    Garzol question for ya: I´ve installed and its running great, but I´m unable to get to work the XBLA section; since it only shows the games in it, if ONLY 2 criteria are met: disable all playbox content display options and leave it as coverflow (FSD) and the second option is to have all games as favorites in FSD prior to enabling the skin. Has this happen to anyone else? The skin is slick and would like to use its full features, but for the moment I have to stick with coverflow in order to view the XBLA games.

    Hope you can look into it, and guide me if I´m doing something wrong. 

     

    FYI: FSD is at its latest update (F3 775) , as well as Dashlaunch (16547)

    Hi, sorry for the late respond, been busy.

    Sounds odd, I myself am using the Icon view with no problem, sounds like some random bugg with FSD, tried reinstalling FSD?

    I've got some issues here ;< 

    When I select PlayBox One skin from the list and reboot the console, the black screen came out and nothing else happens.

    Do you have any ideas how to resolve this? I really want to get it on my xbox :>

     

    I've got the latest updates of FSD3, Dashlaunch, kernel etc.

    Sorry for late respond, very busy atm.

    That's a odd problem, have you solved it?

    Is it constant black screen? Have you tried redownloading the skin? If you have try deleting fsd cache.

    Thanks guys :D

    @ Game_Over, indeed :) Not sure if i'll create any more new skins, atleast not now, I have very little spare time.

    @ cannellizer, glad you like it :)  yeah i wish i could make it a more advance play function so people could choose among many songs, but that will have to do for now !

     

    Now to my latest little creation, it's not that huge but i've made a child proof version of PlayBox One.

    I've seen alot of request around the Xbox community but no skin that actually is 100% child proof, so i thought i'll convert mine to one :)

    The homescreen and interface is still there, you can still choose Xbox360 library, XBLA library etc. But the functions as settings, delete game, move games etc have been blocked.

    I've also blocked the ability to choose another skin while in the PlayBox One CPE, just to make sure none of the little rascals actually changes skin and then starts deleting stuff :)

     

    Anyway here's the changelog:

    - Removed functions (Rename Game, Remove GameSaves, Move Game, Manage Trainers, Move between libraries,
    - Removed the ability to switch skins while in the PlayBox One Child Proof Edition (ONLY WAY TO REMOVE IS THROUGH FTP)
    - Removed Filemanager, Copy DVD and other stuff that could damage available files.
    - DELETE blocked
    - Settings Removed
     
    If you have to Original ''PlayBox One 1.4'' Installed, you could choose you preference there before moving to this one, for example
    which gameview you want, if avatar/weather is to be displayed and other options.
     
    NOTE: Alot of functions still exist, but no function that could harm your gamelibrary or other stuff (settings), this is skin version is made for
    use so that parents don't have to worry that their games will be removed/moved/renamed in any way.

    Whoops, alright. I thought I had to replace bootanim.xex with fakeanim.xex. So have to put it on the Xbox 360 HDD. Should i use Horizon for this or should I put it on an external drive and put it on the HDD through FSD?

    And what about having multiple video files?

    Put it on your internal, and in dashlaunch add where you have put the fakeanim.xex

    You can have as many videos as you want, just put them all in the jukebox folder and fakeanim will choose them by random.

     

    I am having this same issue, I have cut video down to 8sec and I save it through Windows Movie Maker and it doesn't show during boot. The other anime in jukebox work so I know I have it set up correct. Any one have ideas or suggestions for this?

    Video needs to be WMV9, no other format will work

    i have but i want to make a custom one thats totally diffrent

    The default is the only template that exist, all skins are made from that one, I don't see the problem making a totally different skin from it, i made both PlayBox One and Skrivbordet from the original

    New version released!

    New with version 1.3:
    - Dash version, kernel version etc added to settings menu
    - Main menu text fixed
    - Continue text fixed (no longer flashes on a certain position)
    - Button alignment fixed
    - The "Start| ..." box is now layered under the Avatar so that the Avatar is fully displayed at all times
    - The "Settings" box is now shorter and icons reordered, now it no longer cuts the Avatar or the weather icons.
    - Now properly displays ''GB'' on storage units
    - A lot of minor cosmetic improvements
    - Added 14 more wallpapers

    thanks, and thank you for the explanation on the "powers of 2" i was having ttrouble converting some images with that msg, i'll try to re-convert in those zises. btw, what can i use to edit splashcreen.xur ? i've readed that xuitool can make that, but it asks me for other files to open (.xui files)

    It's the right tool, just choose ''All files'' instead of just xui files

    You don't have to edit that one at all, you could if you prefer dds-file, or you could just edit the SplashScreen.xur and add whatever you want there.

     

    I edit dds-files with Photoshop with the Nvidia Texture tool, keep in mind that dimensions of your image (if you're going to use the dds-file) need to be "powers of 2", so resize it to that. Some examples would be 256x256, 512x2048, 1024x512, etc.

     

    Although dds-files could be in other dimensions, but they would look rather bad, an example would be the coverflow in FSD, their dimensions are not powers of 2. But the reason they choose to use dds there I guess would be because they load ALOT faster than any png/jpg image

    I did a fresh install of my FSD this morning, and I noticed that I missed skinning the file-manager (When choosing which paths should be scanned), doh right.. anyway fixed it now, uploading PlayBox One 1.21 which fixes this.
    Sorry for the inconvenience.

    I'll have to release a minor update again, thanks again GameLov3r for your quick feedback on the skin!
    In Gamecontrolls (moving games) i must have accidentally deleted a file, fixing this with the PlayBox One 1.22 update, again sorry for the inconvenience to those who's affected by my update spam today :) Just want the skin to be as perfect as possible, and with this I hope it will be!

    PlayBox One version 1.2 released!

    New with version 1.2:

    - Compatible with the latest version of Freestyle Dash rev 775.
    - The ability to choose No Background in gameview which makes the selected game's wallpaper show.
    - Live weather in main menu (if choosen in options) with all new icons.
    - 16 more backgrounds
    - TU graphic fixed
    - fixed status on all xurs.
    - The ability to add a music loop by injecting a music file to the PlayBox One.xzp file. Once the file has been injected in can ONLY be removed by opening the skin file a manually remove it. To inject the file use FSD.Skin.Tool.v3.2.by.lew046. The music file you want to inject MUST BE NAMED Music.wav
    - Now able to different animations on home and gameview 
    - Minor cosmetic improvements

    Hi guys, sorry for the delay in the update, my computer broke down so had to re-install everything. Anyway found the bugg and fixed it, please read the 1.1 notes before any more bugg reporting.
     
    Version 1.1 fixes:
    Coverflow ''No Games Found'' bugg & stuck at a none alphabetical order.
    NOTE: It STILL might happen that you'll enter the ''No games found'' bugg (in PlayBox One v1.1) when quickly entering coverflow directly from start when the Xbox is checking the TU's, this i can not fix since this bugg is within the FSD itself, it exist on the original dash as well if you quickly click ''Xbox games'' from start during the TU check.

    Thanks for all the comments :)PlayBox One is very close to completion, I would say about 98-99% complete, there are just some minor stuff I need to improve but it should be ready till the weekend if I don't find any flaws.So brace yourselves for it's release :D

    I've now made 3 different animations which will come with the PlayBox One release, you will be able to choose any of them whenever you want through the customize tab like in the printscreen here, these will work together with a wallpaper of your choosing to make them look even more awesome!i might add more animations later so you guys have lots of awesome stuff to choose from :)

    I've been working very hard on this skin the last few days and maybe, just maybe it will have it's release by the end of the month if everything goes smoothly :)
