  1. Great news! I can't wait to try out the new version. Hope it'll be released soon.

[REQUEST] I also hope you guys still find the time to implement a Quick-Launch option. Now, I still have to browse each time to the game I've been playing these last couple of weeks. (This is the last time I ask about this. I won't bother you with this request in the future. ;) )

  2. Games should be listed even if the device is removed, they'll be "disabled", darker... but, you can still download covers etc. for them if you want to do such stuff, the data required for that is stored in the database ;)

Aaaah, so the "device" is actually the location of my games (e.g., external HDD). Thx for clarifying. :)

  3. Oh u're right maybe that's the case coz I haven't tried disc 2 yet...... and one more thing there's a content folder in disc 2 do i need to copy that in the root of HD?

You can copy the files in the content folder of disc 2 to the content folder of you internal HDD, yes. That way, you'll get the HD content of the game, with higher resolution textures and the like. Have fun.

  4. [REQUEST]

I've already expressed how grateful I am for the new Aurora dash! Now, I still have a question and some suggestions.

How exactly can I manage my game list when my devices aren't connected? Do I use Unity? Is there a WebUI?

Some suggestions for added features in future updates:

    1. One-button switching between filters. (I saw that you're working on it, which is great!)

    2. Quick launch the last played game by pressing only one button (or two buttons at the same time). (It would be really fantastic if you could implement this feature, but I saw you have *no answer yet*.)

Keep up the good work guys!

  5. I tried Aurora out today and I'm quite impressed. It's really fast and fluid, and it looks great! I love the work you guys have been putting to it, although I do think there are still a couple of features missing. I've set it as my default dash, but I hope you guys keep improving it! Thanks for this. ;)

  6. It's not rare, i can find 5 versions within a few seconds... however, only 1 of them had ppl seeding it

Anyways, i think i might have this game myself aswell on my old computer... it's a childrens game

Nice. It reminds me of those games that can be played in the sweets corner of the movie theater. ^_^

  7. Ok, so FSD3 doesnt even RIP it, it just freezes at some point, so the disc must be damaged, but if i play from the disc it works...

If I were you, I would search for a download of an iso of the game instead. You already own the game so I don't think it would be illegal. That way, you are sure the game works as it should. But remember that it may be hard for you to find such a rare game online.

  8. It's "Crossover" ethernet cable... but an alternative is to use a router/switch

Ah right! Mixed them up. It's been a while since I made my crossover cable. ;)

Wikipedia: An Ethernet crossover cable is a type of Ethernet cable used to connect computing devices together directly. Normal straight through cables were used to connect from a host network interface controller (a computer or similar device) to a network switch, hub or router.

  9. Try redoing everything. I mean: re-extract the game discs, make sure you have all the right files of the Install disc in your content folder,... Also, it is in fact possible to install the Play disc on a USB. And as swizzy stated, the installation content doesn't have to be unlocked.

  10. You should try managing your game paths (in the settings menu). Try the following: Delete the game path you have now. Change the name of your "Games" folder (or however you have called it) on your external HDD to for example "Xbox 360 games". Reboot the console. Add a new game path to the renamed folder. Reboot FSD and it should work. If it doesn't, report back here.

  11. The time it takes to extract a DVD depends of course on the actual size of the contents and also on the number of files. However, I have never heard of Mini Ninjas and I also don't know how to solve your problem. But I don't think it is a problem at all. Just try out two or three more games and if you can play them, be happy. ;)

If no other games work, I suggest you install F3 and extract the DVD from there.

  12. There's also the fact that the console will have much less issues, with PC you can have problems with your antivirus, firewall other software running in the background and what not, you may also have problems with the graphics drivers and other drivers... it can be really annoying with PC's sometimes... the consoles rarely ever have any such problems, the problems that do come are generally caused by hardware failure...

Very much true. Going for consoles is kinda the easy option, but games for consoles are always so expensive. PC games come with a lower price tag and incredible deals.... But that discussion can be continued in a more appropriate topic. ;)

  13. I'm finding a tough choice between Dell's Alienware and xbox one. Some people say alienware could be faster coz it has ssd rather than hdd. Do u guys agree with that?

SSD is faster, that's a fact.

But I keep thinking, and bare with me on this one: PCs can have better specs than consoles, yes, but in five years, games will be optimized for consoles and you'll need even higher specs for your PC to match the quality of the same games on consoles. Same thing with the Xbox 360, for example: an eight-year old PC with similar (or even better) specs as the 360 will not run BioShock Infinite the way that the 360 does.

  14. I think you're good to the end of 2015, with the standard release of FIFA, COD, NFS, AC,... as sloppy versions for the older Xbox360 and PS3. Most (and the best) games of 2015 will be XB1, PS4 and PC only. I think last-gen consoles will be dead at the beginning of 2016, except maybe for some XBLA of PSN titles.

  15. Hey Swizzy, thanks for the reply.

It seems to have done better. I could play a couple of games easier. I did however got some Fatal Crashes, but now when I find a good rom I can finish the map, go the lobby and wait for the new map with everyone. Before this, waiting on the Lobby would crash me all the time.

Got any other ideas I could try ? Oh and btw, I tried with both contpach and fakelive off, as well as just one of them off. Both off seemed better.

    Regards,

Before, you said: "I'm using FSD 3 Rev775, Kernel 16747 with avatars". Does that mean your avatar isn't greyed out anymore after the dashboard update? If not, then I don't have a suggestion, but if it still is, then you should patch the avatar and your COD BO II will work fine.

  16. theres a lot of ppl playing im the same tu as everyone else and yes  :c

Same thing with me too. I see people playing, but I go to find games in D3:RoS and it lists nothing.

Perhaps you guys need to recheck that the IPs of your virtual LAN server (with port forwarding) match your console's IP. For example, all could have the following address: 192.168.1.9

  17. The question has already been answered, I just thought I'd add this: You can use hard drives with larger storage capacity than 2TB, however, only 2TB of it will be recognized by the RGH console.
