the unruly people, break up the arguments, deal with the kids who have no idea what they are doing, because they bought an RGH on craigslist, and dont know the first thing about how it works, or what it does, and then expect us to spoon feed them information that is all over this site and the internet already. But since this is the only place you can get any updates or news for what is going on in the world of the 360 any more, outside of live hacking, I dont think you have much choice in the matter. Also, whoever said link is dead doesnt know what they are talking about. Just because it isnt used as much as it once was, doesnt make it dead. Full of cheaters, sure, but dead, no.

You have done a great job, and it was things like that that made me get into a modded console in the first place. Because some people don't want something so great to go away just yet. The 360 still deserves attention for sure. I agree with you as to why some of us "have to be" rude. Which is why the impatient people that constantly ask when something comes out are like children. I couldn't tell you how many people made an account here on RMS just to ask when NOVA would be out, even though it clearly said it wouldn't be out for some time.

Some people are so impatient that they don't even bother reading the information, and just blindly post "when or how" without even a thought. Honestly Gavin, no one should blame you if you have to be rude back to someone who's being rude in the 1st place. Thank you for sacrificing your sanity for the 360 scene!

Regardless, my point on people still complaining is still true. Anyone that keep asking when something will come out are like children. That's one of the reasons why I stopped visiting the site, that and life got in the way. lol
