  1. Sorry, should have been clearer. On XboxUnity, the media IDs for Forza Horizon are about 6 characters (I can't check right now, the site really doesn't work on a phone), abgx360 showed my default.xex file to have an ID that was about 20 characters. There was no correlation between what Unity lists and what abgx360 showed.

  2. I tried that with abgx360 and it just spat out a meaningless string of numbers. Which is a bit annoying, since the Rally dlc doesn't work with the un-updated version.

  3. This is doing my head in now. My Xbox has an IP address, this would imply it's on the 'net. But it just won't accept my jqe360 username and password... I'm assuming the details I use to log into here are the ones I should be using?

how do I update my kernel and / or dashboard?

  4. When checking "Internet" the console will attempt to connect to some microsoft servers, normally these connections fail with dashlaunch installed because most let dashlaunch block these connections... so, if you enable Beta update in F3 you'll probably be able to see there's an update unless you are on rev 775

Sorry to bump this, but I think I'm on version 3.0b rev775

Do I need to update F3?

  5. Ah, because I can't get my 360 to connect to the internet. It'll see my network, but not the internet. I need to work that one out before I can do updates through F3...

  6. copy the default.xex file which is located in the forza game folder, copy it to a usb and then open abgx360 gui on your pc and click the open file option, then select the default.xex file press launch and it will list it in the log file it produces

Did this an abgx360 output a long string if numbers that bore no resemblance to the numbers on XboxUnity. Am I missing something here?

  7. I tried connecting to the internet for the time last night and it didn't work.

I had a fiddle with the network settings, tried restoring them to the default and all the usual things, with no joy. From the Xbox's own diagnostics, it is connecting to my network with no problems, it just won't connect to the internet. Everything else on my network is connecting to the internet with no problems.

I've tried connecting the 360 to a router on the network or directly to the modem and UT doesn't work with either.

Anyone got any ideas what might be causing this?

  8. I've never tried using title updates before, but am now trying to update my Forza Horizon.

I've gone to http://xboxunity.net and searched for it and there's three sets of three updates.

Where do I go from here? Which one do I need to download? Once over downloaded it, what do I do with it?

Sorry if these are stupid questions, I just can't work this out.

  9. I have an rgh modded, fat 360.

I've got a spare 2.5" sata hdd and a spare hdd caddy to put it in.

I've fat32 formatted the disk, but do I need to partition it before using it with my 360?

My existing drive seems to show up as "hdd1" and "Games", should I be partitioning the drive so it shows up like this, or will the 360 do it for me?

  10. It's there any way of checking what's in the database? I only downloaded XM360 yesterday, so I would assume it would be up to date.

I grabbed SF3 and Darkstalkers at the same time and copied them both to the same place. Darkstalkers is fine, SF3 doesn't run at all. Annoying.

  11. When you run XM360 it'll show you a lock icon, etheir it's a locked one or it's unlocked, you'll know instantly...

It didn't appear in the XM360 list. So what might be the problem?

  12. You need to check that the game has been unlocked and also have the correct name using XM360 or similar (this also requires that you have it in the correct folder structure)

Fairly new to this. Howe do I check if it's unlocked? Can you point me at some tutorials?

  13. I've recently been loading up in XBLA games and just about everything I've torrented had worked fine.

However, as luck would have it, the game I most want to play - Street Fighter 3 - doesn't work. When I try to load it up, it just goes to a black screen and stays there. Though sometimes it seems to pop up a "logged in" type system notification.

Any ideas why it might not be working?

  14. as it uses xtaf (byte reversed fatx) which windows don't understand,

I plugged the drive I took out of the 360 into my PC via USB and it came up as a DVD ran quite drive. Its this why?

Do I need any special software to format the 500gb drive? In using XP if that makes any difference?

  15. Yeah, it's rgh modded. The drive is a western digital scorpio blue, which I believe should work.

I hadn't considered that it might be partitioned, I'm sure my PS3 saw it as one 500gb drive. I'll dig out the cables to connect it to my PC and see.

If I FAT32 format or in windows, will I still need to format it with the 360?

  16. I've just swapped the 120Gb hard drive in my fat 360's hard drive caddy for a 500Gb one, plugged it into my 360 and formatted it, using the original format utility. Only problem now is: my Xbox things my hard drive is only 145Gb.

Any ideas why this might be?

  17. I have one of the earlier 360s that has a 120gb drive that slots onto the side / top of the console. The Xbox itself is rgh modded.

How easy would it be to open the caddy holding the 120gb drive and replace said drive with a 500gb one that currently resides in my PS3?

I can see I need a Torx screwdriver to open the caddy, but do I need to prepare the drive in any way? Is there something that needs to be on there for it to work with the 360?
