  1. A little explanation on how the scanning process works:

When a default.xex is found, scanning for that folder is aborted (to speed up the scanning process, and avoid games with multiple xexs).

With your new setup ( /Hdd1/Games/Star Ocean The Last Hope/disc 1 ), adding Hdd1/Games with scandepth 2 is enough.

What you are experiencing after moving the folder is not a bug, it is by design. We decided NOT to add a file exists in the scanning process, in order to keep it fast. If you move disc1 to a subfolder, in the database it will still be at the original folder. When that folder is scanned it does not check the subfolders for the reason stated above.

I think if you had used the database cleanup utility script it would have deleted all those disc1 entries from the db (as the xex would no longer exist) and then the scan would have worked (but I'm not 100% sure, as the cleanup script is not mine).

Another option would have been deleting the scanpath and add it again, but that would force you to rescan and download everything for the single disc games again as well.

  2. Although your roter has UPNP, the port forwarding could stilff fail.

Try to manually port forward the data and broadcast port to your xbox ip. There are plenty of tutorials online for all brands of routers about how to port forward.

Baseversion never change with a TU, baseversion is part of the xex... but yew, it's likely a bug, or rather something we overlooked... i'll see if i can look into this problem further...

TU handling was designed around titleid, and it works as expected. If it's a bug, it's one in the design, not in Aurora :P

Perhaps we can look into using basever in addition to titleid...

Are you sure the settings of Aurora ...like  Login  ..... API Key ...And settings DASHLAUNCH

login/api key is not required for covers

Step 1. Check that the games actually have covers on xboxunity.net

Step 2. Make sure livestrong is NOT enabled in dashlaunch (and that you have dashlaunch installed in the first place)

If both of these steps are OK, i have no idea what the problem is...

though pretty sure that if covers are available in f3, those 2 are already correct....

Can you provide logging? espesially when you REFRESH the artwork?

I tried to refresh button with no success, black ops 2 still shows as Link not suported. I am going to copy fresh aurora to a new folder, scan for content and see what happends. Also, I used the update option within aurora when it was released, not a fresh install.

    Here is the content.db: <removed>

    Mattie:
in the db systemlink is false, but in the cover json it's true...

    did the fresh copy work?

    nemesis_gsc:
in the fresh copy all games are showing as link not supported after scanning. The covers downloaded, unity connects and system link games working ok.

    Mattie:
Ok, I will log this as an issue for 0.7

This also means that the file Swizzy is referring to is still ok, as that file contains the info for LiNK to work at all.

I have a similar problem, when I look in subtitles, example Black Ops 2, it shows as LinK not supported and in the subtitles from Borderlands 2 it shows as LinK supported. My filters is working as see borderlands 2 but not Black Ops 2. Both games plays fine and connect to system link rooms normally. I believe the problem began after updating to aurora 0.6b.

Which file should I delete? Can you be more specific?

    Thanks in advance!

I think this file is not of influence for the filter. The file is for the plugin to see if the game is compatible. The filter gets it information from the DB, and that information is part of the cover xml from xbox unity. Could you pm me your content.db from the data folder?

Also, you can try to refresh the artwork of Black Ops 2 to see if that changes the setting.

I am not sure how it works here with links so I will just let everyone know that you can go to youtube and search for nickmoses05.  I will be right at the top.  Please let me know what you think.  If you do not like anything please let me know first instead of giving a thumbs down because that really hurts me

feel free to post a link

good luck with the blogging  (most ideas have been posted above already)

    Thanks for the suggestions.

Only the first disk is showing up in dash-launch. I will try increase the scan depth path to pick up both and let you guys know if that works.

Will be great if the answer is that simple.

I have a number of double-disk games already ripped and installed on my HDD in XEX. Would really prefer not having to redo everything in GOD format.

On that note - I'm not even sure how to rip original disks to GOD - obviously its easy with an ISO image, but creating an ISO from an original disk isn't simple.

Much easier to let Aroura/FSD just extract my games directly to XEX.

Thanks for the help guys. Appreciate it.

increasing the scan depth won't work. It is designed to stop when it finds the first default.xex

In your setup it is <folder>\default.xex (disc1) and <folder>\<subfolder>\default.xex (disc2)

It will never pick up the 2nd disc UNLESS you would add it as a separate scan path altogether.

<folder>\<disc1folder>\default.xex and <folder>\<disc2folder>\default.xex is what you need to do (no need to use god or dashlaunch, it works fine with aurora like this)
